If I could give 0 stars I would! We recently built a new home and our builder highly recommended Simonton Windows, but we have found them to be the worst vinyl windows ever! As a REALTOR who's seen thousands of homes, I have never seen so much cold air coming through vinyl windows. There's so much cold air coming through that ice forms on the inside of the windows. Their windows need to be more energy efficient and not let so much cold air in. The builder had the Simonton sales rep come out to look at the windows and he said the air coming through is normal and there's nothing they can do. That's just pathetic and unacceptable. We bought much less expensive replacement windows in our old home and they never leaked cold air like these Simonton windows do. See my youtube videos showing the ice and cold air and

I have Simonton 5300 series windows and sliding doors throughout my house and even in the windiest of single digit temps this year they are rock solid. After reading some of these other reviews I believe some of them to not represent this company so well. We had a piece of glass get cracked during shipping and they had a replacement in less than two weeks. Now that's a company backing up their warranty. Also consider they offer several lines of windows including builder grade. The previous reviews seem vague. I am curious if they had builder grade. The 5300 series can hold up to our St. Louis temps and storms with ease. Would recommend this brand of window to anyone!

I ordered an expensive garden window from Simonton. While waiting for the contractor to come back to do the finish work, the weather got cold and I noticed the windows are getting condensation on the bottom part and creating moisture in the base of the window. I called Simonton because I spent a lot on this window and it is brand new. My fear is the bottom of the window will rot out prematurely and the tiles I plan to install in the bottom of the garden window will come loose because of the moisture. They told me condensation is a natural occurance and they could not help me. I was told by the salesman to put a fan in the window or open the window for ventilation- really? when it drops below freezing, I am suppose to open my windows? None of my other windows are getting condensation, except the one lone old window I have left to replace in my house. I will never buy another Simonton window again. Poor product, poor customer service, poor advice from their help.

We had a Simonton window replacements for most of our house windows just last month. It cost over $8,500.00 for "double hung windows." The windows were installed with only screens for the bottom sashes and no screens for the top sashes. The purpose of double hung windows is so you can open both top and/or bottom sashes for circulation. Otherwise why pay extra for double hung windows? The windows were installed on 10/25/2017 after we ordered them on 09/02/2017 through Home Depot. The Home Depot claims "they have to climb the corporate ladder to get the free window screens for you." FREE window screens??? Double hung windows require screens that cover both upper and lower window sashes. This has been a nightmare. We reported a broken window concerning one of our new windows and still waiting. STAY AWAY FROM HOME DEPOT & Simonton windows if you want double hung windows. Not worth the time, expense dealing with these people just to have an expensive job done right the first time. Better choices elsewhere.

We just moved into a house and have to give big props to Simonton for their handling of a damaged screen door (definitely from previous owners and not an inherent issue with the door) for sending a replacement quickly. They support their own product from our experience and we will definitely keep them in mind for the future if we decide any changes are needed (although the house was completely redone with their windows so hopefully that wont be needed anytime soon - no complaint about the windows either at this time). Thanks to Colleen for handling everything.
