On the minus side it seemed like the cost, even with the 35% discount was on the very high end per linear foot compared to other products ($36/linear foot where other gutter guard experts on the internet said basically $25/linear foot should be the highest). I suppose I should have negotiated this cost. Also these are not maintenance free and minor cleaning once each year will probably be required for my situation although as long as I can do that from ground level that is ok (long poll with soft brush at angle on the end to clean them off) which is way better than cleaning out the gutters full of leaves using a ladder. Also the salesman didn't mention anything about icicles that can tend to form in the winter along the gutter due to freezing on top of the fine mesh when the roof thaws a bit and water runs down to the mesh and freezes on it. My understanding is that this won't harm the roof (not an ice dam) and I don't have gutters over the driveway or anywhere there are walkways that this might be an issue, but only time will tell if this is the case and if no roof damage results from this. I also did see several bad reviews on leaf filter but not certain as to how prevalent they are compared to those where it worked and don't post
