Abandoned by Sun Badger Solar, but lucky enough to have the installation completed. Unfortunately, left without support for the system & had difficulties finding a company to help. If you’re in the same situation ELEVATED SOLAR AND ELECTRIC - locations in Brookfield and West Bend, WI is highly recommended. The can support Enphase.

I wanted to wait in writing a review until I gained comfort with my installed solar system. I am now there! I would highly recommend Sun Badger Solar, as I felt like they cared for me and my family, and reacted to status, installation, and issues quickly. with excellent, timely communication throughout the whole process. This is a very proactive, customer-dedicated company that was a joy to work with.
I just want to publicly acknowledge the fine job and process that Sun Badger Solar executed to install our solar system. It is a system consisting of not only solar panels, but multiple electric meters, batteries, inverters, and electrical systems. We have 20 solar panels that have reduced our electrical bill by $150-200/month. Our batteries will provide enough power to critical systems like the heat and refrigerators for about 10-16 hours in the event of a power outage, then charge up the next day to provide enough power through the night.
On the initial visit, Sun Badger came to the house to look at the roof, attic, and basement to assess for the optimal solution for us. They were upfront, and provided estimates on different configurations of panels & batteries. We were able to negotiate a solution that would work for us, based on a budget that would work for us. From that point, we waited about 2.5 months for them to do the permitting, interfacing & scheduling with the electric utility company, and the draw-up before the final install.
The installation was pretty straight forward, but ran into issues that Sun Badger and their team stuck with to identify the root cause and resolve with the equipment manufacturer and the electric utility company, which took another 2.5 months. Once those were addressed and resolved, we have had no problems or issues. That has been now 8 months.

After all, the experience with this company has been fair.
The sales pitch was very generic without any specific local regulations as far as the power metering from the local company and the right connection from the solar array to the grid or the household consumption.
I was told that I will have a bidirectional meter, that will track my consumption and the array production but it turned out all my production will go to the grid and it will be a one directional meter that will measure that production. The grid serves as a giant battery that you will store your solar production and you will be charged for the difference. If you over produce what you consume, then you will be paid 4cent per Kw/h.
The Enphase combiner comes with 2 CT (current transformers) meter clamps. None were installed and they were left out by the installer. I think it would be helpful for the homeowner to know the domestic consumption (luckily I had my own installed, ''Sense" prior to solar installation).
It took about 8 months from when I signed the contract for the permits to be pulled and the system to be installed and then around 1 month for the meter to be commissioned with permission to operate by my local provider (We Energies, WI)
I had the Enphase account already set with the Enlighten app so when the time came to connect online I downloaded this other app that will help you set up the system called ToolKit. The company could have done this for me but I wanted to get this running asap.
This was a 6.4KW/h , 17 Meyer Burger 375 w panels IQ8+ Enphase micro inverters and total cost was around 34k.

I have just completed the process of going Solar and I must say that working with Sun Badger was a great experience. They performed all of the heavy lifting with paperwork and equipment and their service was fantastic. They maintained contact with me during every step and now I am enjoying the production of electricity being generated on top of my house at a very affordable price. I highly recommend this company to anyone that is ready to make the switch.

Friends had Sun Badger install their solar system and referred us. The sales process was very informative, friendly and open. No high pressure. Their process of providing information on the solar options, financing as well as the inspection and review steps was comprehensive. Once we decided to have Sun Badger handle our installation things continued to progress as expected. The design and planning progressed quickly. Sun's communication during this time was excellent. Once we received required permits the install was scheduled promptly. The installation went well with one small glitch that the team handled. Once the installation was complete the communication quality suffered while we were finalizing inspections and waiting for commissioning. However the project was completed and we're commissioned well within the timeframe promised. We are extremely satisfied with the outcome and the decision to go with Sun Badger.

From start to finish my experience with Sun Badge Solar was overly positive. One of the first steps in the process is to meet with one of their solar energy consultants. I was worked with Dustin Sumner who was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to answer any and all questions. He did a fantastic job of laying out all of our options and showing us how solar could be beneficial for us. However, never during this process was I pressured into making any decisions. It was always a casual conversation with no pressure.
The project schedule played out pretty true to what I was told to expect. I signed my contract with Sun Badger in early August 2020 and had my solar panels installed in early January with interconnection to the energy grid in mid-January 2021 (about 5.5 months start to finish). You constantly get updates and emails from the project team to make sure that you are aware of the latest progress.
Installation went very smooth. It took the install team about 1.5 days to complete my project. It took them a bit longer than anticipated due to snow on my roof at the time of install. Yes - they are able to install the system year round and not damage your roof! Unfortunately, one of my panels was damaged in transit. The installers immediately brought this to my attention and put a plan together to ensure that a new panel was ordered and would get installed. They even identified that the caulk around the new electric meter needed to be redone. This was all identified by the install team and did not require me bringing these issues to their attention to have fixed. I appreciated the install team's attention to detail and professionalism.
The Enphase app that you use for tracking and monitoring your solar system is very easy to use and informational. It's amazing to track your energy consumption and production. The only sad part is cloudy days, but you can't control the weather.
I'm particularly impressed with Sun Badger's warranty. Both my solar panels and the labor are covered by the warranty should anything go wrong over the next 20 years. That's pretty impressive and shows you how confident they are in the product and their workmanship.
Sun Badger even guaranteed that I would still receive my 26% tax incentive. The rate was scheduled to drop to 22% if the system wasn't connected to the electric grid by 12/31/20. Guaranteeing the 4% difference wasn't something they had to do. However, it shows you how much they value their clients and want to do right by them.
I am extremely happy with my decision to install solar on my house. If you are even considering solar, I'd highly recommend reaching out to Sun Badger Solar for a consultation. You wont' regret it!
