Starting with Ryan Frazier who laid out the company history to instill trust in our decision. My husband and I were home thru the entire installation. The work crew came in and they each had a position and they went to work-very orderly with no doubt they knew exactly what to do and were very polite and respectful. Our crew was top notch as far as we were concerned consisting of:
Juan, Alan, Jesus, Kevin, Demond and Dennis: their workmanship was impeccable and so appreciated until the last tarp was rolled up. A++ our decision to go with West Shore Home was not made on a whim-in fact it took literally years! Amazing quality & appearance!!

I had a stroke and had no grab bars in my old shower and love the grab bars and feel much safer in my new shower.

We had West Shore Home install an upgraded walk-in shower in our master bath. The unit that was in there was a contractor-grade one-piece stall that was hard to clean, and had some safety issues.
Before I get into the "bad and ugly", I have to say the the installation crew that installed our new shower did a great job, and the finished product looks good, has a number of safety features, and will be quite functional. In addition to being craftsmen, they were very considerate, and spent a good deal of time with my wife to ensure all of the final fixtures were placed just so. Understand that the 2-star rating in no way reflects on their work.
As the review title suggests, the 2-stars is due to the cost and the shroud of secrecy around it.
1. We were interested in getting both of our bathrooms updated at the same time, so I contacted the company to get some kind of rough estimate to determine if I had enough cash available to pay for two shower installs. No can do - they must know what the average shower costs, but won't share that figure - I suspect, because most customers would head for the hills. As such, I set up an appointment to get an estimate for one.
2. The salesman, an engaging young man, was polite, and after measuring and identifying our options, came up with a price of $26,446. For your information, this is the price that they guarantee for 1 year.
3. After he learned that we were return customers and that I was a veteran, he started pecking away at his laptop. When he finally emerged, he said he could give us a combined discount of $8,155. That left a final cost of $18,291. No itemized list of parts and labor - just a number.
4. We knew, as past customers (this was our 3rd shower install), that the final result would be good, but what customer is going to be happy purchasing any product that is marked up 30-40% (estimated based on previous projects).
5. Here's the kicker, the $18,291 price was only good for that day's session, otherwise we would have had to pay the $26,446. Oh no, that's not high-pressure sales according to their website. :-)
So now anyone reading this review will be able to see some pricing with all of the covers removed.
Bottom line: Yes, we paid the outrageous price for the shower, and yes it is nice. Will they get the second job here? When a certain hot place freezes over...

One word to describe our experience with this company: Nightmare.

Have plenty of pictures if you want to see. Do not fall for their scam sales tactics, especially how they really play up that it'll be complete in one day. It's "complete" in one day with shoddy workmanship. Also, EXTREMELY overpriced. They come to fix their mistakes (like leaving work out of code, punctures in piping, incomplete caulking that causes water to dribble out of the bottom of your shower onto the floor in multiple places, unlevel shower doors so they don't even close correctly or completely, a bubbling shower wall, and more...), costing you more of *your* time; yet, here I go to flush my new toilet and the handle breaks. This is after two full days of them *re-doing* the *entire project* and then a guy having to come after-hours to fix a leaking fitting-- while I was trying to get dinner on the table. Them redoing the job included them having to replace the toilet and floor they damaged during the initial job. Little snapshots of this whole experience. Saying yes to these people was a bad decision. And it feels worse that it seems like we worked with overall dishonest people. You have to know what questions to ask, you have to bring in a level and check them along the way, and they "upgrade" your project during the "fixes" when they had "guaranteed" the best at the start! For the price, we had assumed we could initially take them at their word. Unless you want to pay an arm and a leg for a *major* headache, learn from us and seriously just run.

Checked with several contractors to remodel the master bathroom. Contacted WSH and decided to have them do the remodel. Decided to do 2 and 1/2 bathrooms (3 in total). Team consisting of Wyatt c, Paris M, Stan P, David, Chris, Arron A, Tony, and Dustin did a tremendous job in completing all three in just two days. The installation was smooth and professional. I would use WSH again for other projects. The pricing was very reasonable.

Deon Trowell and Alexis Gant, where extremely positive and addressed all my concerns. A complete delight to work with and an asset to the West Shore Company.

I am extremely pleased with my experience with West Shore Homes in my purchase of 9 windows to be installed. I called to inquire about windows and got an appointment the next day for Ken to show me the windows available to me and give me an estimate. My wife and I were not pressured by Ken to make a decision that evening, unlike having the experience of another company telling us we had to sign a contract at the time of the estimate in order to get the price they were quoting us. That price was twice what West Shore wanted.
Today Cameron, Vinny, MJ, Mike, and Nate showed up precisely at 8:00am appointment time, with friendly smiles and hand shakes, to install my 9 windows. The care to my carpet and professionalism these guys showed just down right amazed me. They had the old ones out and new ones in and the temperature in the 3 rooms barely dropped 5°, and I had the temp. set back to 50°. Two additional gentleman, Semir and Jon stopped by to see if they needed any help, but all that was left was to finish trimming and and sealing a couple windows on the outside. They did not hesitate to jump in and help, plus helped with cleanup.
With a quick stop by their Manager to introduce himself to me, check things out, and snap a few pictures, The whole crew was on their way back to the shop by mid day.
From my initial phone call for an estimate to a completed job it was exactly 30 days. I would highly recommend West Shore Homes and all these guys if you need any window work done. They proved to me today they knew what they were doing and did a great job for me.

And by all means, think twice before you let anyone pressure you into signing a contract at the same time as giving you an estimate. They are doing that because their afraid of losing you as a customer.

Tim White arrived on time and organized. He came to determine why my small shower (6 months old) was leaking. He determined the lower caulking needed to be removed and redone. He worked efficiently and did not leave a mess. He explained that I was not the cause of the leak (as many of us homeowners believe we have done something wrong).

I am puzzled however why a shower that is used by only one person, three times a week would need to have this repair so soon.

I also had the opportunity to clean my shower head. I can't reach it, and Tim took it down made a few repairs and gave it to me to clean it. What a good feeling.
I am grateful to Tim for tweeking my new shower. I'm wondering if a "tweeking visit" should be part of the process.

Also I am grateful that I could afford to have my old shower replaced in 8 hours rather than 7 weeks as it usually takes the traditional bathroom/shower makeover.

We had some grout that didn't set up nicely, so the company sent out Brian M. with his experience, he fixed the grout work and it's just beautiful! This company is so great! The outside of the new front door looks great. However, I was told that they would measure the old door space which consisted of a double door and that the new door would be custom made to fit the old space exactly, but the door designer did not take into account the material to hold the new hinge and that required the door to shift an inch. That meant on inside they had to shift everything an inch that left a hole in the mop board and a hole in the LFP floor and damaged the drywall on the left side of the door for a 1 inch strip that will need to be repaired and painted properly. Very poor measure and design work
