It’s been six months since I had my windows replaced by 1-800-HANSONS, and I wish I could say it’s been a positive experience—but unfortunately, it’s been quite the opposite. I usually don’t write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my story in hopes of helping others make an informed decision.
From the start, customer care has been incredibly disappointing. When I first noticed issues with air leak, I reached out immediately. To my shock, I had to wait an entire month just to get a service appointment. Even then, the technicians who came were not ready or equipped to fix the problem. I asked to escalate the matter and requested a manager callback—something I was assured would happen. But weeks passed, and no one ever called me back. The silence was frustrating and unprofessional.
What hurts the most is the quality of the windows. These were supposed to be an upgrade, yet they perform so poorly that I genuinely feel like my 25-year-old original windows were better. I’ve even taken the extra step to document this—I’m attaching thermal images to this review to show the heat loss through the new windows. It’s disheartening to see energy and comfort literally slip away due to poor craftsmanship.
To anyone reading this: please think twice before going with Hansons. I regret this investment deeply, and if you're looking for peace of mind, reliability, and real value—this is not the place to find it.
But if you’re okay with wasting your money and dealing with a lack of accountability, then by all means—go with Hansons.
I don't have an option to give 0 ⭐ so giving 1 ⭐.

I needed new windows badly on my new home. The old ones mostly did not open or close, were drafty, and sagged heavily. Hansons was wonderful from scheduling to sales to communication and installation. They made it easy and the windows are gorgeous! It's warm and safe in my home now. I highly recommend them. I have been trying to get Hanson's to properly fix my roof for the better part of six months. The initial installation came and went and our roof was left with dry rot, water damage, and completely broken boards remaining. I have since called Hanson's out to honor the lifetime warranty three additional times to inspect/repair and yet the damaged and rotted sections remain. This issue has completely halted renovations and cost a large amount of money in addition to Hanson's initial labor and material cost due to the stall. Not even a partial refund has been offered or asked for but that will soon change due to the immense amount of stress these interactions have caused. Photos attached

Guys came out on time and got the job done in the time they estimated. Didn’t even take a lunch break. First pic is the old tub. The new shower is great.

The Hansons experience was 5 star from start to finish. It all started when a representative named Tracy Parent came to the house and gave a very knowledgeable and balanced presentation. After the offer was accepted and the documents were signed, Hansons put everything else in motion, and it worked like clockwork. The appointments were met in a very timely fashion, emails and texts kept me in the loop, and the contractors came out and did there thing in a very professional and satisfying manner. When it was all said and done, the proof was right in front of me that I'd may an excellent choice!

Tyler was my representative. Very professional, Courteous, on time. Answered all my questions, respectful of my property. He put covers on his shoes so not to bring dirt or water in my house. Took his time to go over all things, repeatedly asked if I had any questions. Very easy to talk to. I would recommend you ask for Tyler if you are getting a quote from Hanson. My nephew used them last yr for some windows. One cracked less than 6 months after installation and Hansons replaced it no problem. Couple of complaints so far, one they play pricing games, they did it with my nephew and with me. They show you a crazy number then go back and add discounts. And if you commit to us now we can give another discount. I think they are a little expensive for vinyl windows. They gave me a crazy price for gutters as well. I was thinking it would be $10,000 for the windows and gutters, but after discounts it came to almost $20,000. The sales guy measures your windows, and then a week later, another person has to come out to measure. So that adds to delays in getting your windows. 3rd complaint, they can email you, but you can not reply back, texting is the same. I shouldn't have to call to reply to an email or text. It will be 5 weeks at least until they can install my gutters and 3 months for the windows. For as big of a company as 1800hansons, you would think they could be quicker, especially during the slow months of winter. My compliments above stand, but wanted to add negative thoughts as well. They are a reputable company but could do things a little differently. Update, I contacted Tyler and asked for a breakdown of the cost of windows, gutters, and labor. He emailed it at 12 midnight. If you want to use Hansons, I recommend asking for Tyler. After looking everything over, I found they are higher than average for gutters but lower than average for triple pane windows. My windows have been installed now, it only took a month for them to make and schedule install. They had an opening the day after they called and said they were ready. The installer was great. Over 30 years experience and it showed. It took him about 3 hours to remove and install 8 windows, including removing old aluminum trim on outside and putting new trim up. Windows look great. They cleaned up fairly well, they did break a sprinkler, I have 2 in the bushes on risers, I pointed them out ahead of time and they broke one and didn't even tell me. Also forgot to caulk part of a window. Overall I am happy with the work. The sales guy texted me in the morning of the install and a lady from the office called that evening to see how it went. They said they would send me a Visa gift card so I could replace the riser. It's been almost 2 weeks and no card. The windows were dirty, finger prints, smudges, suction cup marks from the factory, possibly caulking. Just cleaned one and it didn't come clean. Last 3 pics show the dirty windows. The gutter installation went better. It was postponed due to weather. They were supposed to come on a Tuesday, but a thunderstorm postponed it. Hansons rescheduled it for Friday, however the installers showed up with no warning on Wednesday after 4pm. Got it all done in 2 hours, and did a good job cleaning up. The installers were four young men, maybe in mid twenties. Hansons pushes you to write a review even before you have the job done. I have edited my review 5 times now. Update, it's been 4 months now, I don't like the financial company they use, Green Sky. They give you no info on how to send a check or where to or your account number. Just give them your account number and routing number. I tried calling 1800hansons to ask them about this company, but nobody answered. I was on hold for 5 min when I hung up. Based on the fact they push you to sign with them and they are not the best priced, and you try calling and they don't answer I would recommend going with someone else.

If I could give zero stars I would. This is the absolute worst company to work with. We signed an agreement to have our house sided in July 2023. They didn’t start work on it until November, and we have had NOTHING but trouble ever since. The first crew was so bad that they were fired while on our job. So our house was only half down (and extremely poorly). They sent crew after crew to fix the issues. We had pieces of siding coming off the house when it was windy. It is now April 2024 and while I am not happy with the final job, it is done. The gutters and eaves troughs are done. I’m sure we will be arguing over the final bill because I’m sure they think they deserve the full amount, but I will not be paying that much. The absolute worst!
