Please be aware that this company is highly untrustworthy and scamming people. Just see the numerous other reviews. Their friendly salesperson comes to your home and promises lots of great things. If you hesitate on the deal, their “manager/owner” will talk to you with more incentives and promises.
Once you sign the contract and pay money, you will not get what was promised. Your numerous attempts at calling and leaving messages for information, or a simple callback will go unanswered. Good luck to you then. We have filed a lawsuit against them. We are reporting them to every public/state agency to stop them making more victims. Don’t become another victim.

I’m writing this review to warn both potential customers and larger contractors who might be considering doing business with My Smart House. My experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare.
The owner, Carl, presents himself as someone who cares, even giving out his personal phone number. In reality, it’s nothing more than a facade — the number goes straight to voicemail every time, and he never returns calls. After multiple visits to their office (four times, to be exact), All communication gets deflected to Matthew, who claims to be a manager. Every promise Matthew made to “take care of the issue immediately” turned out to be empty words.
The system they installed at my home was not installed properly, yet I continue to be billed monthly. I made it clear that as a paying customer, my issue should be a priority. Instead of action, I received repeated delays, excuses, and false assurances.
Their so-called installation coordinator, Jessica, scheduled a service visit for a Friday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. No one showed up. No one called. When I finally reached out, she casually told me the contractor “went home sick” and that I’d need to reschedule — with zero proactive communication from their side. I gave them another chance and rescheduled for the following Monday. The result? Same story: no one arrived, no calls, and their phones just rang endlessly.
This is not just poor service — this is a pattern of dishonesty and neglect. It’s clear to me that this company is not structured to serve customers, but rather to sign contracts, take money, and disappear once problems arise.
If you are a homeowner, do not trust this company with something as important as your solar installation. If you are a large contractor or partner, I strongly encourage you to reconsider working with them or at least follow up with their customers directly, because their internal accountability is nonexistent.
My Smart House operates like a low-quality, disorganized, and deceptive outfit, and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

I agreed to a contract with their Sales Rep, Denielle on July 23rd. I had 12 solar panels and 2 batteries installed on August 16th. I received my PTO (permission to operate) from Edison on September 4th. The installation crew did a great job and the whole process was great. Their cost was very competitive, and I would highly recommend them.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
I contracted with My Smart House in March to have solar installed on my home. At the time, I was told the process would take about five weeks, barring any permitting delays. It is now six months later, and I still do not have solar installed.
Throughout this time, communication from the company has been extremely poor. I have rarely been able to reach anyone by phone, and no one ever voluntarily provides any update. My Smart House has repeatedly told me that they are waiting on an EG4 battery, but since March I have been told “1–2 weeks” on an almost weekly basis. Despite my regular outreach, no progress has been made.
I’ve already paid $20,000 for this system, yet the company has not fulfilled their contractual obligation nor made a genuine effort to resolve the situation.
My main point of contact has changed multiple times and I have been told that the company "runs lean" - obviously at the expense of any kind of decent customer service. After hearing excuse after excuse, I visited their location to determine if a legitimate company even exists. An employee named Matthew Perry assured me in person that he would contact me the following Monday after getting more information on the battery delivery date, but I have never received a call back and that was 3 months ago. I’ve tried calling him numerous times and his voicemail remains full.
Initially, I chose My Smart House because they offered competitive pricing, appeared to have decent reviews, and presented themselves as a veteran-owned, locally run business. While I can understand some organizational challenges, I cannot accept being repeatedly misled, ignored, and left without the promised installation. Furthermore, delays have put my eligibility for solar credits at risk.
This has been the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever had.

Smart House Solar is a scam, a joke, nonsense! It’s been 3 months since I signed and nothing. I reached out to 7 different employees to find out when the techs will be here for the install. No one will answer their phone. I’ve left voice messages and texts numerous times. Only twice have they called back ONLY to say they’ll call back with more details on the situation. Excuse after excuse! All nonsense stories of why the techs can’t show up. This is unprofessional for a company to be run like this. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY! They will NOT follow through on their word after you sign the contract. THIS COMPNAY IS A JOKE!!!

Tim came by our house in March and convinced us to add more solar to our house as our bill was exceeding our current solar production still. They installed the additional system within 2 weeks. Our current Enphase system was taken offline, and they said we just needed to city / county to come out to inspect. Two months later no one had come by, they finally send a guy out to do one minor thing and he finds that the install was never completed. So he and another guy fix that, and they send a final inspector from their company the next week. The inspector said it wasn't ready and they'd send more people out to complete the work. We're now 3 weeks out from THAT, and they just told us another final inspector was coming again in spite of no other technicians having come out to fix whatever the previous inspector said was wrong with the system. They don't respond to phone calls or emails, and someone different calls us every other week saying they'll give us weekly updates, but of course we never get them. I wish we'd gone with a different company because now we have a bunch of panels on our roof that aren't connected and we can't use them yet...but we're paying for the panels that don't work while not seeing a break in our electrical bill. Go somewhere else for solar. This company is ridiculous. The value just isn't there.

The unprofessionalism in this company is unbelievable. The first time I set up an appointment, they were a no call no show, then I gave them the opportunity to come again a 2nd time, again no call no show. 3rd time around, a rep kept blowing up my phone to make an appointment. I told him I need to look at my schedule and he proceeded to send someone to my house without and appointment and my daughter recently had surgery and they are disturbing our household. Dont send people to someone house without confirmation. That's extremely rude and unprofessional. At this point I feel like we are being harassed. Enough is enough

WARNING! Be careful before you sign up. They don’t install new panels. They are all 5 years old. Though they provide warranty, they don’t get back on time. It’s been a month since half my panels are not working and no one came to check yet. I was promised a check 1 month ago but never received upon multiple follow ups. Do check BBB complaints before signing up. I am surprised there is no class action filed against this company yet. Try and stay away!!!!!

Do not go with MY SMART HOUSE. I did and it cost me a new roof 9 years later. Also the production they told me my panels would produce was 7200 watts per month, my panels only produced 5800 watts at best. I brought it to the owners attention back in 2016 and was ghosted. Fast forward to 2025, their install was terrible. The flashing they installed around the railing mounts for the solar panels started leaking and destroyed my roof. They removed my roofing tiles and didn’t even nail them back down when they installed them. This caused the panels to side out under the solar panels and water intrusion caused leaks into my house. Cost me $22k to replace my roof on a house that was build in 2009. The owner Carl Vizzi is a con artist, prays on Veterans because he is a Veteran. Don’t let him or his crews touch your roofs. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

At the beginning they are all friendly and easy to communicate with but as soon as you sign they disappear. They installed my solar panels and were supposed to come back to finish the job. That was 27 days ago. They don’t answer my calls or emails and I’m stuck with solars on my roof that don’t work cus they didn’t do the wiring. Find a different company these people are scammers.
