Empire solar was great! From roofing to installing the solar panels, they were highly efficient with timing and quality of the work. While doing the roof, they also gave us a huge courtesy and installed an attic fan and fixed our gutters without any additional charge. Impressively, They left no trace that construction work was done on the house We are very grateful for the quick and easy process to get a new roof and install our solar panels with Empire Solar. Thank you!

My solar system stopped working after many years of great production, so I called Empire Solar who originally installed. I couldn’t be more satisfied with how quickly they responded to diagnose the issue. Keith and the Empire team went above and beyond by not only identifying the problem but also re-running all new wires through the solar trench to make sure everything was done right. A big thanks as well to Mark for not only stepping up and getting my system back up and running quickly but covering the new wires under warranty! Truly excellent service—I highly recommend Empire Solar!

I regret hiring Empire Solar Solutions. We have been paying full electric bills for a year while the solar system sits unused because it was never connected to the grid. The process is frustrating, and we are left on our own to fix it. If you're considering them, ask a lot of questions and get everything in writing. Thank you for taking the time to read my experience — I hope it helps someone make a more informed decision. The photo below showing all the dirt around the panels is how Empire Solar Solutions left the job. The finished photo is after I spent additional funds to complete the project with a new contractor and bring the site up to code. But we still have no solar.

We had a very disappointing and costly experience with Empire in New York. When we signed our solar contract, we were told — multiple times and in writing — that the loan could be assumed by a future buyer if we sold our home. This was a major selling point for us.
When we sold our house, our buyer followed all the proper steps and applied to assume the loan. However, the lender unexpectedly paused all loan assumptions, and we were forced to pay off the entire $40,000 balance in order to close. This possibility was never disclosed to us. We reached out to the company multiple times — via email— and they were unwilling to help us.
This wasn’t the only issue. Our electric savings were far below what was promised, we had terrible customer service with many unanswered calls, and we discovered our permits were never closed out, which created more complications during the sale.
We moved forward with this company in good faith and trusted their assurances. Instead, we were left with broken promises, financial loss, and zero accountability.
If you’re considering going solar, get everything in writing, verify loan policies directly with the lender, and make sure all local permits are properly closed. I would not recommend Empire Solar based on our experience.

From start to finish, their team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and genuine care for their customers. A special shoutout to Tanner, our salesperson, who was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, guiding us through the entire process with clarity and enthusiasm. He made sure we understood all our options and tailored the perfect solar solution for our home. Equally impressive was Tal, the installation manager, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. I have had solar panels with Empire Solar for 5 years and they have always been extremely responsive and helpful with any interaction. I recently am in the process of getting a new roof with my solar panels removed/replaced and Tal and his team have been super supportive, knowledgeable and quick to come out for any issues! They have been reasonably priced and a wonderful company to deal with with any needs regarding roof repair and solar energy!

I had an amazing experience with Empire Solar! From the very beginning, Nore, the sales rep, was incredibly informative and patient. He took the time to explain the entire process from start to finish and made sure I understood all my financing options. I really appreciated that he didn’t try to push a lease on me like other companies often do. The pricing was extremely competitive – in fact, Empire was $30k cheaper than Trinity Solar, even with their great financing plans.
Throughout the project, I was kept up to date at every step, which was such a relief. Shannon, who was handling the paperwork and inspections, was outstanding. She made sure everything was done on time and was always available to answer any questions I had.
The installation team was also top-notch! They were professional, efficient, and left everything clean and tidy. Additionally, they upgraded my home’s electrical panel from 100 to 200 amps, and the job was done very neatly. I felt totally comfortable having the electrician in my home, which was really important to me.
Overall, I’m extremely happy with my decision to go with Empire Solar. They made the process smooth, affordable, and hassle-free. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar!

Our experience with Empire has been nothing short of outstanding! When we first starting looking, we found Empire to have the best options for us and they included trenching a power line to our detached garage which had been without power for years. They were diligent about the plan and very transparent about everything (thanks Nore!)
When it came to installation, we had a fantastic crew do the work, true professionals. Shout out to Mike Calo and his crew for digging the trench and Paul the electrician from Empire who laid the line. They went above and beyond to get the work done right, and made sure we were properly taken care of. Everything from the hardware to the fixtures to the cables was top notch and expertly installed. The only downside was that the township and Central Hudson took thier time clearing our inspection and permits, but once we got permission to operate, it was nothing but smooth sailing. We're super happy with the experience and our panels have been working great! Highly recommend!
