About
Five Star Bath Inc
In 1996, in Ontario, Canada, we set out to provide affordable bath and shower solutions to one community. We quickly discovered there was a widely unmet need for what we provided.
After many successful years, we wanted to see if our model was replicable. The answer was an astounding yes, and in the decade since, we’ve expanded across the US and Canada to provide new communities the same quality and level of service we’ve delivered since day one.
We never forgot where we started, it’s what guides our actions across the continent.

The Five Star sales advisor was extremely professional, knowledgeable and thorough as he explained the different types of shower installs that they offered. He very patiently listened to us as we discussed our budget and the costs associated with each option. He gave us very good advice, and we look forward to proceeding with our project.

Marty came to my home at the appointed time and was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly! He told me the company history after he looked at and took pictures of the area I was wanting work done. Then he told me all about their products and the four options I had for my project’s cost estimate including their warranty and discounts! I was amazed at how quickly and proficiently Marty was able to design my job idea making it look gorgeous! I am very happy and impressed with Marty and Five Star!

We loved our experience with 5 Star! Jaki was our sales rep and she was super responsive and flexible. She listened to our unconventional requests to move a couple walls and create a new spot for our laundry room. She came to our house multiple times to make sure she understood our needs and connected us to the people who could make it happen. Canales was the contractor they used and we loved them! Their work was thorough and beautiful! Craig was the project manager in charge of the work being done and he kept us updated and took care of us through the ups and downs of the install process. There was a couple hiccups, as with any construction project, but they never settled. When a piece of the shower did not measure correctly, they pulled it out and ordered us brand new pieces. While this did make the project take longer than expected, I so appreciate their attention to detail and their willingness to correct an error that they found, even though it meant a lot more time and money for them. Overall we are elated with our new space, and even a year later I get giddy stepping into my beautiful bathroom.

I would never hire this company again, which I regret to say. They did my bathroom in March 2025. Complete remodel. It was so poorly done, they had to do it all over again. First time 4 days, second time 3.5 days. Marcus was the salesman that gave me an estimate. Camron and Hector were the first team to come out. They did very sloppy work. They rushed it. Ken, the project manager, even said it looked like a bad DIY project. Details and pics are below.
I called to complain, they offered me a 10% discount. And they did give me reimbursement for the 3.5 days of pto I had to use for the second round. They said anything more than 10% would void the warrenty of the work. Discount was really bad, especially for the stress. But I either had to take them to court and get my money back or lose out on money then hire a whole new company, or give them a second shot.
I went the path of least resistance. They contracted another company to do the work, Canales Construction who did a good job. If you see Camron or Hector, run for the hills. I also have video recording of Ken (project Manager) and Daniel (owner) admitting it was a poor job the first go around. Although Ken was very nice, he didn't really correct any issues the first time. I figure a project manager would manage the project and make it run smooth? What do I know. Here is a list off issues and photos to accompany them.
Labor issues:
- Lights are too low, standard is apparently 80 inches mine is 76
- lights are not centered with vanity
-vanity not aligned how I wanted, they didn't even ask they just put it in. Same with lights.
- Hooks are still in the ceiling from previous lights.
- Light switch isn't flush with the wall
- Door won't close right anymore
-door frame not flush with wall anymore
- Wall are uneven everywhere (many are curved)
- They didn't remove tile on the right of door, just covered it with a thick amount of mud (about 1 inch thicker than the rest of the wall). Very obvious
- Floor tiling isn't even, notable spaces between tiles
- Caulking is uneven in multiple areas, including shower
- I was told that there was an anti microbial spray but he said they just use bleach and that I didn't need it. I saw visible mold
- didn't remove the old flooring, was told they would and replace anything moldy or damaged underneath
- damage to baseboards near vanity
- Flooring not aligned/gaps with baseboard near toilet, near door
- the floors don't feel even when walking toward the window
- they removed the air vent that was in the bathroom and covered it completely with dry wall. No airflow and now it's freezing
- didn't remove all drywall, just mudded over old drywall so there is noticeable creases between that and new drywall
- outlet covers don't match
- tub creaks when you step in the center, sometimes it's even a loud pop noise (no cement usage)
- didn't install mirror
- didn't install towel rods
- didn't install medicine cabinet
- mudding is everywhere. On lights, windows and door. Dust covering everything, didn't clean effectively.
Professionalism:
- started late Wednesday instead of tuesday (took work off tuesday)
- Took a day longer than promised
- Felt like a rushed job. They complained to each other how much they've been working recently and that this job wasn't an easy one. They didn't want to fix the complaints I had and said they'll get back to it
- Was told the electrician didn't want to come up "this far north."
- it wasn't communicated that I had only lights that plug into the walls, causing delays
- electrician said "I don't even know what I'm doing here. They just told me to come up." Referring to what the project was and what he was suppose to do. His name was Tyrone
- was told by Ken that the guy who did the work really only does plumbing and wasn't qualified to do all the tasks he was assigned
- Ken said he wouldn't have the guy do his
- Ken said it looks like a 2k DIY amateur work
- the second group sent was told it was just a dry walling issue. Communication in this company is the worst I've ever seen!

My 91 year old mother needed a bathroom where she no longer had to step over and into a tub. Five Star responded promptly to our request to come out for a visit. Loy understood my mother's concerns about safety but also affordability. When in two weeks a project manager came out to verify all of our measurements and bathroom choices. Then within two weeks we began the bathroom remodel. Randy was prompt and timely and turned the bathroom around in three days. My mother did come back and ask that the water pressure restriction in the shower head be removed and wanted an additional hand rail. Within 24 hours of making that request, Five Star was back in her home with the modifications made. I would highly recommend Five Star for your bathroom remodel - honest, responsive, attention to detail, timely and affordable.

Daniel, Ken, Chase and Randy were the most amazing people to work with. They gave us more than we had hoped for. Chase did a great job helping us pick out everything we needed to do our 2 bathrooms. The communication was top notch and the work is beyond fantastic. Thanks for everything. We are looking forward to using our bathrooms for years to come. Definitely a 5 star company and they all loved our dog. We needed to do a quick shout out again to Randy. He is the most incredible installer. The attention to detail is above and beyond what you can realistically expect. The service Randy provided was unbelievable. Very helpful. He also took the time to consult with us and answered multiple questions. He was beyond great and we want to commend him again. We could not be happier.

We decided to update our master bath to promote the sale of our home. I did my research and called several people. Chase was my first contact and no other company was so willing to listen to our specific issues and discuss many options so that we felt pleased with the end result. I continued to be impressed with selections with Ken and the install was only 4 business days for a whole bath remodel! Randy and his team were prompt and courteous while working in our home. I am happy to say our house sold within a few days on the market. I can’t say enough good things about the experience with Five Star !

There’s a reason the company’s called Five Star bath solutions. We’re very happy with the product: modern design walk-in shower, custom sliding glass doors by Alluring Glass, no skid shower floor, large comfortable seat, stationary and handheld shower heads & safety bars. Install staff (Joe & Matt) always on time, professional, very courteous. They also had to bump out a wall in adjacent bedroom which worked perfectly. Highly recommend this team. And finished ahead of schedule.

Marcus with Five Star Bath was very helpful through the process of having our shower replaced. We had a horrible leak with mold in the walls and they were transparent throughout the whole process and met all of our expectations. I chose them because of their warranty and the quality and strength of their company. The pricing was in line with the other estimates I had received but the quality and professionalism were better than anyone else I spoke with. I would recommend Five Star to anyone who needs bath repairs.
