I had HomeSpec Waterproofing and Foundation Repair out to inspect my basement, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Chris, the inspection manager, was incredibly thorough in evaluating the situation and explaining my options. His recommendation made a lot of sense, and the price he quoted me was honestly a “wow” moment—especially considering that another company had offered me far less work for $2,000 more.

Chris brought along his associate, Josh, who was also very polite and professional. The appointment was supposed to take about 90 minutes, but they ended up staying much longer to walk me through the entire waterproofing process. They made sure I fully understood what needed to be done and why, which I really appreciated.

A project like this is a big investment, and it’s natural to feel a little anxious about making the right decision. But after meeting with Chris and Josh, I felt completely at ease about hiring HomeSpec. Their honesty, patience, and expertise gave me a lot of confidence in their work.

I was very happy with HomeSpec! First, I called 5 different companies when we had a constant stream of water coming into our basement through a concrete wall that we couldn't get to stop, no matter what we did to it. Every other company couldn't come out for 4-8 weeks, even for an inspection and quote. We were literally emptying gallons of water every couple hours and it was exhausting! HomeSpec was able to come out in just a few days for an inspection and quote. The quote was reasonable and they explained everything they would do to solve the problem. We had to schedule a couple months out for the work to actually get done, but they came right as scheduled and completed the entire job in two days (as they said they would). They were very thoughtful in putting up big plastic sheets to cover our belongings so nothing would get dusty, and did a great job cleaning up when they were done. Every aspect of this was very easy, professional, and they kept right on their estimates for time and cost. I highly recommend them!

The HomeSpec staff was always professional and prompt in their communication and during our meetings. From the sales process to the pre-installation and even at the milestones during the installation (e.g. removing concrete, initial install/leveling, inspections, external conduit to the city drain, and final concrete). As we installed the waterproofing around the entire large basement and created a completely new external conduit, I was extremely please at the service we received considering that this kind of project is not cheap. I feel that we got excellent value for the service we received. I would definitely recommend them to anyone friends or neighbors that need this service.
