The salesman, Tom K, was very knowledgeable of the technical & financial aspects of the project. He spent a lot of time to answer the many questions that I asked and returned to brief my wife. He was able to compare the ION Solar system with other competitors that I had interviewed. The installation team led by Matt C did a great job installing 39 panels in one day including a thorough clean-up. I did have an issue with the electrician who deviated from the agreed to cable run path without letting me know & as a result ran the conduit external to the house instead of most of it being internal - it distracts from the appearance of the house. The system is up and running better than I anticipated.

I like the product. The installation was great. The install process was pretty seamless.
The issue I had was with the financial support. I was told that I could use the lending process to to get the project started. I had the money to pay for the whole project. I was led to believe one thing and found at the end of the project that wasn’t the case. Bottom line, I paid the for the whole project but had to pay interest on something I wasn’t aware was gaining interest.
I didn’t even have an account or bill to know I had to pay. When I was asking for help from ion. Their customer service was terrible. They basically told me off and said too bad. I paid the interest. (Not a ton compared to the amount of the project) I just did not agree to it out of principle. I was do disappointed on how they handled it. From both sides. I wouldn’t recommend them because of this. I’m sure in the future if I have a problem with anything else I’m going to have the same trouble they are only interested in getting the sale. After that. Don’t expect them to be there for you, the customer.

Exceptional performance by ION Solar to design and develop the new solar system and electrical panel reconfiguration on my property. This was an engineering feat beyond my expectations as I realized when submitting the state’s Energy Conservation and Management Division’s application for approval for submission to the New Mexico Taxation and Revenue Department. With a new “net” meter with the power company, this is a worthy investment as well as minimal monthly utility bills. ION Solar is a United States company with excellent work ethic that delivers high quality and reliable solar energy for the entire country. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and supportive in every aspect with their expertise and willingness to help others with their needs. I am proud to provide the best support for their potential clients. Thank you for everything you’ve done to help me through this project which was fun and very enjoyable.
