Nevin came and presented Leaf Guard to me. He took his time and explained everything thoroughly. He was willing to discuss prices and get discounts for me as well. Here's hoping the next steps of installing go well.

In the spring of 2025, I started the hunt to look at a gutter replacement. The ones that I had on were starting to sag and disconnecting to the house. Water was coming out on both sides of those old gutters, so that's why it was time to look at another solution.

I had looked at both LeafGuard and Leaf Filter as options. Looking at reviews on things such as maintenance, selling tactics, and such, I decided to drop Leaf Filter from the list of options. A friend of my mom had LeafGuard gutters installed earlier in 2025 at the time, and they said they had a great experience with them.

After hearing about that, I contacted LeafGuard through their website. Although they are LeafGuard of Richmond, they also cover the Hampton Roads area as well since there isn't one located here yet. Later the same day I sent the message, I got a call back from them to set up an appointment for them to come out. This appointment was scheduled for July 12, 2025.

On July 12, 2025, Samuel Wynn came to the house to go over what LeafGuard had to offer, including the materials that I could touch and feel to get an idea of what it would be. He was very open and transparent about the costs and no clog warranty. The warranty is lifetime and is transferrable, and if there are any clog issues, they will come out and take care of that at no charge. We went outside to look at measurements and such to ensure the quote was correct in the end. He also pointed out a few issues with the roof, including some holes in the shingles. I will note that after getting that info, I looked into getting a roof inspection, and that was completed by Revamp Exteriors (local company), and they confirmed the same issues Samuel told me about, leading to a roof replacement in the end too.

After going through the presentation and looking at what was needed, I decided to go ahead with this project, but I also asked about discounts that could bring this cost down. I was able to get down by about 10%, so that helped for sure. I went through the financing they offered, which is through Greensky. One big positive was that there wasn't any high-pressure sales tactics used, that so many other contractors tend to do. The project was scheduled for July 23, 2025, though I did push the date back by a week as I ended up needing a roof replacement completed.

The day before the install, a truck came out and dropped off the gutters and such on the yard for the install the following day. The following morning, the installers came out to take off the old gutters and get the new, wider ones on. This process took a few hours, so it wasn't too long for all intents and purposes. About a month or so later, we had an extremely heavy rainstorm causing the water to flow off. I notified LeafGuard and they sent someone out to get a deflector put up to so that it wouldn't do that any longer. I haven't had any issues with that since.

Overall, this was an excellent experience from LeafGuard. I waited a while to get this review together as I wanted to see how it would hold out through a few seasons. I haven't had any issues at this point. This is after we've had snow and ice this winter. The gutters held out very well. As of the time of this review, everything is still attached as it should be with no sagging and such. All in all, if you are looking for gutter solutions for your home, be sure to check them out.

I saw an advertisement about leaf guard on social media and was looking for a solution to my home drainage/gutter problems to protect my foundation. Jonathan Douglass was all that an expert could be: technically right, a great worker, and a pleasant salesman. He arrived on the dot and gave us his all to assess our need for a new gutter system and showed us through a brilliant presentation why Leafguard is the best product on the market. His sincere help in getting us the best payment terms was also crucial in our purchase agreement. I don’t foresee any issues with the system in the future, but if I do it will be a pleasure to call him for I know everything will be remedied as quickly as possible.

Matthew was phenomenal, he came and showed me my house and the issues I had with my gutters and how Leafguard can prevent more damages and also stop the water from getting inside my foundation and roof. It’s pricey but well worth it. Once job is complete I will be putting on my mothers home

My Leafguard pro Jonathan Douglass was amazing. He was professional, on time, and very respectful of my property. Jonathan also thoroughly explained everything about the product and what I could expect on the day of install. His professionalism extended throughout his ability to be relatable and respectful to me as a person. His quote was also reasonable and was tremendously lower than the Leaf Filter pro who came out the day before. Overall it was good experience.

They have an excellent product, backed up by science and research. Jonathan Douglas our sales rep was extremely detailed and did everything in his power to help us understand the product and getting it within our budget. The only thing he didn't tell me was that they would make the gutters on-site, which was awesome!

I've talked to so many people with Leafguard, and they praise their LG system. I've heard people that have had it 10 or 15 years and going strong!! What a great product and company, it's the true permanent maintenance free gutter solution.
