Lifetime Home Remodeling

I recently had 9 windows installed by Lifetime, after being referred to them through Costco. While the Infinity window products themselves are excellent, the installation quality provided by Lifetime leaves much to be desired.

During the installation, they built new wood frames for most of the windows. While some of these frames look well-finished and fit closely against both the window and the wall, others were poorly done. In several places, there are noticeable gaps between the new frames and the wall—some wide enough to easily insert multiple coins. Even more concerning, one window has a significant gap between the frame and the window itself.

When I brought these issues to the attention of the project manager and store manager, the response was disappointing. Instead of offering to fix what is clearly substandard workmanship, the managers attempted to charge me extra to apply caulk to cover the gaps they left during installation. This is unacceptable, especially given the premium price of the service (~20K) and the expectations set by a Costco referral.

As a customer, I do not expect to argue over basic quality issues. I simply expect the work to be done correctly and for the company to stand behind their installation. The handling of my concerns showed a lack of accountability and poor customer service.

It has been several days since the installation, and I have not signed off on the completion form, as I do not consider this job finished. This is now delaying our planned wood stain and motorized shade installation. In the meantime, we’ve had to temporarily nail up bed cloths over the windows to block the sun, which is both inconvenient and frustrating—not the experience we expected from a brand-new window install. I hope Lifetime takes this feedback seriously and improves both their installation practices and post-sale support.

We hired Lifetime Home Remodeling to replace our siding and are very pleased with the final product. From Dee the salesperson, to Allen the project manager and the crew of BBB. They were on time, cleaned up every day and our new siding looks great! We would use Lifetime again for another home project.

They arrived on time, prepped and cleaned up as expected. Overall I was pleased with the outcome of my kitchen cabinet makeover.

Fantastic company! I had three windows and a patio sliding glass door replaced. From Sales Rep Paul to Installers Tim and Daniel, I found the process and information and work to be exceptional! To me, the Marvin products are the best! I highly recommend Lifetime and will continue to use them to replace the rest of my windows around my house.

The sales representative, Joe, was 'no pressure' yet was very informative and provided the education we needed to make an informed decision.

Lifetime's installers assigned to us, "BBB", were amazing and left a clean worksite each night. They worked diligently each day even through some terrible weather conditions. Their workmanship was impeccable and the City inspector even noted that the flashing and caulk work were among the best he had ever encountered.

The project manager, Allen, checked the installers work on-site most days and maintained a frequent and open communication dialog to keep us informed.

We were extremely satisfied with the entire experience and are delighted with the final product. THANK YOU LIFETIME!

The entire experience has been strange. When they installed our 2 doors, they didn’t tell us they would be removing our trim and replacing it with ones that do not match. They also didn’t fill the inch gap for the baseboards so that it didn’t look good. There are too many nail holes in the trim they put up and all in all didn’t do a good job framing the new $10,000 doors. I needed to get a replacement for the doggie door as the magnetic pieces are missing. It took a week to get someone out when I already offered to just take pictures since it’s a simple piece. 2 weeks after the tech came out for 3 minutes, they finally ordered the parts with a 4-6 week lead time. I wish we would have went in another direction as these are not worth the money and time spent.

I'll start by saying this review is of Lifetime, the company that sells and installs windows, not Marvin, the window manufacturer. The Marvin windows seem to be good. But replacement windows are only as good as the install, meaning the insulation and flashing around the window frame. This was the most stressful day! The crew came as scheduled and instantly got to work ripping out my old windows. One of the 5 crew spoke English and that was the one person I could speak with. They worked very fast and all day but I had to keep on top of them because they kept missing details along the way, like smears of caulk and other messy finish details. Interior looks great, BUT the worst is the exterior. I definitely did not want to add window trim to the outside of the house after replacement windows, but the flashing on the outside of the house is so poorly done there is a 1/4" gap between the window and the siding. The install supervisor showed up for 15 min and I pressed him for an answer to the issue but he just said that is how they do it. The metal flashing material Lifetime uses is too narrow to fill the space as proper flashing should be done, so they fill that extra gap with a thin line of caulk. Strangely, the siding was the correct size but they trimmed off at least 1/2". I will keep an eye on it but am considering adding window trim to cover that gap, for a lot more money. Bottom line, Marvin window, good, Lifetime, not so.

Second time I use their service. Highly recommended !!

We are very pleased to have chosen Lifetime Windows. Everyone that we worked with from Lifetime made the experience satisfying, from our salesman Shaun to our installers Alberto and his team to the project lead, Justin Freeman. The installers worked tirelessly from morning to night in cold weather to do a great job of installing our windows. Justin, the project lead was with us from the beginning of the install to answer any questions, to go room to room to check on the install and to fix anything that needed tending to. He facilitated our install and made sure that if there were minor glitches that they were resolved right away. He even went out of his way to clean our windows that had glue on them from the factory. Justin was kind, professional and very easy to work with and kept everything on track. He is an asset to the Lifetime team.
