Momentum Solar is hands down the worst company I have ever dealt with. Their careless installation destroyed my roof, which caused leaks and mold inside my home. What should have been a simple project turned into a nightmare that has cost me time, money, and peace of mind.
For months, I’ve been calling and emailing, and all I’ve gotten is excuses, delays, and complete disregard for the damage they caused. Their customer service is a joke — no urgency, no responsibility, and no respect for their customers. They simply do not care.
I’m now having to involve lawyers because Momentum Solar refuses to step up and fix what they broke. Their negligence and lack of accountability are beyond unacceptable.
Choosing Momentum Solar was one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made. If you value your home, your money, and your sanity, stay as far away from this company as possible. They are unprofessional, unreliable, and downright dishonest.

They do say there is a warranty -but when it comes to contacting them for any issue which may come up after installation - no one is willing to talk with you. They have been paid -that is all that matters to them. You have to keep paying for your solar load - as well as the electric gris company until the issue is resolved - and there is no ETA when this will be done -since after sales service e is a non-revenue generating.
I wish they would live up to their commitments.
This is like a lottery - hoping that after the installation - you hope nothing goes wrong for 25 years.

I started with Momentum Solar, back in February 2025. I was told the Solar Panels, would be up and running, before Summer! Now we're in August, No trees are cut, and cannot agree to how many trees need to be cut down and No Solar Panels ! I tried to cancel my Contract...But they would Not let me! Please be aware when I first had my solar panels everything was great even though it took a very long time. I had a second set of panels added to my roof since my electric bills were still very high. When you finance the panels, an outside business is selected to handle your loan. My first loan company is Dividend, and they have been great! My second loan is with Sunlight, and they are horrible to work with. I have been trying to refinance my home, and I have missed 2 closing dates because of Sunlight not getting the paperwork to my attorney to subordinate the loan. June 30th and now July 30th! When you call Sunlight, you get the same message that the processing dept that handles the subordination do not have phones and you cannot talk to anyone. The only thing they can do is send an email which has been done at least 5 times. My attorney is beside himself he said he has never had so much trouble with a solar loan! I'm so disgusted right now it is beyond words. Shame on you for choosing such a poor company to your customers!

Momentum Solar pressured my wife and me to sign a contract with a 7-day cancellation window—but here’s the catch:
🔹 The 7-day period starts from your initial visit, not after the assessment.
🔹 They don’t clearly disclose this unless you ask.
🔹 If your roof assessment is scheduled after the 7-day period, you’re out of luck—because the contract still stands.
This deceptive approach traps customers before they even get a full understanding of what they’re committing to. Avoid this company at all costs.

Absolutely horrible experience. Took me more than 5 months from my initial contract signing to getting the solar panel up and running. Numerous delays, lack of transparency and accountability from their project management team. Had to take matters into in my own hands regarding getting the work permit. For almost 3 months, I received emails stating the solar work permits are still pending, I called and sought if they had any expeditors, clearly they didn't know what an expeditor does, completely clueless. I decided to call the city and explain to them the situation and received the permits within 2-3 days after. Secondly, after the install of the panels, no one from their team decided to follow up on closing out the permit, once again, I called the city, scheduled an inspection for the panels myself and then sent momentum the certificate of approval from the city for the utility company to utilize the net meter. From upper management down, extremely disappointed after hearing a lot of good things but that clearly wasn't the case. Not to mention, I decided to upgrade my electrical panel and they stated the electrical techs and solar techs would arrive and install everything on the same day, of course that morning of the electrical techs cancelled and we had to reschedule for a date 3 weeks later, hence causing more delays. Although the only positive was that the solar tech and electrical techs were extremely professional and knowledgeable during the install process. Overall, I would definitely not recommend them, I would advise to do very extensive research before choosing a solar panel provider.

Wow, From start to finish this company has been very good to me . It started with our salesperson (Rob Dunphey ), he was a professional, knowledgeable, and He had such personality. Each step in the process went smoothly. We just had our install and are ready to get up and running. The roof was done and panels installed. We are ready to start collecting energy. Momentum Solar you did very good work ,may your company go higher . Thank you for being a reputable solar company ☺☺

Attempted to schedule an appt with Momentum but was refused because my husband was not available for the appt. This is 2024!!! Requiring my husband to be present for an informational meeting is not only sexist but insulting to my intelligence. If this was the initial encounter I can only imagine how difficult the rest of the process would be with this company having to deal with a woman asking questions and requiring answers. Pass on principle alone!

We give them zero stars. Rep showed up at our door, after about 30 minutes we agreed to an appointment the following day at 11:00am. My wife and I waited and waited for over an hour. No one showed up, no call nothing. We called them and they told us the appointment was canceled because of an existing discount. Very rude, no wonder they are not certified.
