I have been working with Palmetto Tile of NC for years and Dana and Stephanie's attention to detail, guidance in the showroom and overall EXCELLENT customer service is unparalleled! There are many tile showrooms in Charlotte to pick from but in my opinion-- Palmetto Tile offers the widest range of patterns, color and price range options that I have ever seen. THEY ARE THE BEST!

BUYERS BEWARE
We are a full-service interior design /renovation firm that has been in business for 19 years. We purchased tile from the palmetto tile showroom for the first time. The salesperson was very helpful. The showroom is interesting and has many offerings.
Our installers picked up the tile and delivered it to the job site. We did demolition, framing, electric rough, plumbing rough, and then tile installation was scheduled to begin.
When the tile boxes were opened there were 18 broken tile pieces. We contacted palmetto and they advised that they were not liable due to a 2 week time lapse. They suggested that the installers broke the tile on site instead of the more likely scenario of it being broken in transit from the vendor to their warehouse. They advised that we had to pay 100% for the broken tiles and eventually negotiated a 50% price reduction for replacement tiles after much back and forth.
This is a highly unusual lack of customer service. There is an implied warranty when buying tile or any item that it should be in perfect condition. The tile company should be insured to cover these mishaps. One can only imagine purchasing anything and finding it is broken, torn, spoiled, or ill-fitting upon opening and being told you cannot return it but they will sell you more for 50 % off. There are other tile stores that offer a very similar selection and have excellent customer service, I would recommend Crossville tile and stone as one.
I hope that sharing my experience will prevent someone else from incurring the same extra expense, project delay and stress that this transaction with Palmetto caused.

I just visited the showroom today, sort of as a last ditch effort on my part. I've been to so many tile places in the past few days and have been getting discouraged with options and the lack of assistance from designers.
Dana turned that all around. Out of every showroom designer I've spoken to, Dana was the only one to ask questions and look at my pictures to actually get a feel for my space and my future plans. She was able to tie all of that in and select an absolutely stunning tile mosaic for my backsplash in the kitchen, including a trim and grout to go with it. I can't even begin to describe how happy I am with the help she provided, as well as the amazing options that I saw around the showroom.
Easily a five star rating, and even higher if I could!
