We are few years out from installation. Overall, the production is great. We run a few months without paying an electric bill. We have recommended to work colleagues. There were some rough patches during installation, but the company did its best to make it right if they could.

We are so thrilled with our new roof and solar panel installation from ReNu Solar & Roofing. The sales and customer service staff were great to work with, and the installers were top notch.

I had a good experience with the local salesman and installation crew. Can't say the same about the corporate office. Due to availability I agreed to an older model and a promotional pricing rebate. They estimated that I was at 103% of my needs with the lower output. Not only do I run about 85% power generation, I never received the refund despite several calls and emails over the course of 18 months. . It was always scheduled or approved but never paid. Eventually they stopped responding. Now half of my array hasn't reported for 8 months which makes all the reports useless. I still like the idea of solar, but these people oversell and under deliver.

Received an unsolicited phone call from a representative of this company. I’ve never interacted with the company or an affiliate. They were attempting to sell solar products to me. I am on the do not call registry to avoid unwanted solicitation calls like this. The company does not appear to consider people’s privacy. This was a bad interaction.

Avoid Renu Solar & Roofing.

If you’re considering solar, I would look elsewhere before signing up with Renu Solar.

Poor communication. I signed up for solar to make my life easier and more affordable...and for over 3 months I have been fighting with this company to "make me whole again". The team left my storm door broken and due to rain it has flooded my once dry basement . I will say Renu Solar was responsive while selling the system, but that quickly stopped once they had my signature and loan documents signed.

I would concur with other reviews that Renu Solar overpromises and underdelivers. Between the poor customer service, unmet expectations, and unexpected costs, this has been a frustrating and expensive experience. Please don’t make the same mistake I did.

They were fast and efficient. They had great communication with each step. Even when there was a delay with one needed piece they kept me abreast with the process. Will always recommend

Avoid Renu Solar – Misleading Promises and Poor Follow-Through

If you’re considering solar, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere before signing with Renu Solar.

When we signed up, they promised substantial energy savings. We’ve had our panels for over a year now, and the actual performance is nowhere near what they projected. Instead of cutting our electric bill, we’re essentially paying for two—our regular utility bill and the solar financing—with no real return on the investment.

They also said two trees on our property would be removed to improve sunlight exposure. Later, they changed course and told us we’d have to cover the difference in cost between their preferred (and overpriced) vendor and any other option we found. Their vendor quoted nearly double what we could get elsewhere, which felt like a bait-and-switch.

Even worse: their communication is appalling. Once the system is installed, good luck getting a response. It’s taken repeated calls, emails, and texts to get any attention. They were responsive while selling the system, but that quickly evaporated once they had our signature.

Bottom line: Renu Solar overpromises and underdelivers. Between the poor customer service, unmet expectations, and unexpected costs, this has been a frustrating and expensive experience. Please don’t make the same mistake.

I can't say enough good things about Renu Solar! Jacob Moore was phenomenal in sales and engineering, patiently walking my wife and me through how solar works, making everything clear and approachable. George and his crew handled the 40-panel solar and electrical installation in just one day--an incredible feat! The job site was spotless, and their professionalism shone through in every detail. My startup solar specialist, Xavier Care, also played a key role in making this a seamless process. Renu Solar's team delivered top-notch work, and I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking to go solar!

Just had my roof done by Renu Solar & roofing and I am extremely pleased with the quality of the crew and the materials. They were professional from start to finish. Finished the roof in one day and cleaned up all the old shingles and debris left my house looking beautiful. I would definitely recommend this company if you're looking for a new roof and or solar panels.
