My panels are officially ON and I am HAPPY. I shopped through many companies and Rhody at Astrawatt stood out the most. He helped me understand the other bids I got and even found many errors in them. Besides being the most knowledgeable, his pricing was very fair. Megan- the project manager is a great communicator and the installation process was smooth and fast. There are many roofing companies dabbling in the solar business and I found that their prices were the absolute highest and they knew the least about the equipment they were selling. They also didn't seem to have a very good plan for service/maintenance on the panels or it was done through a 3rd party. I really like that astrawatt is local and services their own work with a 25 year warranty. With the new forced Evergy plans it finally made perfect sense for me to make the switch. I am paying less for my panels every month than what evergy wants to charge me for a flat rate and my offset from the panels so far even in the winter has been very impressive. I cannot wait for summer to see what these babies can really do! Thank you Rhody and the astrawatt team!!!

Tyler and his team performed an installation at my house. The overall quality was the best I have ever received from a service company performing work at my home. Despite some unexpected obstacles they were still able to get the installation completed. When the local city inspector came by to review the work, he commented that this was some of the best workmanship he has seen. Tyler was very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we had during the process. I would highly recommend Astrawatt to anyone looking for services they provide, you will not be disappointed!

My solar adventure started with requesting quotes from many companies in the area. Rhody Harris got back to me faster than any of the other companies, wasn't pushy, respected that I had done my research, and spent our time filling in the gaps in my knowledge about SOLAR instead of their COMPANY. He was trying to sell me on solar, even if I didn't end up going with them. You can tell he truly loves solar.
Astrawatt was super cost competitive, despite using the best technologies solar has to offer! The IQ8M microinverters and REC panels are top of the line. Many competitors tried to sell me on cheaper inverters and panels for the same price.
It also helped that they had the best loan options with no absurd fees. The loan I opted for was through Credit Human, which has simple and reasonable interest rates, comparable to personal loans. They also didn't try to sell me on using MACRS on a residential system in order to stay cost competitive.
After I was approved for the loan I was connected with Megan Hail, a project manager. She had wonderful communication and kept me in the loop the entire time.
A project coordinator, Desmond Poirier, came out to my house and took measurements of the roof with a drone and crawled up into my attic. I was able to supply him with engineering plans of the roof that I requested from my builder.
Megan continued to keep me updated as the engineering plans were approved by all of the required entities, and scheduled my install.
The Chris Roach and the other installers showed up before the materials and began checking things out. Once the materials arrived they cut a 3 day job into 2. They cleaned up after themselves and when they left you wouldn't have even known they were there!

My job was a small install from Astrawatt, from day one I was treated like my job was important. Reid asked me what I was wanting from a solar system and planned out a system for me To Megan who helped with financing and scheduling my project. Finally Chris and the installation crew came in and installed the system in six hours. Chris saved me money on a service panel. Once every was done Chris showed me how to work the app for the system and how to maintain the panels. Start to finish a first rate company.

The entire solar contract and install experience was great! Working with Matt on the sales team, he went above and beyond to support any issues I had and working with us to find the best financing option for my wife and I. He also explained the hardware and equipment that was going to be used and provided brochures for everything! He wasn't push, was very fun to talk to, not a pressuring sales person, and had some great "dad jokes". Their formal proposal had milestones with dates and activities that were clear and helped us understand all of the milestones of the project.
Megan on the project management team always kept us up to date on changes to the permitting, the status of project milestones, and city approvals of the project.
Jamie did a great job of letting us know the who, what, when, where of the install. He was present the first day of the install and attended the post install inspection with the local city official.
The install team did a great job! The panels are square to the roof, they were all polite, easy to work with, and very helpful when answering questions. They did a pretty good job of picking up any pieces of wire or scrap, they all wore their appropriate PPE, and they were extremely fast! The install was initially quoted at 2 days and they were a little quicker than that.
Again, I highly recommend Astrawatt for any solar installs! The people, the service, and the equipment are all top of the line!

Highly recommend Astrawatt for solar panel installation in the Kanas City area.
Prior to starting the process, I read many on line horror stories with other national installers about pushy sales process, delays in installation, incorrect paperwork submission, and project managers ghosting customers. My experience with Astrawatt was the farthest from those experiences and was outstanding. As they only recommend the best equipment brands and models, may not be as cheap as some other companies but receive a superior product since this is a 25 year investment.
I received proposals from several other local installation companies as well. I had a focus on a local company that had a positive BBB rating, did the sales, project management, installation and service with no sub-contractors while having been in business for an extended period. Astrawatt fit those requirements, and their education first approach in the initial consultation showed their customer focus. At no time did my sales consultant Reid use any high pressure sales tactics, ensuring all my questions were answered and I was comfortable with my selection even, if I did not select them.
Once contract was signed, Megan the assigned project manager was very responsive, providing routine updates on the process and quickly answering all my many questions. All applications to the city and Evergy occurred in a timely and complete fashion, resulting in the installation being scheduled and performed slightly ahead of schedule.
The installation crew was very professional, completing the installation in 2 days as scheduled. Post installation inspection approval process was slightly delayed due to an overly picky city inspector (required updated engineering plans and resubmission for 1 panel that was re-oriented during install due to an obstruction). Astrawatt quickly updated the plans and resubmitted to the city which were approved and final inspection passed as quickly as the city's process allowed.
I hope not to move ever again, but if I did I would use Astrawatt again on my next solar install.

I highly recommend Astrawatt Solar!!!
I did a ton of research into solar panels and was lucky enough to get the most passionate and informative sales rep on the planet, Rhody. He took the time to answer all of my questions and listen to what I had to say.
After signing my agreement, Megan took over as the project manager and kept me in the loop as to what was going on, how long it would take as well as any updates she had on her end. She was also very quick to answer any questions I had.
A site visit was scheduled with the project coordinator, Desmond, who came out and did a complete walk-through on my property and we determined the best place to place the ground mount system. He took a bunch of measurements and submitted them for review.
A few weeks later Megan then sent me all the plans and engineer stamps on the project.
My installation manager, Jamie, coordinated the solar installation with Megan.
The day of the solar panel installation Ryan and his crew arrived and although it rained/sprinkles off and on for those 2 days they worked with no complaints and got the job done! They were all very courteous, polite and picked up after themselves. Ryan took the time to do a walk through with me and explain the information on the Enlighten app (for the solar panels).
This whole process has been very smooth and I have been updated the entire time. Even after my solar panel installation I received a phone call from Jamie stating when the inspector was planning on coming out as well as another follow up email from Megan explaining that an inspection would take place and then a net meter would be installed.
Everybody I have came in contact with has been very polite, answered all of my questions and I could tell they are all very passionate about their work.
I can’t thank you enough for such a great experience with these guys and that’s why I would highly recommend going with them for your solar panel needs!

Rising sun solar installed my system since the start of the year. Has been working well and the install team did a good job. Will know more about sizing and overall performance in about a year!

At this time not so impressed! The system was started by design plans from engineering but was changed considerably by crew.
Assembly supports for array were planned for a depth of 54 inches and 12 inches in diameter.
After crew changed designed plans. Support holes were dug to a depth of 36 inches and 8 inch in diameter!
Also array was moved from on site approval, too a more shaded area missing hours of sun light. When plans are set, approved and in motion! They should be carried out! If changes are needed, approval should be aquired! NOPE! NEVER HAPPENED AT RISING SUN!
On April 13th management showed so I could discuss corners cut! He stated that a resolution for repairs would take 48 to 72 hours. Haven't heard from him in 12 days!
Here is the problem! Plans are not carried out as designed! Warranty on structural design is void of warranty by company who builds the assembly. Because not installed correctly by crew!
Corners were cut on my expense. Not a very pleased customer. Watch over the installers. Know the plans!

At this time not so impressed! The system was started by design plans from engineering but was changed considerably by crew. Supports for array was planned for 12 inch piers at the depth of 54 with 48 inch concrete support. After crew changed plans: concrete set at 36 inches with upright supports. Never made it even close to the depth of 54 inches, placed piers on rock and poured concrete at 36 inches on 8 inch pier supports! Also Array was moved from on site approval, too shaded areas missing hours of sun light. Seems when plans are set in approved and in motion! If changes are made approval should be squired! NOPE! NEVER HAPPENED!
