I have been in business a long time and have never felt more taken advantage of than using Select Home Warranty for our clients' warranty needs. They deny all claims without any recourse. they refuse any escalation and will make it impossible to use the warranty. I recommend throwing money into a shredder first before doing business with this company.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH THEM! I've filed 4 claims in the last 2 years and they find a way out of paying EVERY TIME. This time, my 6 yo washer is making such a loud noise when agitating the clothes that you can't even talk over it. Paid $75 for a repair person to come out (who was rude and very unfriendly) He said it needed a new part and would be back. He replaced 2 parts after the first one didn't work, then said it couldn't be fixed and would tell SHW a replacement is recommended....they won't do that as "noises aren't covered". Out $75 and no fix.

They do not pay as promised. I had a problem with my garbage disposal. They said they would give me $75 for a new one (have not received - said 30 days) and did not send anyone out to check it. I had to buy it myself and have someone install it. To have someone just check it out cost me $209. I also tried to cancel and having problems cancelling. Said they would have someone call me to go over the cancelling and no one called. I have used them for years and this was my first claim. I am paid thru $2027. I Want to cancel. I have had another co who paid immediately and paid as promised. Select Home Warranty told me today that it would cost me $75 to cancel. They said they would discuss my rebate when they call me back but did not call back as promised, They have cost me money in lieu of helping.

Purchased a warranty from Select in Feb 2025. file a claim in Sept of 2025 and was denied. Call to cancel and was charged another $75.00 for cancellation. They made over $ 350.00 from me for NOTHING! SCAM.

had a drain blockage from the disposal. was denied service due to the blockage being outside the living space. only learned of the denial on the third day (1st business day) and had to debate the service witht he claims person. will find out in one to two days (now day 4 and 5) on the approval then to schedule a tech. could be looking at over a week to unclog a drain.. if choosing a warranty service....go elsewhere
