				Awful customer service very challenging to understand and communicate with, repeated request to speak with a supervisor finally one called me back after complaining to BBB. Denied an A/C claim for a leak their tech said was not there.

				1 year after purchasing the Platinum Care, I requested Select Home Warranty fix two issues with my home. One with my refrigerator and one with my HVAC.  Select sent out a no name company (in a personal car, no identifying shirt/logo/nothing) and this technician said it was probably the seals on the doors causing the compressor noise and high temps (2 year old GE).  Tech did nothing except charge me the $60 service call fee.  The HVAC issue is even better (funnier?).  HVAC stops working and Select sends out a Tech...again a no name repair company.  Tech says Condenser Fan in outside unit has failed.  Tech tells Select he sprayed lubricant on it and it momentarily worked so no need to replace fan.  Select decides fan is 'rusted' and is not covered under Warranty and I should have my own Tech repair HVAC unit if I want HVAC to work.  OK - Fan is replaced and it's obvious old fan is not rusted but failed due to bearings are worn out and should be covered by Select Warranty. I contact Select Warranty and provide them with the details and all the information they request to determine the fan should be covered under Warranty, the agree...until the 5th phone call.  Here's where it gets good, now Select Home tells me that I replaced the fan without using their Tech so they will not cover the cost of the fan.  Crazy, they tell me to use my own Tech to fix my HVAC, then later say 'wait, you didn't use our Tech so no reimbursement'.  I cancelled my contract with Select Home Warranty.  They are not in the business to help repair your home, they are in the business to avoid fixing/make any repairs.  Oh, by the way, the refund check isn't sent back until 30 BUSINESS days have past.  What a shame on them holding your money for so long.  DO NOT buy a warranty from Select Home.

				Beware, read and understand all the fine print before signing and giving your hard earned money to this or any home warranty company.

				I had a terrible experience with Select Home Warranty. I placed a service request to have my downdraft cooktop repaired, and not only did they fail to fix the original issue, but now the downdraft fan doesn’t work at all. 
I tried contacting Select Home Warranty for a follow-up or resolution, but the communication has been slow and unhelpful. They seem more interested in collecting fees than actually honoring their warranty or ensuring quality repairs.
I’m extremely frustrated and disappointed — I trusted this company to stand behind their service, and instead, I’m left with a broken cooktop and a non-functional fan. I would NOT recommend Select Home Warranty to anyone. Save yourself the headache and go with a more reliable provider.
