This is the worst warranty company I have ever had to deal with. Their whole company is a scam and they should be put out of business and refund all the money they stole from customers like me. I have put in 3 claims with them. They say they can never find a technician ( that makes sense, who would want to deal with them), On a bill on 750.00 for a valid claim they offered a whopping 150.00, that's the most money I ever got out of them. I am thinking of taking them to court.

I cancelled my two 5-year Select Home Warranty contracts early after only 2 years and was shocked to receive only $34 back from over $4,300 paid. They inflated the “daily rate,” double-deducted service costs, and ignored one contract entirely. Their own math contradicts earlier letters, and they kept calling after I asked for written contact only. My BBB complaint remains unresolved — Stay away if you don't want to be REAPED OFF.

Put in a claim for a dangerous electrical issue regarding my circuit breaker buzzing when the devices plugged into the outlets it services are turned on.
Asked if I could use my own electrician, gave them the name and number and they said they would contact him.
Next day I got an email stating they contracted a company called Palm Cost, LLC. GOOGLE that and no company comes up. The Contact phone number on the email went to a voice mail stating no one was available and to call back later. I did. Same answer. There was a link to click on to setup an appointment for the service . A web page came up but had no information as to what company it was tinkered to and no options to select a date or times.
I called Select Home and they gave me a different phone number for Palm Cost and said ask for William.
I called it and a Wiliam answered, he said he had just gotten the call from Select Home, and that his staff was all booked uo for the week, but he could possibly get someone to my house by the end of the week or next week to repair may malfunctioning AC outlet.
I explained to him it was not a defective AC outlet but a defective circuit breaker that was buzzing and getting warm. He said Oh my god, that's not what they told me. He said he would call me back in a little while. He never did.
I called him the next day and he said his staff was still all booked but would call me back later. He never did.
I am going to file for a refund of my $2,150 for 5 years of service and an extra 12 months.
For the record, every time I called Select Home regarding this, they tired to sell me more coverage!

The select home warranty organization is the WORST joke warranty program I have had in 20 years. Poor customer service, deny the most basic claim, we are on 2 months for a check we are due. Save yourself money and time and avoid this place like the plague.

Don’t buy it. It’s pretty horrible. I had a double oven. Go on me and they offered me $225 as reimbursement for my understanding the limit they have per appliance is only $500. My brother had a different warranty company and their cost is for the repair given to my brother was in the 1500 range.
I’m gonna cancel them even if I lose money because they’re BAD.

Company lied about what the repair person said the problem was with the broken appliance, and the repair person started screaming at them that their understanding was wrong, but they refused to change from an uncovered problem to covered problem. Supervisors said this lie could not be changed, and dropped the case. I was never able to get the appliance replaced or repaired under warranty, and the whole process of denying the claim was fraudulent, with absolutely no recourse.

STAY AWAY!!! Deny claims citing Exclusions from policy when it's not! I had to pay out of pocket to fix my AC! And they prorate broken appliances based on its year, so you may get a measley 20% of cost to replace an appliance ...after paying a service call fee!
