SoCal Climate Control

Out of the 4 quotes I got to replace the original HVAC system that had been in place since the 80s, SoCal Climate's quote was right in the middle. They also gave me information that none of the other companies did. After having worked with them before, I chose them again.
The techs they sent were efficient and quiet. The whole job took a day and a half. It was a positive experience, I would absolutely recommend them to others.

Making the appointment was easy and Jason, the technician who came over to do the assessment, was on time, thorough, friendly, courteous and careful. He explained in detail the technicalities of what would be involved in switching from gas to electric. His visit was free, no payment. He sent the proposals for the work and cost within 24 hours. Now we have to make a decision.

Since I'm a mile from the ocean I have never had air conditioning and knew nothing about it. The technician, Benji, understood what our needs would be. We have an attic that was converted I to a living space. Benji assessed which rooms could have ducts installed and recommended a mini split into the larger attic space, which was turned into a living area. The installers, Joseph and Aris, were great. They made only the needed noise so I was able to continue working in the adjacent room They also left the whole area cleaner than when they started! Now the windowless bedroom, which was previously uninhabitable, is at a very comfortable temperature! I am very pleased with the final product!

We needed a new air conditioning system because it had been 25 years since one was installed and our house just wasn't being cooled sufficiently. Also, our current system used freon which I believe is being phased out and can be very expensive to maintain. I contacted SoCal Climate Control for an inspection and Tye stopped by. He measured each room, duct size, and the flow of air throughout the house. He recommended a new unit along with installing larger ducting material in some rooms. I believe his assessment was correct because we had added more square feet to our home over the years but we never upgraded the cooling infrastructure therefore our system was struggling to cool the house. Within 3 days, the installation team installed the new A/C unit and appropriate ducting and we immediately noticed the cooling difference as soon as we turned the unit on. By the way, the installers were very polite and worked extremely hard (mostly in the HOT attic) building the system and installing the materials as per the design. We are very happy with the end results and I recommend this company. This summer should be a cool one!!!

9/21/2023 Latest update.... While this has been a very warm summer, and we've been using the AC much more, my electricity bills for the past two months are less than they were last year at this time. I've also received several e-mail energy notifications from our power company indicating a reduction of electricity usage from previous periods. A new system was definitely the solution and cost savings for us!

They sent a technician to look at our central air system. After checking, he showed us many pictures and explained to us what's wrong in details and quote us a fair price. The tech is knowledgeable, professional and explains things clearly. This company and its technicians worthy of a FIVE STAR rating. Highly recommended.

Do not use this company. We had a guy come out and give us quotes. We shopped around & decided they were going to be the best for the amount of money they were asking for. We largely made that decision based on our initial interaction with the guy the came out to take a look at our needs and give us a quote. After we agreed to pay for the $13,000 AC, we never heard from that guy. We were told that it would take one day. The team that they contracted to do the work was nice, but no one spoke English so it was very difficult to communicate with them. They didn’t have any help from SoCal Climate with communication. They did the best they could with the resources the company gave them, however they had problem after problem with the install that ended up taking 3 days, with a different person coming each time to continue the job. No one communicated that supposedly our breaker box needed service prior to them installing a new unit. Cut to 3 months later, we get a power bill that was much larger than our previous 32 year old AC ever cost to run. We had noticed that almost every time the compressor came on it was a huge power draw, causing our lights to flicker and make a big metallic buzz sound. We called SoCal Climate expecting customer service to send a technician to take a look. They passed us off to their warranty department who came to look at everything, claimed nothing is wrong except our breaker box which someone should have noticed before install. They then charged us an additional fee for the service call because they claimed it’s not their issue. I’m over it. Terrible customer service. I wish we had never dealt with them in the first place, and instead had been able to find a company that would honor their work and make sure things are they way they should be both before and after the job is completed.

Called for an annual HVAC inspection at the office. They came out within a few days. Jim explained things and was very personable, yet incredibly professional. We used them last year and will continue to use them in the future. I highly recommend this company and especially their employee Jim, he was great!!

They provided a reasonable quote for replacing consensus and coil.
