Excellent communication, honest and detailed in inspection of current equipment and detailed in all levels of replacement equipment. Excellent listening skills with NO ‘upselling’ of equipment. Received exactly the information I requested and a clear explanation of all differences between the various equipment and components between the Daikin and the Goodman brands. Also received an immediate written quote on each system for comparisons. An excellent meeting throughout.
Two men came out, identified themselves as there from Thermo and began the disassembly of the old furnace, removing it in pieces, removed the old PVC pipes, and then brought in the new Goodman furnace and installed it. They replaced the plastic exhaust pipes with metal exhaust pipes, then went on the roof and installed the pipe caps and black boots, sealing the roof, all included in the cost of the furnace installation. They spent most of the day and into the early evening working on everything, checking out everything to ensure everything involved with the new furnace was working exactly as required, cleaning up after the installation, and removing all debris. They also installed a new thermostat and two safety CO2 detectors. They also discovered an issue with the other furnace and corrected that as well, at no charge, which wasn’t part of the installation. They were efficient, polite, HIGHLY professional, explained everything if we had any questions, and overall all, I wish ALL tradesmen were as honest and professional as these two men are. They are always welcome to install or service our systems anytime. We plan on having a new Goodman A/C unit installed this summer so I’m sure they will return again. Many thanks for all your help!! Thermo Direct will be Goodman Furnace people. 10 stars!! Jane D.

Thermo Direct replaced a 30 year old 2 ton gas furnace and AC unit with a new 18 SEER Goodman mini split ducted heat pump, designed by Daikin. This is no mini - significantly larger than expected. And the Daikin technology seems superior. Eddie, the Thermo Direct rep who designed the system sold me by saying he has the same unit at his house. It is NOT CHEAP, and he offered 2 estimates 25% lower, but this unit is the cat's meow. I financed it through Thermo Direct.
Israel and his partner installed it in one day and it passed Cary inspection with flying colors.
I have seen thousands of mini splits installed in Asia and Africa, but they are rare in the US. This ducted unit included an air handler that was larger than the old one, so it had to be installed horizontally instead of vertically. Thermo Direct made two large air boxes to attach it to the existing duct work.
Most of the mini splits outdoor units I have seen were attached to the wall, not sitting on the ground. But all the mounting brackets online are made from angle iron and bolted together, usually powder coated. That is not great since it will eventually rust and is not nice to look at. Instead, Israel agreed that I could weld together my own stainless steel mounting bracket. During the first 3 hours, when they were removing the old hardware and setting up the inside unit, I welded a new stainless steel bracket from 1.25in and 2in round tube and 2 in square tube. Through bolted it to the wall with 1/2in galvanized rods, washers, and lock washers. Nothing touches the ground.
This unit qualifies for federal tax credit and Duke rebate.
It is on the first floor. I set the temperature to 69 and it provides base heat, which rises to the second and third floors. These floors have a 4 ton high efficiency gas furnace and AC with 2 zones, set to 68 degrees. They rarely come on during the day now unless it is really cold.
The thermostat is new and modern, but it does not tell me the outside temperature, which does show on one of my Trane thermostats. The app to remotely control the unit is FREE, while Trane charges.
Overall very pleased.

Thermodirect came out... not pushy. Gave us a great quote to replace our current unit (we had a bunch of people come out to give us competing quotes). They scheduled a quick turnaround during the holidays. Got two guys out here to get everything installed. They came out at 10 and were done before 3:30. Had a breaker piece that didn't fit our current breaker so they got an electrician out here to make sure it was installed properly. Had absolutely no issues all the way through. So responsive, so well done. Cleaned up well. Very polite. Great team. Would highly recommend and will be using again.

Silas was very professional and knowledgeable with an approachable personality. He was informative and explained the service details in terms that I would understand. He also offered helpful suggestions on ways to extend the life of my system and also the additional services available to support this approach. I have been using Thermo DIRECT for many years and I am never disappointed with the level of service and the staff.

I can’t say enough good things about Quan and Thermo direct. we had a major plumbing issue this week and Quan and a few other techs came out multiple times took lots of time with us explained things and generally helped to calm down a really stressful situation. I’ve requested Quan to come back to do subsequent work 2 other times since I first met him. His level of service is excellent and he is a professional, easy-going and kind man.

Thermo direct did a great job installing an Goodman SD 3.5-ton Inverter HVAC system. They replaced an incorrectly installed system by moving the air handler from the closet to the attic.
Eddie Blanchard: HVAC Licensed Sale Rep that provided sound technical advice and warned me what to look out for with other contractors and was right.
Austin Jarrell: Him and his team installed the system in 2 days and was up and running.
Terrence Smith: Him and his team finalized the equipment installation by adding more insulation and organizing piping and wire.
Rome Pham: provided great technical service to fine tune the inverter system software.
Only negative is its pricy to move an HVAC from a closet to the attic. But due to multiple factors, builder cut corners on original install and bad install from shady contractors (FOGG HVAC), it had to be done.

Joe was extremely professional in his work. He came in at the appointed time. The installation was done flawlessly and we can have a nice hot shower. Also, I would like to mention his assistant (apprentice David) who helped make this job easier. Thanks to Thermo Direct for having professionals like Phillip, Joe and David on their team. I will recommend this company to my family and friends.

I had a wonderful experience working with Felipe from Thermo Direct! From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. He took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions with patience, and made sure I felt confident about the service being provided. Felipe’s attention to detail and friendly personality made the entire process stress-free. It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about both the quality of their work and the comfort of their customers, but Felipe does exactly that. Highly recommend him and Thermo Direct!

Felipe and Ben serviced the HVAC system recently and were thorough in their work. Felipe was super cordial and explained his findings in a way that was not intimidating, which I appreciated. I highly recommend Thermo Direct to anyone who needs this service for their home or business. Thank you Thermo Direct!

Quan was very pleasant and friendly upon arrival. He carefully diagnosed the issue with the toilet and sink. He explained in detail how he planned to fix the water leak in both places. He worked diligently, cleaned up thoroughly afterward, and even helped me save a bit of money.
