A good team.
They went right to work and got the job done.
It was quite an extensive job as the had to take just about everything out of the furnace, but in a few hours, they had it up and running in tip-top shape.

⭐ 1 Star – Beware of Thornton & Grooms ⭐

We had an extremely frustrating and costly experience with Thornton & Grooms that homeowners should be aware of. In March 2024, just two months after having our third baby, we hired them for what should have been a small pipe repair in our family room. Their mistakes turned it into a major plumbing disaster.

They dug up our floors, replaced a pipe, and refilled the space with concrete and gravel. Months later, we are dealing with severe water damage, mold growth, and an unsafe living environment for our children.

When we reached out for accountability, they:
❌ Denied responsibility, falsely claiming "prior water damage" (which we never had, we had carpet so we would know).
❌ Ignored clear evidence their installation caused the issue. (which he had verified by other professionals)
❌ Cancelled an inspection without notifying us, delaying crucial air quality checks.
❌ Refused to return our calls and emails to come out to the home.
❌ Never pulled a permit for the major plumbing work—and have even ignored the city’s attempts to reach them.

Now, we are left dealing with the consequences of their negligence. If you value your home and peace of mind, think twice before hiring Thornton & Grooms.

Well run, act together company. Everything from booking of the appointment to the completion of the job was easy, accurate and well done. The main drain at my home clogged. I made the appointment on my phone with their super easy software, it took less than a minute at 2:30 in the morning. Thornton grooms confirm the appointment and sent a technician out right away. The tech notified me when he was on his way.
Brandon was excellent and knew his stuff. He paid great attention to detail and respected my home, wearing shoe covers, putting down protective floor covers and sanitizing the work area before leaving. He was very thorough in making sure that the job was done correctly and there was no problems down the line. He had all the tools and everything he needed including a Shop-Vac to sop up any water. Price was reasonable and Brandon was a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend Thornton grooms.
They can handle the most extreme jobs. They replaced my main line in my home, Jack hammered up the floor and put everything back how it was an amazing expert fashion. So no matter what problem you have large or little. They can handle it.

As a first time homeowner, plumbing issues are terrifying. Megan Ashley was super nice and friendly. She wore her shoe covers every single time she stepped into my home. She kept me informed with everything she was doing as she did it, and truthfully allowed my anxiety to calm just by her presence. She was able to clear my shower drain after lots and lots of effort. I could never say enough good things about her as well as Thornton and Grooms. Thank you for the constant text updates confirming my appointment. Will happily recommend you all to everyone I know.

The service technicians have always done a great job taking care of our A/C and heating equipment. Juan was our technician today for our furnace check. Juan did a good job explaining what he was going to do and his recommendations will definitely be something we consider carefully so our furnace stays in good working condition. Juan is definitely another strong member of Thornton & Grooms' team of technicians and service people.

Chip was very professional, kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. He explained all of my options well. I am so glad he came so quickly!! The three gentleman who came and did my installation did a great job! They installed my furnace very thoughtfully and even turned the humidifier so I can actually get TO it now!! They had a long day, nearly 12 hours for installation - they took the time to be sure it was done right! I am very, very happy with the work they did. And after such a long day, they still took the time to be sure I understood everything. I am so grateful! Donald also was great. It turns out the guys forgot to turn my water heater back on after they were done (who knew there were TWO on-off switches?!?), and in the meantime, it appeared as though my new furnace wasn't working, but it was the new governmental system that had to reset for 5 minutes, blowing cold for that time, before the furnace could take over again. In the meantime, Don taught me some more very important tips to help maintain my furnace and humidifier!
Zack came and finished off the electrical to bring my home up to code a week afterwards. He was very respectful, cheerful, efficient, informative, and he was kind enough to take the time to give me a quote on some further work I'm considering having them do on my home, too. Overall great experience!
