Affordable Heating and Air

We just purchased and had installed a Carrier Heat Pump from Affordable Heating and Air. Our air conditioner stopped working totally. We changed from a gas furnace/electric air conditioner to the Carrier Electric Heat Pump.
The Senior Advisor, Allen B was so helpful in options and different brands. He made our decision so much easier. I went with Affordable Heating and Air initially because of their outstanding online reviews. Their price was very, very good, and we quickly decided on them.
From detailed sales and product information (Allen B) to incredible installation team (Estanley and Frank) to phone consults and rebate help, the entire process has been very easy and comforting. Jeremiah B. from the office ws very helpful in rebate process.

I had a problem with my Air Conditioning Control and Thermostat. I’m a fairly technical person and couldn’t figure it out setting the thermostat. The compressor would not start when cooling. I set the temperature at 73 degrees F. When indoor temperature increases to 75 degrees F., the air supply fan would start but the outside condensing unit compressor will not start. I observed the compressor would start only after it was 4 degrees F. or above the setpoint. I called Affordable Heating and Air and spoke to Sara and explained the situation. She was very courteous and showed me a lot of empathy and compassion about my frustration and problem. Sara assured me that she would send Juan to diagnose the problem. A couple of hours or so later Juan came to my house and he was very friendly and eager to see the controls to see what is going on, as I have a Venstar T1800 thermostat. Juan was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable and checked all the install connections to my furnace air handler and condensing unit. The connections seemed fine. It was a bit complicated as my condensing unit was a heat pump able multi-stage compressor. My thermostat, although compatible, was not wired to work with this system. Juan along with a call to Jimmy, Affordable Heating and Air’s Tech Manager, diligently, and thoroughly diagnosed the problem texting photos and diagrams of the system. After several hours of troubleshooting and diagnosing, they were not only able to identify and fix the problem via wiring corrections, but ensure that the multi-stage compressor on my condensing unit performed as it was designed. Jimmy spoke to me on the phone and thoroughly explained everything to me. Wow, I am blown away, and so pleasantly surprised at the level of service I received from Juan and Jimmy. They are both so professional, courteous, and so knowledgeable. I enjoyed and appreciate talking to Jimmy as I like technical things about HVAC and he is a walking encyclopedia and wealth of information regarding HVAC and wiring diagram schematics. Juan and Jimmy not only provided me exceptional customer service, but ensured my HVAC was working as designed. I strongly recommend them. Donna Kreisler (Owner of Affordable Heating and Air) if you are reading this, Jimmy and Juan are a tremendous asset to the company. Do not lose them! Initially, things were a little rocky, but Affordable Heating and Air stood by their product and made sure I was completely satisfied. Juan was fantastic and great with customer service. He arrived immediately on time, was very friendly and helpful, and did his job with efficiency and tact. Overall, Juan is a person who I could trust in my home to do his job, and I would imagine that this company takes the same care in hiring other people as they did with hiring him.

Affordable H&A replaced my 33 year old ducting. They came out the day after I contacted them and went over what they thought should be done, providing me with a quote. It was 19% and 34% less than other quotes (with the same work proposed). A week later the installation folks completed the work in about 6 hours. They carefully screened off the closet where they had access to the attic and lay tarps to not mark my floors. After they stripped out the old ducts they showed me how they were going to build a new box on the furnace and where the new ducting would be routed. They kept me informed each step of the process which was nice to learn what and how the work was done. One item on the estimate was not needed and they promptly credited the money I paid for that item.

In the photos you can see the shiny new ducts and the old gray ducting that was failing in some places and which had been modified by prior homeowners. Photos also how the closet was masked off to keep everything clean.

I give them a 5-star review and definitely recommend their work and communication.

Javier came within a few hours to fix a broken furnace. He spent a lot of time going over every potential problem and isolating the source. He did a great job of explaining every step he took and gave honest thorough options for what to do. Cannot recommend higher.

We recently got 3 mini split units from Affordable Heating and Air. It was a seamless experience from start to finish. Easy quoting, best price( we got 4 different quotes from different companies), all staff was polite and helpful. From customer service, installers to service call, all very professional. We just had Jeremy Russel come out today on Christmas Day, we were so grateful. He did his due diligence and throughly inspected and everything was good. Upon requesting the service call customer service worked promptly to get us someone out her even during the holiday. Thank you Jeremy!
