We’re having our shower remodeled, converting our old bathtub into a walk‑in shower. Bob was incredible, he explained everything clearly and helped us understand all of our options. He was especially helpful when I was deciding between two colors, making sure I knew how each one would look with our lighting and wall color. I truly feel like I had the best person guiding me through the entire process.
Shane came out to the house. He was very knowledgeable and nice. He helped us choose a great design with extra options for a small bathroom project. He was clear with the pricing options and did not overpressure us for a sale. We are still in the exploration phase.
Installation of shower in the master bathroom and tub/shower in the guest bathroom was completed by Carolina Home Remodeling. Angel was a hard worker…diligent and precise. He was patient with my questions and answered with proficiency and did an excellent job in both bathrooms. I highly recommend him.
Bob Fanell came out and gave us a great quote. He was super friendly and provided us great customer service! Since we are returning customers, we questioned him about the job that was done for our windows years ago, and he was able to answer our questions. This is one reason why we will most likely return to Carolina Home Remodeling for our future projects!
We recently had a new shower installed by Carolina Home Remodeling, and, while the workmanship itself appears solid and the installers were professional, our experience with the design and communication process was deeply disappointing—especially given the nearly $28,000 investment.
Five weeks before installation, we sat down with the design consultant and carefully selected the exact shower design and paneling we wanted. However, on the morning of installation, we were told for the first time that the side panels would not match the back feature wall as designed and that we “probably weren’t going to like the final product.” We were then offered plain white side panels instead because, as we were told, other customers had chosen that option when faced with the same issue.
While that may sound like a reasonable alternative, this information should have been communicated weeks earlier, not at the last minute when the installation team was already there and the process was underway. Had we known upfront that our chosen design would not come together as presented, we likely would have selected an entirely different shower design.
To make matters worse, the replacement white panels are not even the same shade of white as the patterned Jacuzzi back wall, making the mismatch even more noticeable. After two days installation, and unhappy customers, I informed the company and the customer service was pretty lackluster, especially from a girl names Faith who asked for final payment and couldn’t care less that I was not happy. They offered to come out on another day while I was traveling to show what the mismatched side spade walls would’ve look like, but come on…
I understand things can happen in remodeling projects, and I know many customers may have positive experiences. But good business is about clear communication, managing expectations, and honoring the design process. A $500 credit does not come close to addressing the frustration of ending up with something materially different than what was selected and expected.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this company. I hope this helps someone else.

We had a great experience working with Carolina Home Remodeling. TIm Gorman was great & easy to talk to about all the options. Wayne was our installer for both bathrooms. He worked very hard those days and did an excellent job. Derek with Shower doors of Charlotte finished the job by installing the all glass door on our shower. We highly recommend this company.
Shane was a pleasure to work with!!😊 He explains the process of creating the best fit for what we need and the materials that we were looking for in upgrading our master bath. He was very respectful of us and our home, we were comfortable with his ability to take care of the project details and definitely placed your company in a favorable light! We would recommend him and your company to anyone we knew, who was looking for remodeling services! Definitely a plus for you to have him in your employ from our perspective!!!
I recently purchased an exterior door (TODAY - February 23rd), and I couldn't be happier with the experience. I’ll be honest—I went into the appointment dreading it and felt very hesitant about making a decision today. However, Shane completely turned that around.
He was incredibly professional, informative, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain every detail and walked me through all my options without any pressure. Because he made me feel so comfortable and informed, I ended up making a purchase on the spot without a second thought. If you're looking for a stress-free process, ask for Shane McMahan.

Extremely EXPENSIVE!!!! A car salesman's like presentation. I felt like I was in a VPK class with the way we were spoken to. My wife and I are ADULTS not children. Stated we needed NEW plumbing....why? To bring it to code they stated. I check with our local code enforcement officer and he reiterated several times that our plumbing does not need to be "brought to code" for a simple shower insert. Kept attempting to talk us away from the cheaper product because the more expensive ones are better for your health. Also stated we had mold in our shower. So we had a neighbor who is a retired chemist come and look at this "mold". They took some samples via swab, ran a quick test, and was informed unequivocally that there was absolutely no mold present. I understand a company has to make money but when they use pressure tactics and false claims to get you to buy, you push an educated consumer away.
PS. Wanted to charge us $4,000.00 for glass shower doors for an extremely small shower insert!
