While I was not pleased to be replacing my system after only about 5 years with two compressor failures, working the proposal with Bill Blair was efficient and responsive to my situation and needs. The install crew was neat and efficient. The techs were very polite and worked as a team. The system is running very well.

Our original HVAC company gave us a an estimate to replace our entire HVAC system because of a problem we were having. I called Modern Mechanical and they sent out a tech within 2 hours. He ran his test on our air handler and heat pump and determined we really DID NOT require a complete HVAC replacement. All he did was to add some additional refrigerant into the heat pump to bring it up the required amount. Did some additional upgrades and all is well . Jamie was the tech and did a GREAT job explaining what he felt the problem was and DID NOT require a new HVAC SYSTEM. He is a great representative for Modern Mechanical and I will now use them for all our future HVAC REQUIREMENTS. 👍👍👍

Our technician, Gabe, was very friendly and seemed very knowledgeable. He quickly identified the problem and explained various options. Glad I called Modern Mechanical to troubleshoot our A/C problem.

Today I received service from Craig Moss of Modern Mechanical and he was AMAZING!!! Craig was professional, punctual, AND trustworthy. I say he’s trustworthy because as a first time homebuyer, I got three different quotes and Craig was the only person to teach me about my AC system, the home maintenance plan, and how to smartly save and invest for a newer system a few years from now. HVAC went out the day I left for travel. They were kind and got out quickly but for a simple capacitor replacement they marked up the capacitor 200% from $30 to $60. But changed over $300 for labor which is 2 screws and 4 push power connectors which is outrageous. I like this company but this is without a doubt price gouging. I suggest you shop around but unfortunately I had zero choice.

Update: The $400 figure does not represent the cost of dispatching a technician for diagnosis, as per your website and receipt. The actual charge is $119, which is a reasonable amount for a trained professional to provide this service.

This company was nice and prompt but do price gouge. Make ups are over 300% and labor costs for a 5 minute capacitor swap is almost $400 dollars is ridiculous. It wasn’t even an emergency call just normal. I would shop around, unfortunately I had no choice as I was out of town and my neighbor was kind enough to let them in.

Update: the $400 is not the cost to dispatch a tech to diagnose as per your own website and receipt that’s a $119 charge. Which is a reasonable charge to have a trained tech.

Just prior to listing our home for sale, our heat pump died. We contacted One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning, and they sent a technician that day. He was professional and knowledgeable. We could repair it or replace it. Given its age, we replaced it, and the installation was done in a few days. Tremendous service! Fast forward to our new home. We opted to replace both 21-year-old HVAC systems (upstairs and downstairs) and there was no doubt which company to call, One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning. The contracting process was simple and easy, and the price was very reasonable. The team of technicians, led by Ludwig, were on-time, professional, and did a great job and they thoroughly cleaned up when they finished, which was nice. After two transactions in 6 months, with both installations having gone smoothly, I can’t say enough and highly recommend them.
