First of all, I reviewed this company on various sites before committing to having my windows replaced. I noticed a lot of negative, recent reviews. Problem I had was a lot of reviewers did not pinpoint which state they were from. So.....

My review of PowerHRG. I am based in Somerville, Texas and used PowerHRG out of Houston, Texas.

Awesome. From start to finish. I had 14 windows replaced at a competitive price with low interest payments (Maybe a high credit score? Dunno.).

SALES TECHNIQUE? Maybe a bit heavy but considering we had original windows dating to1964 we really were an easy sell. It all being put on table we had three days to back out. In that time we priced similar windows and companies. PowerHRG weren't the cheapest and they openly admit that. However. Everything was explained in detail and we followed our gut feeling. We WEREN'T disappointed....Read On.

BUILD UP TO INSTALLATION? Communication was excellent and all measurements were double checked by different engineers.

COMMUNICATION? Every step of the way. Dates and times. Excellent.

INSTALLATION? Without doubt, this is where they excelled. They were beyond awesome! Covered all furniture and floors, even walkways through the house. Everyone in the team knew their job and they worked well together, not one raised voice and like a conveyer belt. They were friendly and very professional. Job completion time - 6 hours from start to finish with a 30 minute break in there. They finished the job by leaving our home cleaner than when they arrived. After cleaning up we were given a full demonstration of how the windows work. Just windows right? No. There was so much to them, what to do if a window gets jammed during cleaning without trouble being the standout information. People even stopped to ask who was doing the work and how it was looking great.

QUALITY? Excellent. These are awesome windows, they had everything the sales pitch promised, they really are reflective, sound proof and look wonderful. We have a very busy road and a 24/7 railroad only 100 yards away with a crossing that has to be acknowledged by train drivers with various high pitched whistles. Imagine the noise. Now? We hear nothing from the road and a very very faint whistle from the trains.
Finally, since installation on the 2nd July (It's now 10th) and having checked my daily electricity usage have halved my bill. Did I say HALVED? I did (Smile).

For anyone considering Power Home Remodeling… their work on our gutters was terrible. We’ve called, we’ve sent pictures, we had another one of their sales reps come by trying to get some other work done, we told him about our bad experience, still nothing. They’ve sent a crew to repair the bad work once and we still have water spilling over the sides and behind.

At this point… I just want gutters that actually divert water from my home. I didn’t that was too much to expect with the 10 grand we paid. They say they guarantee the work… but not if they have to hire actually effective contractors.

Power came out and redid the siding on our home. Overall product we were 100% satisfied with. Our home went from an outdated asbestos siding home to a beautiful blue siding with sleek black gutters
Lower rating due to issues we had with the cleanliness of the crew that came and did our siding and damage that was done after the product. However, Nick came to the rescue after the installation and took care of cleaning and repairing items that were broken during the installation process. He was easily accesible and kept us well informed the entire time.
Shout out to Connor as well for full transparency and making sure we were accounting for all possible costs during this process so that we weren’t hit with additional costs half way thru the project !

Work was done in the fall of 2024. I am still picking up nails and pieces of metal. The person who convinced to have my gutters replaced didn’t tell me they could be re aligned. They were replaced in 2018. He insisted on the fact that I didn’t need to have gutter guards. The 6” gutters would clean themselves. That turns out to be a bogus statement, my gutters are full of debris that I now have to pay someone to clean out. I feel like I have been taken advantage of and told false statements.

I have been waiting for a right time to post this and this is it, after more than a year after their work is done on my house...

Predatory Practices by Power Home Remodeling

If you’re considering Power Home Remodeling for home repairs, please read this carefully. This company uses high-pressure, manipulative sales tactics to push overpriced services and predatory loans. Here’s what you need to know:

If You’ve Signed a Contract: Act fast! You have a 3-day cooling-off period to cancel, as required by consumer protection laws. Send a cancellation notice via American Telegram (pay for a file copy and delivery signature for legal proof). This step is critical to protect yourself.

If They’ve Contacted You: If you’ve scheduled a “free quote,” cancel immediately and block their number. If a representative shows up at your door, politely but firmly ask them to leave. They may use friendly, disarming questions to gain your trust—don’t engage.

Their Sales Tactics: Expect a lengthy (up to 5-hour) presentation designed to overwhelm and pressure you. They’ll inflate costs of competitors’ services, then offer a “discounted” price that’s only valid if you sign immediately. This price is typically double what a reputable contractor would charge. Delaying your decision often results in a higher quote, a tactic to force quick agreements.
Work Quality and Warranties: While some customers report decent work quality, Power Home Remodeling’s business model relies on overcharging and manipulation. Their warranties appear to be standard manufacturer warranties, not unique company guarantees, despite what their website may suggest.
How They Silence Criticism: Power Home Remodeling actively suppresses negative feedback and uses generic, copy-paste responses to complaints, which raises red flags about their transparency.

Protect Yourself:

Always get multiple quotes from licensed, reputable contractors ( 3 options minimum)

Be cautious of door-to-door salespeople or unsolicited offers.

Research any company thoroughly before signing contracts or agreeing to loans.

We are thrilled with the change Power accommodated for the new look of our home! We went with Board and Batten and love the look! Power is so easy to work with and they are all so courteous. We highly recommend them.

All of the folks were very professional and courteous. They communicated every step of the project and made me feel present and kept me informed. The pricing was very competitive and the value of the windows I got is excellent. I definitely plan to have Power come back in the future for more improvements.

If FRANK is your project manager- cancel your order! In Maryland, you have 5 days to cancel a contract.

Siding leaks. Used 3” long nails to attach siding- those punctured our electrical and plumbing lines! We had to hire a plumber to fix that! The crew did stay to correct the electrical problem but only because I wouldn’t sign the “job complete” form. In addition, I know basic electrical stuff and told them they had to install junction boxes- otherwise they would have just put some new wire and wire nuts to complete a connection. It was in our kitchen, so luckily it was an outlet that is used often. Check all your electrical outlets/lights before you sign!

FRANK had the nerve to fault the builder for not installing nail guards to protect the electric wires throughout the house! Who does that?!

They leaned a ladder against our screened porch and busted the screen-apparently we signed a document that stated they are not responsible for damage to the property.

When replacing windows, they scratched sills and ceilings. 1 window has sticker debris in between the pane glass. I don’t want them to return to replace it!

They used multiple short pieces of flashing which looks ugly, but it also buckles and some of the soffit pieces fell out.

FRANK never came to our house to inspect anything. In fact, communication was so lousy that they sided and flashed around the old windows. And when the window crew arrived on day 3, they had to rip down the new siding and cut off the new aluminum flashing. The window crew was pissed- maybe that’s why my walls and sills are dinged.

Huge language barrier problem. When asking a crew member or telling them you want something a certain way, they nod, say yes, but don’t understand a damn thing you said! I had to have my friend come over and explain that we had freeze resistant hose-bibs and they must be secured to the house. They cut off the wood supports and were just going to let the hose bibs float out, which they would end up breaking eventually. And they also were not properly siding around an outdoor outlet! If I hadn’t caught these mistakes, we’d have some eyesore hose bibs and electrical outlets!

It’s been 9 months. From a distance, our house looks lovely! Still picking up aluminum shards, nails, and small pieces of siding throughout the whole yard.

They did return to fix the soffit. I have to have them come and fix the siding leak. It’s onto our porch, and I really don’t like dealing with POWER.

If I had to do it all over again, I would have educated myself about how siding is installed instead of learning as they go.

10 years ago, we had siding installed on another home, a townhome, by Home Depot. That crew tried to Tyvek over decayed plywood…. You could see into the house! I pointed out their error and they weren’t very happy to fix it.

Take time off work and manage your home! Those crews only care about getting finished and moving on.

Absolute predatory behaviors from these salespeople. High-pressure sales tactics target people who are nice enough to let them into their homes. DO NOT let them into your home and DO NOT give them your time. Their estimates are insanely overpriced with absurd interest rates. DO NOT fall for these tactics, it's a scam.

Their behavior is unacceptable. The sales guy would not leave. We had to escort him out because it was 10 PM. AT 10 P.M! MY mom doesn't speak English and wanted him to go home. She kept repeating "Go home" because she was tired and wanted our privacy back. As we were escorting him away, the guy had the audacity to say YOU GO HOME to my mom as he tried to pressure us on the way to his car. Disgusting practices. No matter how good your windows, you do not say that to your clients or customers. AVOID AT ALL COST.

We had Power come out and provide us with an estimate for our roof replacement. The salesmen were at our home for about 4 hours. Their sales process is very high pressure. They give you a price that is guaranteed for a year but if you buy today we can sell it to you for this lower price. That price is only good until they leave. Their philosophy is that they have spent so much time that to give you that lower price would cost them money because their salesmen have to come back. The price discount was several thousand dollars. We went and agreed to a price. First issue was the drip rail was to be bronze. What was delivered was grey, stopped work and discovered that the vendor claimed this was bronze.
Power and I both agreed it was grey. Foreman went and got brown. ( Why does salesman not have small samples of the product for color clarification.). Due to the drip rail and weather they had to return the next day. They did not inform us they were leaving went outside and they were gone. 2 gentleman showed up to finish the work the next morning and neither spoke English. We had quality issues with the work completion and they left and we got to deal with the office. A project Manager and roofer showed up the next day and fixed the issues.

When we agreed to the price it included replacement of 12 sheets of OSB the salesman promised us that if they did not use it all we would be reimbursed for the OSB that was returned. 1.5 sheets were used and we still have not seen reimbursement for the material that was not used. They assured us that they would pick up when the job was complete. This work was performed 2 weeks ago and we pick up 4-5 nails daily in the driveway. Overall they use quality material. You have to pay close attention to what they are doing or they will cut corners. Not sure I would use them again.
