We had such an excellent experience with Public Service Solar.

I started my process with EnergySage and wound up with 4 bids. They were all over the map, but I looked up all the companies, had zoom calls with three of them, and then narrowed it down to Public Service Solar and Infinity Energy. I went with Public Service because they were able to get the job done quickly, and because they had a roofing team as part of their business. They also had the best warranties on everything (roof, work, solar gear). I was also impressed that many of my calls had me talking to the owner/founder of the company, not a lower-level desk jockey.

In the end Public Service outperformed all their promises. They got the permits lightning fast, did my roof in a day, and solar install in a 2nd day. The were super professional throughout the process, including placing 2 or 3 follow up calls to make sure everything was satisfactory. They managed the mess of paperwork with the state of NJ to get enrolled in all incentive programs, and one year on, we're saving a ton of money and selling excess production back to the grid. It's proven to be a great financial decision already.

Truly I have not had many experiences with major contractors that have been as painless, and I have recommended them personally to several friends and colleagues when they ask me about or solar install.

It was a pleasure working with Tony, Mike, and Andrew. Tony was incredibly helpful from day one, guiding me through the entire solar project and answering all of my questions promptly. The installation team was professional, courteous, and kept me informed throughout every stage of the project.

Overall, the experience was smooth and exceeded my expectations. I’m so satisfied with their work that I’m already working with Public Service Solar on another small project. I highly recommend them to anyone considering solar/roofing projects.

The entire team was professional, Bruce and Andrew and the whole team are very knowledgeable, and always available to answer my questions. The installation was smooth, completed on time, and everything has been working perfectly.

My experience with Public Service Solar (PSS) has been very positive.

From the initial discussions regarding number and placement of panels, the staff at PSS was very helpful and responded quickly to my many questions. We entered into contract on 9/16/2025 and the panels were installed and fully operational on 12/23/2025; this allowed me to take advantage of the 30% federal tax incentive that would expire on 12/31/2025.

The staff at PSS was very professional and knowledgeable, and never made any unrealistic promises. The contract was for 34 panels at a net cost of $41,680. PSS only required an up-front payment of $500 with the balance of the cost due upon completion of installation. With PSS, the mental and financial stress of whether the plans would be approved disappeared.

For comparison, a different solar panel company had quoted me 20% due at contract signing, 40% upon permit approval, 30% upon material delivery, and 10% upon installation completion; that’s 60% due before you even know if the plans would be approved! And in hindsight, their plans had major mistakes! This other solar panel company also said that I was required to upgrade my electric service panel to 200 Amps. PSS stated emphatically that my current 100 amp service was adequate, saving me $4,500.

After installation, PSS was very helpful in getting me setup with GATS (for recording the solar production numbers) and with Solar Incentives (for the associated SREC payments to me).

Net-Metering started on 2/26/2026 and in the 4 months since then, the panels have greatly exceeded my expectations.

In summary, I am very happy that I went with PSS and I highly recommend them.

They were great, through the whole process. Information was explained properly, completed the job as they said they would. Scheduling was a breeze, inspections were smooth, the install was clean. we we’re very hesitant on getting solar because of how it looked on the roof, but this company installed the solar in a very clean manner where it looks great. Communication and customer service very Highly rated. I am thankful for their dedicated team, their electrician Joe, their salesman, Mark and their master electrician Mike they were phenomenal. Joseph and his crew are like a well oil machine every crew member knew exactly what they were doing very neat started at 8am were done by 3:30 pm. I want to also say that I did a lot of research before I picked Public Service Solar they are the only solar installers you should use. Bruce in sales were very helpful in explaining everything. I went with 40 SEG-440-BTG-BG panels and Enphase Energy IQ8HC inverters. I was looking to buy not lease very reasonable cost. I signed contract on April 6, 2026 and was installed on April 27, 2026 amazingly the town came the next day for inspection everything passed now just waiting for the power company and the state.

We were on a closed grid for so long and it was quite frustrating as all we wanted to do was cut our grid dependency and monthly bill! Finally we got the call, grid was open, and shortly after the cold calls began. It was so lovely sounding, generate your own electricity, reduce carbon footprint, reduce bills. but it was hard to trust all those salesmen!

We did our own research and found Public Service Solar, through the entire thing there was no pressure, the rep Mark, was happy to answer all our questions, even when we started to repeat the same ones. He was exceptionally patient.

Just today install day came and the crew arrive around 9AM, introduced themselves asked for attic access and where our fuse box was. They handled the install like they'd done it many times before and were in and out with a job so well done I was shocked.

Our roof looks good, panels placed nicely and neatly 15 in the front 3 in the back, and already generating power for us. Best of all, even after handing off the check to pay for our panels in full, the rep still reached out immediately to answer more of my questions!

There are so many companies out there selling you lies, or B rated equipment but I trust Public Service Solar and I think you would too if you gave them a call, seriously I have no complaints thank you so much for the hard work you all do!

Public Service Solar did an absolutely outstanding job at my home. From start to finish, the entire experience was organized, efficient, and incredibly professional. They sent a team of seven people split into three specialized groups — one working on the roof, one inside the house, and another handling the control box. Watching them operate was impressive; everyone knew exactly what they were doing.
They installed 31 solar panels in a single day, and the workmanship is excellent. Even in the winter, I’m already producing close to 72% of the electricity I consume, which is remarkable. I can only imagine how much more I’ll generate once summer arrives.

After doing extensive solar research and meeting with several companies, I decided to go with Public Service Solar, it was honestly an easy decision. They hit all the check box’s that were important to me:

-Included Enphase consumption monitor
-Outstanding pricing

I worked with several PSS folks throughout the process. Tony and Bruce were especially knowledgeable and responsive. They answered every single question or concern I had (my house has a fully automatic standby generator).

The crew and electrician that did the installation did an amazing job - it looks as good as solar panels can! The included critter guard is both practical AND adds a clean finished look (hides any wires).

They completed the install within the estimated time frame, handled all permits and scheduled inspections. They also filed all required documents for my PTO and SREC credits.

I love data and smart home apps, it’s awesome that PSS provides the Enphase consumption monitor at no cost- other companies were charging for this or just not including it. It gives you total insight of your electric usage, solar production and your total consumption (energy usage).

If you are considering solar (why wouldn’t you) I highly recommend going with PSS.
