I’ve been using America Home Shield for the past five years and really like their service. Their customer support is responsive, transparent with no hidden fees, and their quotes are very reliable, especially for roof repairs. Their website is easy to navigate, and I’d give them five stars. ⭐

like American Home Shield because it offers flexible plans, covers major home systems and appliances, doesn’t require a pre-inspection, and lets you choose your service fee based on your budget.

My rating is 5 Stars because Advance contacted me within the 24 hour window to schedule the appointment just as AHS advised. They texted me this morning to advise of the technician’s arrival and provided a tracking for the exact time of him coming to ring the doorbell. Mr. Turner was most professional, thorough and kind. He detected the problem, made the repair and explained all of what he did to make the repair. He provided me with a very thorough explanation of the parts, how the system works and did so where I could understand it. He even explained safety mechanisms within the unit that stopped the unit from engaging because a repair needed to be made. I am proud to say that his work is top tier and he represented Advance HVAC very WELL!!! This was my first experience with AHS and they did not disappoint.

I had a toilet issue where the seal was broken and the smell was very bad. I called AHS and received a call back right away and was connected to A1 Phoenix plumbing.
Mario Gonzalez came out to the house and addressed the problem, fixed it with no issues. He was so polite and kind and made me feel at ease immediately. I'm so impressed with not only AHS but the contractor A1 Phoenix. This was so professionally done and I have no more stinky smells. Great and quick service all the way around.
Sincerely,
Johanna

I was a client of American Home Shield for several years. While filing a claim was a difficult and timely process, they generally came through.
My problem was TRYING to cancel the service. I called on September 1st to cancel. My information was taken and sent to their cancellation department. On September 12, someone called to make sure I wanted to stop service and tried to talk me into staying. I refused and asked them to cancel. They continued billing me for three consecutive months. After repeated calls demanding cancellation, I kept being told that only the cancellation department can actually do it, and apparently never "accepted" my cancellation. I filed a dispute with my credit card, and finally they cancelled. However, they told the credit card company I didn't cancel until November! My credit card company very kindly offered to credit one month's charges, but the other two were on me. These people are crooks!

Our furnace died December 20. Today is January 15. American Home Shield is not fulfilling our contract. The diagnosis from their contacted technician is replacement. Our local contractor says AHS has been very difficult to work with. They will not return his calls and seem unwilling to replace our furnace. They should call themselves American Home Shysters. They give me the runaround every day. DON’T SIGN UP WITH THIS COMPANY. Tomorrow, they will email me offering help and then DO NOTHING.

I am a senior citizen and I feel deceived and scammed by American Home Shield. American Home Shield sent out a plumber that cut a hole in my ceiling to replace a tub drain that had a leak from the 2nd floor. It started to leak again approximately 90 days later in the same exact place and I was told by AHS that the 30 day guarantee was expired (even though I explained that I had been out of town). After many calls and frustration, I finally hired a private plumber (after explaining the leak again, the only solution that AHS had offered was that I pay another $125 service fee again and use their plumbers AGAIN )---- low and behold, I hired a private plumber and they put in writing with pictures that "the tub drain that was installed had a crack in it and there was silicone put over the crack to try and keep it from leaking. Tub drain continued to leak anyway. "--In addition, the AHS warranty states ("#10. Can you find your own Service Contractor?") that "We will provide you with a Service Contractor. In certain limited situations as determined by us, we may ask or permit you to find and contact your own service contractor to diagnose the Breakdown of the Covered item at our cost." ---BTW, I have been with them for 3 yrs. and have paid for the most expensive ShieldPlatinum plan. " The repairs were unethical and dishonest, to say the least.
