American Standard warrants its products against defects in material and workmanship under normal use, with coverage periods varying by product type. For example, Luxury Series Acrylic Tubs have a limited lifetime warranty, while Americast Tubs carry a 10-year limited warranty on enameled surfaces and a 1-year warranty on textured floor surfaces. Walk-in baths also have coverage, including a 15-year warranty on the bathtub and a lifetime warranty on the door seal. The warranty is only valid for the original purchaser or the first property owner if purchased by a contractor.
The warranty covers repair or replacement of defective products but excludes damages from improper installation, lack of maintenance, accidents, natural disasters, or modifications. Any warranty is void if the product is moved, modified, or not installed according to instructions. The warranty does not cover labor or costs for removal, reinstallation, or surrounding materials. Some limitations on implied warranties may not apply in all states.
Coverage begins from the original purchase date, with specific durations based on the product type (e.g., 10 years for Americast surfaces, 15 years for certain walk-in bath components). Warranties are non-transferable and only apply to residential or the first commercial use unless otherwise specified.

American Standard warrants its plumbing products to be free from material and workmanship defects for one year from the purchase date, applicable to the original purchaser. Covered products may be repaired, replaced, or exchanged at American Standard’s discretion if deemed defective within the warranty period. Certain natural wood variations, such as grain patterns and mineral streaks, are excluded from defect coverage.
This warranty excludes damage from improper maintenance, cleaning, shipment, or installation, as well as Acts of God and natural disasters. It does not cover labor costs, installation, removal expenses, or code compliance issues. Warranty is void if the product is moved, altered, installed incorrectly, or damaged through misuse or negligence. Liability is limited to the warranty coverage, and incidental damages are not covered.
The warranty period is one year from the original purchase date for both residential and commercial use. Warranty claims require proof of purchase and relevant details to be submitted to American Standard for processing.

American Standard warrants its fittings (such as faucets and showers) to be free from material and workmanship defects. For residential use, the finish is covered by a limited lifetime warranty, while electronic components, PWRX® Long-Life Power Pack, and electronic valves are covered for five years. Commercial use has a five-year warranty for all components. This warranty is only valid for the original purchaser or first property owner when purchased by a contractor.
The warranty covers repair or replacement of defective products but excludes damage from improper maintenance, installation, use of non-genuine parts, shipment issues, and natural disasters. It also does not cover labor costs, local code compliance, or damage from Acts of God. The warranty is void if the product is moved, improperly maintained, or modified, or if it was purchased from an unauthorized seller. Batteries are not included in electronic components’ coverage.
The warranty duration varies by product type and usage. Residential fittings have a limited lifetime warranty on the finish, and five years for electronic parts, while commercial installations have a five-year warranty. This warranty is extended to the original non-commercial owner and does not extend to products previously used as display models or products that have been modified or repaired by anyone else but American Standard unless approved by American Standard. American Standard premium acrylic walk-in baths come with a fifteen (15) year warranty on the bathtub, ten (10) year warranty on the tub components and a Lifetime Warranty on the door seal for as long as the original non-commercial owner owns the product, measured from the date of initial purchase. American Standard walk-in baths constructed of hi-gloss gelcoat construction come with a ten (10) year warranty on the bathtub, five (5) year warranty on the tub components and a Lifetime Warranty on the door seal for as long as the original non-commercial owner owns the product, measured from the date of initial purchase. This warranty is non-transferable to subsequent purchasers or owners. The sole exception to the non-transferability of this warranty is that if this product is purchased by a plumber, contractor or other service provider, this warranty extends to the first property owner on whose behalf the product was purchased for installation. For this warranty to become effective, the warranty registration process must be completed via the internet or telephone per the warranty registration instructions.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
This warranty does not cover deterioration through normal wear and tear and the expense of normal maintenance.
Because American Standard cannot control the quality of products sold by unauthorized sellers, this warranty applies only to American Standard products which were purchased from American Standard or an American Standard authorized seller, unless otherwise prohibited by law. American Standard reserves the right to reject warranty claims from purchasers for products purchased from unauthorized sellers, including unauthorized Internet sites.
In the event of a defect in the material or workmanship of a product, defective products will be repaired or replaced. American Standard shall not be liable for the expense of removing defective products or installing replacement products or the expense of adjoining components such as tile, marble, wall panels, ceilings etc. No liability shall exist for incidental or consequential damages caused in whole or part by any defect in this product. Some States or Provinces do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. No warranty, expressed or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, shall apply after the warranty period described above. Some States or Provinces do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so this limitation may not apply to you. This warranty does not cover defects or damage caused by the common carrier or installer from, without limitation, any of the following: careless handling, lifting bathtubs by the piping, modification of the product for any reason, improper installation (including installation not in accordance with instructions provided with the unit), and acts of God.
RETURN POLICY
American Standard is committed to providing premium customer service. In the event that a product must be returned due to reasons other than defects, as mentioned in the warranty, the following procedures apply: Requests for returns and/or exchanges must be made within 30 days of receipt of product. The product must be in its original packaging and received at American Standard in saleable condition. All returns will receive a 15% restocking fee plus all freight costs of the original shipment and return shipment to American Standard. All requests for return must first be approved by American Standard and have an assigned Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA#).This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State or Province to Province.
