We just got windows and doors from Appleby. I wish all companies were like this one. There was never any pressure to get anything we didn't want. Every person we dealt with was so nice, professional, and helpful. The installers were absolutely amazing. Everything was installed perfectly. They kept everything clean...their work area and their mouths. I never heard one curse word. I love our new windows and doors. With all the frigid temps right now, our house is nice and warm. I highly recommend this company.

Our installer was spot on !!!! He was so pleasant and I noticed how he measured several times before cutting anything. Very polite and neat and clean. New windows were a major selling point for me as a homebuyer. Unfortunately, my experience with Appleby has been awful.
Several windows were not installed correctly, including improper fit, excessive spray foam used to fill gaps, no vapor barrier installed, and caulking over the weep holes. This led to water intrusion and water damage, including mold.
I contacted Appleby immediately once water reached my lower level. A few days later, Bob, the construction superintendent, came out to inspect the windows. During that visit, he stated that the windows were not installed correctly and pointed out multiple installation issues. He indicated the windows would need to be reinstalled properly and mentioned checking the remaining windows as well, which did not occur. After observing visible mold, he stated it could be treated with a mold spray and suggested I remove the affected panel myself.
I was concerned about long-term damage and the risk of mold returning, along with mold exposure given my health issues, so after not hearing from them timely, I decided to call again and ask for their insurance information to save time and avoid further headaches. Once insurance was involved, everything changed. They allegedly told their insurance company that they never spoke with me, and allegedly stated that they never admitted the windows were installed wrong. Then, any time I called in, I felt that I was treated very poorly. I still have mold in my home, even though this happened months ago. I have had health issues the last few months, and overall this has been a nightmare and incredibly devastating to a small family like mine. All I wanted was their mistakes corrected, but that did not happen. You’d think a smaller company would want to do the right thing for their customers.
My advice: hire a window company that actually knows what they are doing. This situation has been extremely unfair and Appleby customer service has been a huge disappointment.

Bought a picture window about 3 months ago. After I stallation, noticed scratch inside between glass panes. Had rep stop almost 2 months ago. He said glass panes would be replaced. STILL NO REPLACEMENT. They talk a good talk, but service SUCKS. Would never recommend .
Just talked with Appleby. They admit to dropping the ball on this one. They say they will replace the whole window. May all work out well.

I recently had my back door and entryway replaced by Appleby Systems. When the salesman came to visit me, he was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to explain all of the details involved with the installation and the financing. And he gave me a good deal!
When the installation crew showed up they were on time and proceeded to do a fantastic job. That included removing the old door and entryway, installing the new framework and doors, and cleaning up. They were efficient and skillful.
Overall I was very pleased with the experience.
One recommendation - don’t make the same mistake that I made and have this work done on one of the coldest days in February. Yikes, it was cold! But seriously, the crew and I handled it just fine. No complaints.

We had lived with our avocado bath and shower long enough ! Someone from Appleby Systems came to our home and explained what they could do to update our bath. The salesman was very knowledgeable about the product, company, and time frame for this to happen. When the day arrived for our new white bath and shower combo, the installer couldn't have been any better ! He was pleasant and professional and patient while I made decisions about where to place shelves, etc. The new shower / tub combo is wonderful !

My house dates to 1949 and it had the original windows and storm windows. Waviness in the glass was noticeable in some of them from age. The new Appleby windows are triple pane with full screens. The interior panes are cooler in direct sunlight as demonstrated by the salesman and the house is noticeably cooler this summer. The installers (team of two) removed the 12 old windows and installed the new in one day and they were able to retain the original interior wood framing as I requested. Clean-up was good, interior and exterior sealing was good, ease of opening and closing is good. No complaints. Well done.

My best decision was to go to the February Home Show at the York Fair. I was contacted by Appleby’s and received a thorough in home demonstration. I was impressed with the quality of the windows presented and the story of the owner wanting to create the best made window possible.
They are amazing windows! I had 2 separate installations. One for the first floor windows (5 windows) and a separate installation for the remaining windows throughout the house(8 windows). I live in an older 1930’s home. The windows were original to the home and had a lot of rot and were very drafty. I could feel a difference immediately after the first install ( noise reduction from traffic, cold air drafts and outside smells were eliminated). When I was offered a deal on additional windows I was happy to get a quote on them and was just as pleased with the efficient install and removal of our old windows.
I was offered another deal on our 3 exterior doors. The doors were beginning to swell and you had to push your body against them to close them. By using the repeat customer deal, I decided to replace the old entry doors with 2-toned half-lite entry doors. The doors are beautiful and are no longer a struggle to open and close. The installation crew members were the same staff for each install and were very professional. They did a great job and they cleaned up after the installation.

My wife and I contracted Appleby Systems to install a new exterior front door on our home. The wait time for the door to be manufactured to our requirements took less time than quoted and Appleby delayed our installation by our request to when the the weather was a little warmer. The whole job of removing the storm door, taking out the old door, installing the new door and replacing the storm door took less than 8 hours. The door looks great. After the installation technician left for the day we noticed that the storm door would not latch closed. We called Appleby and they scheduled the tech back out a few weeks later to make the needed adjustments to the storm door and it works fine now. A pleasant experience from start to finish.
