Technician went to his track, filled hand sprayer with chemicals and spray unit from outside, never open top cover, didn’t vacuum inside of the unit and have sprayed unit with my water hose, using my water. All that job took him a 25 minutes. Next day I have called service manager and asked to send someone to vacuum inside. They did it next day. After checking second unit, technician has informed me that unit was low on refrigerant . He filled it with freon and dye.And have charged me $400 . He has told me to call ARS in one week and ask for technician to check where leak is. Week later another technician came and checked unit.out, then asked me to put special glasses on and look at evaporator coil. He has pointed out on a few yellow spots and concluded that evaporator coil needs to be replaced.
Next day I have called ARS and ask them for the estimate on coil replacement. Company has never called me back.I have decided to get a second opinion. Called different company. Technician has checked evaporator coil and his detector never went off.
But it went off when he had checked refrigerant filling valves outside. He has replaced two valves and unit is working one year later. I have decided to wait one year before leave that review. Another company has serviced my unit three months ago. Unit is fine, no need to add refrigerant. When I have asked that technician how much would he charge for condenser coil cleaning. He said $150 .
So I would not recommend ARS of Laurel to anyone, and never will use their services again.
