Please do not waste your time, money, or energy on this company.
My experience with ARW has been incredibly frustrating from start to finish. If you use your own technician, they will not reimburse the full amount. If you wait for their technicians, they schedule repair appointments with little to no notice — resulting in missed appointments and more inconvenience.
Six different technicians came out to fix my ice maker. SIX. The unit was replaced twice, along with the control panel. After months of wasted time and energy, the actual issue was finally identified and resolved by the manufacturer (GE) in a single visit.
To make matters worse, one of ARW’s technicians filed a false report claiming that I yelled at them — which is completely untrue. As a result, I was told I would need to find my own technicians moving forward.
When I attempted to cancel my policy, I was told I couldn’t because the claim was still open. My only options were to continue paying or pay an early termination fee. After explaining the situation to my bank, they issued a stop payment. Suddenly, after months of unanswered calls, ARW became very responsive — repeatedly contacting me to collect payment.
When my bank denied the payments, ARW even changed the payment amount in an attempt to push through a lesser charge. My banker was shocked by the tactics.
I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere.

Karen was very polite and did an excellent job in taking my new debit information since my
old debit card had been compromised. I've been with this company for several years and must say it's well worth it because the times I've had something gone wrong with my electronics they have did a great job on response and speedy turnaround.

If anyone wants to do business with this company, be VERY cautious. After talking to a rep, I was informed that this is an automatic renewal with no prior notification. They are so STUPID as what they were insuring is a POST OFFICE BOX!! I was informed that if I did not pay them $105 NOW, I would be turned over to a collection agency & reported to the credit bureaus. DOES GREED CROSS YOUR MIND YET?? Needless to say, I do not scare easily. As of this writing, I am awaiting the collection company to call me. Gonna be interesting! ANYONE who has a problem with these people are invited to post along here. It will be really interesting!! GOOD DAY YA'LL

I only wish I could write a zero
I only wish I could write a zero. Please review all of the One stars before you consider purchasing this. They are right on track with their evaluations. I was scammed by this company as I ordered the plan for “everything covered to the max” and they don’t want to pay anything. My last issue was with the ceiling fan and they agreed to pay $300 toward the fan and labor which won’t even cover the fan portion. They won’t pay that until I have it fixed and send them a receipt that they will approve or disapprove.I also had a large deductible so I wouldn’t even get $200 for a fan and labor. Again, They refused to give me the $300 that they claim is the max I can receive on a ceiling fan until I pay for a ceiling fan and labor. The staff is very nice and they will do anything as far as sweet talking and giving excuses for not paying like it’s my fault, but when it comes to paying or guaranteeing their product they do NOT!!! They have a lot of loopholes to get out of paying and they use every one of them. If you read the fine print and don’t really need anything fixed that cost any money or that doesn’t break their way, you might make it with them. I know that they have to satisfy some customers to stay in business, but don’t count on this company. It probably won’t be you that they take care of. They may actually pay for their good reviews. It is definitely in your best interest is to STAY AWAY FROM THE CONS!!! I have other properties with American Home shield and I had luck with another warranty company purchased by a realtor that was very good. This company ARW and Choice are the only ones I recommend staying far away from. I also had trouble with them on a dryer repair. The max compensation isn’t enough to cover anything and they know it and that’s what they thrive on. This mess with the ceiling fan has been going on for months, and I requested an electrician for my ceiling fan that was not working and no electrician was sent. This company is all about them and not the customer. I hope word spreads and people don’t get into what I am going through. They refuse to give me the recordings for where I ordered the plan I trusted I was getting but in an excuse to not pay, they expected me to know every little detail in the plan making it my fault that they are not paying. I had no idea what would break when I purchased the plan and unfortunately I trusted this company. I only knew that I purchased the policy with everything covered. I’m sure they will give an excuse on this review, but I am going to go ahead and file suit because they did me wrong. If anyone else would like to join in, please let me know. Donna P Stigall

ARW (American Residential Warranty) is the absolute worst home warranty company on the planet! Their customer service is limited to taking a service request from me and sending it to their dispatch department to assign it to one of the repair companies in the area. After that, you are 100% on your own. I've used them at least 3 times in the past couple of years always forgetting how painful the previous experience was. When calling customer service this time regarding our family's clothes washer repair needed, they said it would take 24-48 hours to get a call back from the repair company, but I could call them in 2 hours myself to set up an appointment time. I did that and was given a repair date 4 days out. I called ARW to see if I could possibly get a sooner appointment. They said that the only way that they could check if another service provider could give me an earlier appointment time was to cancel the existing appointment. When I told them that didn't make any logical sense because if they couldn't find an earlier date, I would lose my existing appointment. They said that was the only option other than me finding a repair company, paying for the repair, and submitting a claim for reimbursement. Are you kidding me? I'm to trust ARW to reimburse me? The reason that getting an earlier appointment time is so important is that on "all" of my previous appliance requests, the initial repair technicians visit has only been to diagnose the problem. The repair facility now has to always order the part since they don't carry any parts. That usually takes another week at a minimum to do. There is No ARW customer service involvement to try to expedite the process. It has also been an impossible effort when requesting to speak to an ARW Supervisor. Not to mention that they charge a $125 service charge to start the claim and cap each appliance maximum at $500. I sincerely would never recommend using ARW but doubt that this Google review will ever see the light of day of a call back from ARW "Management". REPLY TO ARW HOME (Owner) reply "6 days ago": Your assigned repair company Technician from XPERT did show up on December 5th (last Friday). He diagnosed the problem with our washer in literally less than 1 minute since it was an obvious issue to him. He said that he would be expeditiously sending the required parts to the office to order. I asked him how long he thought that the parts would take to get in. He said they should be in by the upcoming Wednesday. I thought that it would be a good idea to follow up with XPERT on Wednesday and just got off the phone with them. They said that they were waiting on ARW's repair approval which I saw in an email that came in on Tuesday. When I asked XPERT how long it will take for the parts to come in, they said from 5-7 days. This doesn't mean that the Technician will be scheduled to come to our house in 5-7 days. It just means that the parts have arrived. Your response said that Holiday season demand does impact scheduling. All our family knows is that this washer repair is most likely going to take at least a month to handle. Also, you said that the previous claim was fully resolved. The part that you left off was that our dishwasher repair also took at least a month to resolve with ARW saying that it would cost us more than they would cover. It wasn't due to ARW's superior service. You would think that this could have been handled so much more efficiently but ARW customer service has no control or support that they offer to talk with their assigned repair company. All we want is for our washer repair to be completed in a reasonable timeframe. I think that it would be helpful for your website to say that repairs will take a minimum of a month to complete if parts are needed (which they most always are). To ARW: Please don't reply with "we're following the rules of the contract" or "you can find a repair company on your own and we will gladly reimburse you". It would be great if you just tried to seriously help move the process along for your customer's satisfaction.

We have used home warranty over the years and have settled on ARW. The sales end is great, the claims can sometimes take some time but in the end we have peace of mind. I especially loved working with Angel who knew my plan, suggested much needed upgrades and did it all professionally and with grace. Great job, ARW. Also love the specials!
