Just wanted to give a huge shout-out to the crew at Best Exteriors here in Sac. I’m usually pretty skeptical about hiring contractors because, let’s be honest, it can be a headache, but these guys actually nailed it.

The crew showed up when they said they would (rare these days) and knocked the window install out without leaving a huge mess behind. The windows look great, but the biggest thing for me was their warranty. I read through the fine print and they really stand behind their stuff. It’s a huge relief knowing if something goes sideways down the road, I’m not gonna get ghosted.

If you’re looking to get your windows done and don’t want to deal with a bunch of corporate BS, just call these guys. They’re solid.

Awesome experience. We recently had our windows replaced and honestly the whole process went really well. Eric was the one who helped us out, and what we appreciated most was that he didn’t rush us or push one specific brand. He took the time to show us different options like Ply Gem, Andersen, and a few others, and explained everything in a way that actually made sense.

After looking at everything, we decided on Anlin Del Mar windows, and Anlin really stood out to us. The windows feel solid and well made, the frames are thick, and the insulation is noticeably better than our old windows. The low-E glass has helped keep the house more comfortable, and we could tell right away that outside noise was reduced. They also open and close super smoothly and just look really nice overall.

Eric was easy to work with, answered all our questions, and stayed in touch throughout the process. The install went smoothly and the end result completely changed the feel of our home. Sorry for the very long review, but we truly recommend this company to anyone thinking about replacing their windows.

This was a referral from a friend who had James Hardie board and batten installed on his home and loves it. He gave me Alex's number, and I am so glad he did! my home now has the same style, and I am IN LOVE with how it looks as well. Honest long(ish) review of Best Exteriors.

Courteous. Responsive. Attentive. Knowledgeable of the products and systems of siding and window installation. Fairest pricing.

I’m in construction, I know and understand the process of how to install Hardie products. But installing waterproofing and siding on a short timeline is something I couldn’t do on my own.

I needed three quarters of my house resided to meet with a previously sided portion, take off incorrectly installed Hardie board to shearwall and install a window, tear off my old leaky gutters, soffit, and fascia to replace with Hardie soffit and add new gutters and downspouts, all of which required significant demolition.

Alex, the estimator and maybe one of the owners, arrived on time for our walkthru and quickly understood what I needed done, took measurements, listened to my issues, asked pertinent questions, and I received his quote later that day. I probably got a discounted rate because I had more than just siding work for them. He did not try to get me to sign right then and there, which is a sales tactic some shops employ. Smart folks should always get at least three bids, I called twelve shops, got seven estimates.

Only one other company was willing to do every thing I needed and Alex managed to price below what some shops were asking for just doing the siding portion of work. I asked his crew how their pay was and they were happy working for the company and compensated well. Quote price - time and materials cost = the margin for profit, and by the look of some bids I’d received, a couple of shops out there might just be hoping nobody is getting more than one estimate…

I was leaving town for a week and they were flexible on fitting me into a schedule that worked for me. On a job this size it’s better if you can be present to see progress on a daily basis to catch things that are awry. I did find a couple of things I didn’t like, purely aesthetic, not at all incorrect in installation, that would have bothered me if I hadn’t caught them and were quickly fixed and confirmed to be to my liking before moving forward.

Their two leads I dealt with, Andre and Ruben, and the rest of the crew, were friendly, prompt, and excellent in communication and work, from demo to finish. Andre pointed out that a window I was providing for installation was the wrong orientation way ahead of time for me to remedy the problem, and I’ve seen a lot of improperly installed windows in my day, so thank you for being a professional Andre! They even replaced some cut and damaged window screens that happened during the demolition I had seen but never told them about. I asked for and they left me with spare paint and color matching caulk if I needed to alter something or if touch ups were needed as well.

The worst thing that they did? Killed a vine that was so small they probably didn’t realize it was there. And maybe they left a little more dust left behind than I would have liked. These aren’t actual complaints, the construction process is a rough one that will take some kind of toll, everybody who gets work done on their home should understand this. Had I actually voiced complaint, I am positive they would have jumped to take care of it, but so happy was I with the job they did, I didn’t bother. I’m sure I am forgetting stuff, but I want to illustrate a true and realistic picture of my experience, and that working with Best Exteriors was far beyond my expectations.

I would highly recommend Best Exteriors for anyone wanting to replace any type of window. Eric and his team came out and did an exception job on replacing 8 windows and two sliding doors for our home. We had multiple companies come out and quote us for the job but Eric was able to beat their prices by a couple thousand dollars and with better quality windows.

Besides the amazing prices, Eric and his team were able to get the job done all in 1 day!

I cannot express enough how impressed I am with Best Exteriors. Interactions were always professional. Super easy to work with. The installers finished in one day (13 windows), and were also very professional and worked steadily and as quietly as they could (it is construction after all). Best Exteriors has earned my business for any applicable future work. I highly recommend.

I have great experience with them. They did the siding for one of my properties (James Hardie) and a window replacement. They did a great job. The job took a little longer than I expected. It was not their fault. The delay resulted from waiting for the city permit and inspection (Oakland).
I am greatly appreciated for Jacob being very direct at the beginning informing me off possible delay.
Pro:
1. Price and everything was stated in front (including possible delay in permit and inspection) before the contact were signed.
2. The crew was friendly and did professional job. They pride in their work and paid attention to details
Con:
1. A little delay in the project completed. This is not their fault because the delay was the result of permit and inspection waiting.

I would definitely use them again if I ever need siding or windows in any of my properties.

Alex and his team did a replacement of the siding on our garage in Oakland. They also installed a couple of windows and a door, and replaced some rotten framing. All the work was top notch, good attention to detail, good communication and price, no downsides. I totally recommend him.
