Homeowner Reviews
AI Review Snapshot

Empire Today LLC delivers generally positive experiences with knowledgeable sales and professional installation, but reviews are mixed due to warranty disputes, misrepresentation, delays, and inconsistent customer service.
Overall, homeowners frequently praise Empire Today for knowledgeable sales staff and professional installation, with many noting punctual arrivals, courteous service, and tidy work. The quality of final results is often described as strong when sales and installation align, and customers applaud the broad product selection and clear explanations. However, substantial concerns recur about warranty handling and post-install support, including claims of warranty denial, parts or repairs not honored, and slow or limited responsiveness. Several reviews report pricing disagreements, lack of written estimates, and miscommunication around timelines. The mix of strong front-end service and inconsistent follow-through yields a cautious overall assessment: capable but with serious warranty and service risks.

The experience was outstanding from the estimate to the completion of the installation. Charles Caldwell was great and Vladimir and his crew did an excellent job on the installation. Their attention to detail was commendable and the finished product exceeded our expectations. We will recommend this team to anyone! Thank you for helping us with our flooring!

Floor was scratched due to accidental damage and they said they didn’t cover that type of accidental damage since I drop something while moving it, this company is full of snake like tactics to get out of repairing things. Go with any other floor brand

know not to ask people to sign papers for work that isn't finished. The contractor should also ask permission before they get too comfortable in a client's bathroom. None of them asked to sit on our toilets and handle their business. That is very unprofessional of them.
We repeatedly tried to reach Tim the salesman to resolve the issue. When he finally returned our call, there was no sense of urgency, despite the inconvenience we were dealing with.
What’s most frustrating is the lack of accountability. Instead of owning the mistake and trying to make things right, Tim attempted to shift blame. This situation exists solely because of improper measuring and poor follow-up.
I now understand why Empire has so many low ratings. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Update: they replied below to say "reach out to them". We've done that repeatedly. They deprioritized completing our project to go out on new projects. We are having to wait at least until Saturday until they send a team out to finish the job. First they told us Wednesday. On Wednesday they pushed it back until Saturday. We have no idea if they will show up or not. So I will keep posting reviews until they show up.
Update 2: Empire came back and finished the floor 5 days later on a Saturday. On Monday morning, we received a Completion Receipt that had my wife's name and someone else's signature. They forged her signature on the receipt. I don't know why they wouldn't just have us sign it themselves. These guys have absolutely no integrity. AVOID BY ALL COSTS

Dishonest company, salesman Brent Blazquez Jauregui, came out gave us an estimate for over-$10 K , said he will email it to us , he never did, we called several times and the customer service said they will inform him , still no estimate. He wanted to know how we made our money, what kind of car we drive, he was asking about a painting if it’s expensive, then Brent got angry when he realized we were video taping him and had cameras, he wanted us to turn off our cameras, we said NO, he said he have rights in our house, never turned off your cameras for strangers, always video with phone or cameras .SCAM AND FRAUDULENT COMPANY

We paid over $10k for LVP flooring in our house. Not even 9 months later, one of the planks began to rot up against the wall. After painfully requesting a rep come out and review the rotting plank, it took several weeks before they finally returned with a response. They were NOT going to honor the warranty and repair the damage, claiming that our 17 year old arthritic dog, who can barely hold himself up, must have clawed at the plank, destroying it. Absolutely despicable customer service and a complete violation of the warranty. I'd give them zero stars if that were an option; do yourself a favor and find another flooring company.

Spent over $10,000 on carpet that was sold as “high quality” and superior to our existing flooring. It was thin, flimsy, and looked dirty immediately. Installation was rushed and improper: bumps everywhere, jagged transitions, and visible defects on stairs.
Installers left staples in the carpet while I had a crawling baby and toddler — a serious safety issue. Empire’s own inspection flagged all problems, but repairs were only partially done because they “ran out of carpet.”
Two years later the carpet is worse. Scheduled a re-stretching appointment, waited all day, and no one showed up. Minimal apology, just asked to reschedule.
Worst $10,000 I’ve ever spent. Misleading sales, unsafe installation, and zero accountability. Go local.

Curt Johnson with Empire Today provided a wonderful in-home visit and sales consultation. He was professional, friendly, and very accommodating from start to finish. We had a great conversation, and he helped us choose a hardwood option that truly fits our needs. Curt explained the installation process in clear, easy-to-understand terms, which made us feel confident and comfortable moving forward. We really appreciated him taking the time to meet with us, and we can’t wait for our flooring installation in two weeks!
