Five Star Bath Solutions of Plano

We have never written a review for anyone before and we have always done our homework when choosing a home remodeling and repair company. I had to this time because this company and their employees deserve more than 5 stars! They were on time, respectful, took all of needs and questions and showed us ways to save money, since we are in our late 60's and retired. Johnny Romero came out first and showed us their products and always answered right away when we called with questions. Juan and Alex did a phenomenal job on installing our tub to shower remodel. No mess. Everything covered up where I didn't even need to dust after. Got here around 9 and was done by 4. UNREAL nowadays !!! My floors did not need moping after they left. I did not expect that. We most definitely recommend them and are ecstatic with the end result. Thank you guys for everything you did for us ❤️

Not quite a 5-star experience

I so badly wish I could give 5 stars. Although I'm very pleased with the work that was completed at my rental home, there are some noteworthy issues:
➖⭐ Communication was great during the consult, purchase, & measurement steps. After that, crickets. There was no communication during the demo or install. Worse still has been the nearly non-responsiveness to address...
➖⭐ an accessory (corner shelf) not installed and...
➖⭐ A broken window. Accidents happen; I get that, but... The installer didn't communicate with me. The office has been very slow to respond to my requests for updates. So, my tenant had to weather a severe winter storm with a cracked window.

UPDATE:
➖⭐ After 3.5 weeks, the corner shelf and broken window were addressed. Things finally moved (quickly) after my husband left an honest review. The owners were very quick to reach out, asked me to remove the review, and explained that the review was "damaging to their image". I explained that I had been waiting and hoping to leave a positive review once the work was done. Either way, I committed to leave an honest review for future customers. (I had even hoped to have them do the bathrooms in my primary residence.) After 2.5 more weeks, during which time life got busy and I forgot, they asked me to remove/update the review... Only 2 days later, they're asking again... So it's okay to harass me about a review, but respond for up to 6 days each time I called/texted asking for a status update??? NOPE

Yeah...not a 5-star experience

We had them remodel two bathrooms in one of our homes. The remodels themselves are fine, minus incomplete work and the window they broke (more below).

However, their communication is AWFUL. You are just a transaction to them. Of course, they are there and willing to listen before the work starts while they sell you something. But scheduling and install communication was non-existent or one-way on their terms.

The contractors (sub-contractors?) showed up when they wanted. When they had questions about choices they asked our tenants instead of contacting us directly, despite us making it very clear we were the decision makers. They told us they would come back to install the final corner shelf that was missing or forgotten (don't know the story because communication). They even tried having our tenants sign off on the work even though it wasn't completed.

Above all, what upsets me most is that they broke one of our bathroom windows. The contractor tried to sidestep it and blameshift by making statements about not having before pictures to compare and know if it was broken prior. He said he would "call his boss" and they would call us back, but WE have had to call THEM multiple times only to be told "someone" would call us back eventually to get it sorted out.

Three weeks went by and our tenants had to weather the 2026 severe winter storm with a broken window. They collected their final payment and I don't expect to hear back from them at this point (though they may be hearing my credit card company about reversing that payment soon).

If you're looking for a contractor who has a shred of integrity, ownership, and trustworthiness then keep looking.

I can't say enough good things about this company from the initial consultation to the finished project. They were very professional, courteous, and prompt. The job was finished two weeks ahead of schedule and it looks fantastic. We had a tub to walk in shower in one bath and tub replacement in the other with new walls and hardware and we love it. I would highly recommend them.

We’ve actually worked with Five Star Bath Solutions before on a bathroom in the past and this year we felt our other bathroom needed an upgrade as well. We were assigned Brandon and Tyler from Colorado and both of them did a fantastic job on our bathroom. We asked to have our floor replaced, raise the ceiling above the shower, entire shower area changed and also to help set up a new vanity. From the start they were very professional and courteous. They knew exactly what to do and got it done in a satisfying timeframe.

We are so glad we chose Five Star Bath Solutions for our new walk in shower and bathroom remodel. Catherine and Alicia were so nice and helpful. And we just can't say enough good things about our installer, Noah. He was courteous, professional, and a very hard worker. He went above and beyond, did a wonderful job and was very patient with all our questions. We love our new shower and bathroom - it is perfect!!

These guys are very professional. Not only did they install my shower in less than 8 hours, they left the work area clean and in order like it was before installation. Juan, the installer, and his assistant Alex, were great ambassador's for their company. Both were very efficient and professional. Their work was superb. I highly recommend this company, Juan, and Alex. You will not be disappointed in their professionalism and work. Excellent guys thank you so much for the beautiful job you did.

The installers did a great job but changed the contract without consulting us. They gave us a stepup shower floor but we paid for a walkin shower floor that was $5000 more. We asked to talk with the boss but never received a call back and never given their phone number. They changed the placement of the shower door but the glass installer listened to us and changed it back to what we wanted. The floor installer told us he would build us a ramp but it did not meet ADA standards so we refused it. We again asked to talk to finance but they went ahead and charged us the entire amount. I finally got through to their office and they said their only offer was to refund us $2000. That is a $3000 difference and I did not want to go to court so that is why the low rating.

I highly recommend Five Star Bath Solutions of Plano. We had a bath to shower conversion and couldn't be more pleased. From the initial in home consultation to the installation, everyone was fabulous to work with. Noah and Brandon did a terrific job with the install, were professional and friendly, and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day. Noah vacuumed from the front door to the bathroom. If I decide to have the second bathroom redone, I know who I'm calling.

Installer (Juan) was incredible. Our primary residence is in Shreveport so we trusted Five Star with keypad for entry at condo in Dallas . Never actually met Juan. However, he communicated beautifully by phone with text and photos at each step. Condo was left spotless as we left it and all debris hauled away properly. Feel like I made a new friend via phone. Highly recommend this company!
