Florida Window and Door

I gave a 2 because the windows themselves are good. The installation was terrible and they did nothing about it but shine me on even after I had everything documented stating my concerns from the day of install. They send out a QC guy who says the windows are fine without opening 1 single window. Our concern was the windows weren’t all square because they used 2” sloppy caulk everywhere and I had pictures of significant gaps. 5 windows needed new rails-not a big deal, but couple that with their crew coming out and having to square a window that I was told was square was alarming. Then some more pieces were on back order and they came back, I voiced the same concerns and they said well, they’re outside contractors, you just need to paint your house. You giving me 10-15k to paint my house because of the sloppy work? (The contractors had mortar running down the entire front of my house), which was fixable at the time but they didn’t clean up so they painted it dark brown which is worse than mortar that never should have happened. To boot: They left glass everywhere. I picked up glass for 3 weeks vacuuming everyday to not get glass in our feet and did the same outside. The sales guy sold us on grids for the windows as our previous ones had grids on the inside. Well 800.00 more and one significant detail he left out, the grids are on the outside! Like what?! I wouldn’t have paid more if I knew that. Try cleaning that. They keep sending me emails saying that they’re glad I was satisfied with their service after we spoke. We didn’t speak, nor do they take your feedback seriously. I’m wholeheartedly disappointed with the experience and should have gone with another company and listened to the reviews. These windows should add value not depreciate my home. Heres a couple pics that really don’t do this all justice but pretty sure that’s not the experience anyone is looking for.

Updated, they replied and said to call and request to speak to management and the service manager wouldn't patch me through to any manager and I went through the entire series of issues but she insisted I needed to schedule a service rather than speak to a manager, she would not connect me. to a manager either I'm at an utter loss but further evidence on the failure at this place.

Pretty disappointed so far.
I was told it was your factory and your employees that did all the installation. Seems neither is true, as you had subcontractors install our windows. We ordered 5 windows, 4 were correct size, however our main window in our living room was the wrong size… But first, your installers took out our front window before noticing the size difference was severely wrong… Took 4 months to get to an oops!. And now we have this lovely look while we wait for your mistake.. We have plywood covering our main window in the front and center of our home. Looks like an abandoned house. I have many other doors and windows to be done as our construction project is not completed. I'm pretty sure you won't be getting the balance of the work. Depends on how you handle this mistake… Super disappointed to say the least.

My experience with Florida Window & Door was wonderful.
I was able to keep track of the process in the app, and Fabrice from the install & service department called me to schedule installation date once The installation guys were super courteous, professional, and kind. I highly recommend the team at Florida Window & Doors.

Did a great honest job...love the last time they worked here so we hired them again..love this company
Edit: Watch out for FHIA...their salesperson used to work for Florida Window and Doors...she misrepresented herself and we almost got scammed. FHIA did the right thing and cancelled the contract!!

They will tell you what you want to hear. Once your windows are installed they ghost you. It not only took them 8 months to start to install my windows, then two of the windows were broken. It took another two months to get them installed.

A year later one of the windows cracked. It took six months for them to replace it.

I have another window that needs to be replaced. It’s been a month and I still don’t have an estimate. My service person needs to send an email to the parts department. The service department sends an email to the manufacturer. No one actually care that I have a HUGE crack in my window that leaks all over when it rains.

They are all talk and zero action. I have sent several emails to managers and the owner. I got a response once, so I know I have the correct email, but they just gave me empty promises. DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. I COMPLETELY REGRET EVER HAVING ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY.

Although the installers arrived 3 1/2 hr late the first day and late the next two days as well, they were friendly and worked hard well after dark.

We were told it was a two day installation and had plans long in advance for day 3. Our company was disappointed that we all couldn’t enjoy the excursion.

The windows seem very nice. They noticeably keep the room in the hot afternoon sun much cooler. Sadly the caulking is not very good nor was the window washing… only took a few pictures of many.

I would not recommend using Window & Door. They subcontracted the work, and the quality is very poor. The new roof shingles we recently installed were damaged by the concrete/stucco used during the window repairs. We now need to figure out how to color match and paint around these second-story windows, which are not easily accessible. We continue to discover additional issues and damage caused by this crew. If possible, I would rate them zero stars.
We will be using another window company in the future when we replace the remaining windows in our home.

I’m In HEAVEN. Contracted with Florida Windows And doors really loved their product. I had been interviewing quite a few window companies and their product was stand out and stand up. The price was excellent. The product was excellent. The installation was excellent to follow up was excellent. I could not be happier. My windows are beautiful and my house is 100% cooler at the same temperature just due to my new window installation. I can literally put my thermostat to 77 or 78 and it feels like it’s 72 in the house: it’s amazing. This is definitely the company you want to reach out to for your new window installations. As soon as we’re ready we’re going to have them install new sliding glass doors for us. I cannot encourage you enough to hire this company.
