Once again, Kurtis Kitchen & Bath (Clarkston) EXCEEDED our expectations. After an incredible experience 2 years ago with the complete remodel of our en-suite bathroom, we chose to remodel our kitchen this spring working with Kurtis. Kitchen remodels can be stressful, the whole team made it as easy as it could be. Adrian’s design is beautiful and gave us so much more space. He is wonderful to work with and helped us create a kitchen that is beyond anything we could have imagined! We loved working with Eric (our contractor) and his whole team. Their work is impeccable, with such attention to the smallest detail. They were always in communication with me thru the project and always courteous, kind and professional. It was so exciting to see such progress and watch it all come together. Jena, our project manager, was so helpful if we had a question. She was great at checking in just to make sure everything was going well. I can’t believe how quickly and smoothly the whole project went, but I know it’s because we trusted it to the same team as last time and we’re glad we did. I would 100% recommend Kurtis Kitchen and Bath to anyone!!!

Kurtis was founded by Louis Kuretzky in 1968 and operated from a single location in Warren, Michigan, as a wholesaler of countertops and stock kitchen bath cabinets. In 1971, Kurtis opened its first retail showroom in Detroit with the revolutionary concept of providing on-site inventory to service do-it-yourself clients and small contractors. Kurtis has since grown this business model to 4 locations in southeastern Michigan and a larger warehouse and distribution facility in Livonia.

All the workers were very friendly and knowledgeable about all there jobs they did in our kitchen. Took everything down to the studs.

Jeff, Shanna and team delivered an unbelievable master bath remodel that matched my wife’s plan perfectly. David and his brother, the tile guys, and Ricky’s electrical work were above expectations. Timing slipped a bit at end but I would still use them again and recommend them for your project.
Our first contractor (Chris) who they sent was great, informative, and always showed us his work before cleaning up and leaving for the day. He would explain what was next and asked us questions instead of assuming how/where we wanted things. For some reason Chris was never sent back out to finish the job and the rest of the crew did the absolute minimum. I asked one of the guys to caulk around the tub after the molding was placed because kids will be splashing in the tub and he said "oh ok I can do that, I won't charge you for it" ....we had dry wall re done three times and it is still uneven and bubbly. The flooring is supposed to be easy lock in pieces and there is one area of our floor that I can place a card in and it will stand up...the project manager (Jeff) tried telling us it was just where the boards meet. He was also pretty slow at communication. My advice is look for another company or just hire your own people for each designated job. The window trim is uneven, the door trim was not fully secured and we can no longer close our bathroom door properly because of whatever shift that happened during the remodeling process.

Be aware of services if you have anything other than a small kitchen. I went with KK because they were offering free financing for 24 months but I only received 12 months. I had my cabinets painted and my doors ended up warped. They said they would replace the most damaged warped door but they never did (see pic). The paint on the cabinets started to chip in less than a month after getting painted ( see pic). Very disappointing service.
Our cabinet refacing project is finally complete 6 months later. Love the finished project but this was a complete headache of a job and regretted using Kurtis. Lack of communication from the start with their sales person, project manager and installers. Our project should have taken a week, max, to complete. Took way longer than that with them having to come back multiple times to redo crappy workmanship. I requested that a supervisor call me to discuss all of the extra days off work I had to take off due to their negligence and them keep sending out an installer I specifically said I didn’t want back and of course, no call. Thankfully I finally have a completed kitchen but I would not use them again.
Michael restored my kitchen cabinets for Kurtis Kitchen and Bath and did an excellent job. He would call each morning and tell me what time he would arrive and was here almost to the minute. He was very neat, organized, and thorough. He’s an excellent painter and restorer.
We had a great experience working with Kurtis in our kitchen renovation. While the design process started off a bit rocky - our designer’s initial plans weren’t as original or attentive to our preferences as we had hoped for - she was ultimately flexible and made the changes as requested (You want to have an exact idea of how your kitchen should look and function).
What really made the difference was Jeff, our project manager. He was outstanding - responsive and proactive in resolving any issues that came up. Thanks to his dedication and follow-through, the renovation went smoothly, and we now have our dream kitchen. We’re happy with the final result!
