Kay Boswell. We are not happy about this at all.!!!!
They are the kind of people you’d invite over for dinner. Well, not me, because I don’t invite anyone over for dinner, but if I was going to do that, I’d invite them. 🍰 LOL
They are like the stair lift Wonder Twins. 💪💪 (Wade was the sales person, Keenan was the installer)
Here's my story ~ We bought a house in the North Georgia mountains. 🏔️ Since my mother lives with us, and she’s almost 80, I thought it would be smart to get a stair lift.
I also wanted to get it because the kitchen is on the second level. I wanted to be able to send the groceries up the stair lift so I wouldn’t have to carry them up each time. (a gallon of milk is 8 frickin’ pounds!)🥛
I figured out that there are 3 main companies in the area that sell stair lifts. Acorn, HomePro Mobility and 101 Mobility. I booked appointments with all 3 of them. 🗓️
I decided against Acorn because their stair lifts are on a metal rail. In other words, they are noisy. If they aren’t noisy at first, they’ll likely become noisy over the years (based on what people have told me).
Plus, after 2 years, you have to pay Acorn $250 per year to continue the warranty. I didn’t realize these things before I booked the appointment. 🤮
So, Acorn was out.
Then, I learned that 101 Mobility is just a dealer of Bruno stair lifts. I didn’t want to be handed off to another company after the sale. That felt weird to me right off the bat. 🤢 I was looking for one company that does it all.
So, 101 Mobility was out.
🌟💫 The final company, HomePro Mobility, turned out to be the sparkly, shining star. 🌟💫
They use helical worm technology, designed by NASA. 🐛 I can tell you firsthand that there’s minimal noise. The chair literally glides up and down the stairs. It's like riding on a cloud. ⛅️
The price from Acorn and HomePro Mobility was within $100. It was a no-brainer for me.
I also like that there’s no HomePro Mobility service contract that you have to continuously pay for each year like with Acorn. Their stair lift is warrantied for your lifetime. 💯
Also, with Acorn, you have to pay $250 for a permit to have your stair lift installed. At HomePro Mobility, the company maintains a permit that applies to all their customers, so you don’t have to pay for your own individual permit. #winning
Wade wasn’t pushy at all. I reeeeally don’t like pushy sales people. Be sure to ask if there are any discounts. You can get a discount for putting a sign in your yard, writing a review, etc.
Full disclosure: They gave me a discount for posting this review. Normally I would have said no to that because I only post what my honest opinion is.
But, they didn’t request that I say anything specific about their company. They only asked that I write a review, so I accepted the discount.
Keenan was the person who came to install it. It only took him an hour. He's been installing stair lifts for a decade. He was very nice. He and Wade are both good people.
The stair lift comes with two remote controls, which is handy. We keep one upstairs and one downstairs. That way, if the stair lift is at the bottom or the top, and you want it vice versa, you can operate it without being on it.
We also use the remote control to send the groceries up when we get home from the store. We put a basket on the stair lift and pile the groceries in it. Then boooom…. the heavy groceries ride upstairs to the kitchen in style. 🌹
When Keenan installed it, he also plugged it in to keep it charged (it uses a very thin extension cord to the outlet). It’s the rail that gets charged, not the chair.
If you keep it charged, it will work for 40 times during a power outage. ⚡️ As a side note, I think it’s adorable that it comes with a seatbelt. tee hee
I can’t think of anything else to say! We are totally having fun with our stair lift. 🏆 If anything eventful happens, I’ll come back here and update this review.
If you get one, ask for Wade and Kennan, and enjoy the ride!!! 💜💚💛❤️💙🧡
addition , he is aware of the needs of his clients. He is well known not only with the technicalities with which he deals, but he has an uncanny ability to explain the technicalities which are almost always unknown to those he seeks to serve. Working with him is a sheer joy.
