I did the upper half of my house in 2018. Daniel inspected it and replaced / adjusted a few loose screws on corners. Based on the amount of storms we've had in Omaha since these were installed I'd say its worth the expense.
We were told by the sales rep that all of our gutters could be covered, and that the challenge of the high gutters on our hillside house was a good reason to go with them, the industry leader. However, when the installer arrived, we were informed that about 90 feet of gutters couldn't be covered because they were too difficult to reach. We had a coordinator come out, then installers came out about a month after our orginal install date, and again agreed to do only some of the gutters. The work they did was acceptable, but I had to find a local Portland gutter company to install the rest of the gutter covers. Everything about the experience we had with our local contractor was better than our experience with LeafFilter.
I found them on Angi thinking they were going to be a reputable company. I had to make a complaint with Angi. For the past month I have been trying to get them back out with no response from them but only when I made a complaint did, they come out to redo the job. I still had to pay someone else to finish the facia, saying they don’t paint and fill in the gaps.
1. The LeafFilter system has worked very well through two fall seasons with lots of leaves.
2. It was easy to install a new roof. The roofing contactor removed and reinstalled the LeafFilter easily, and then LeafFilter came out and did a system inspection to ensure continuity on the warranty. No problems.
Excellent system that continues to work flawlessly.
Eventually, he gave me an estimated price that was significantly higher than my budget. I told him I would get back to him, but he kept insisting and stayed seated. I politely asked him to leave, citing a meeting, but he continued to sit there and pressured me to accept the quote. It got to the point where I was seriously considering calling the authorities. The whole experience was ridiculous.
I would strongly advise against using this company. Do not let them into your home or waste your time.
What I didn’t like. They did not inspect the condition of the roof which was an older asphalt shingle roof. The older condition meant the gravel was coming off the roof and therefore was not the product that should have been recommended. Why? Because once it rained, the rain washed the gravel onto the top of the filter, blocking water from getting into the gutters. The water just poured over the gutters. Not happy. Secondly, the gravel will just fall onto the sidewalks below. This actually caused more maintenance than we had before. We also had to get back up on the ladder to rinse the filters off. We didn’t want to get on ladders any more. But here we are. It was a big mistake. Consider these scenarios before you buy.
