LeafFilter Gutter Protection

The concept behind Leaf Filter seems to be solid. I checked out 2 other gutter protection companies, and was not impressed. So I went with Leaf Filter.

The reason for the 1 star rating is because of the totally unacceptable service when I had an issue with the product.

Here is why. The first time I called and set up an appointment for a service call, it was a no-come/no-call. So I rescheduled another appointment. Again, no-come-no call. So I called again and asked to talk to a supervisor or manager. Was told it's not possible. The person on the phone would send an email to a supervisor. And, since this was a no-come/no call, it would also get sent to the regional manager(s), and someone would be calling me back.

After several days, I called back and asked for a status update for the call back. I was told it would be 3 - 5 working days. So I waited again, for 5 working days to pass. Still no call back. I repeated this for about 20 times, and no call back - ever.

I finally called the sales person and asked what I should do. He gave me a number to call, which I did. It went to the same call center as the other number that I called. So I either called or sent text msgs to him and he gave me yet another number. This one was for the local service shop, which I called. There was a voice response that told me "There is no one here to take your call right now. Please leave a message and someone will call me back". That never happened. Tried that 2 or 3 times and got the same response, which was nothing.

Finally got through to a person who set up a schedule for a service tech to come out. The tech did come out and told me that there was a problem with the gutter and/or leaf filter install. He would need to go back to the shop and talk to them about what to do about it, and someone would get back to me.

After almost 2 months, I called back and asked for a status update. A different person got on the line and told me that it was taking way too long and we should schedule another appointment right now. I did that and scheduled it for 6 days ago. But, another no-come/no-call. Again I called and was told the same thing I was told months ago. See above.

What this seems like to me is that after I paid for the job, Leaf Filter has little interest in following up if something goes wrong. The no-come/no-call experiences are totally unacceptable. Yes they did send a tech out to try to fix it, but It took a very long time, and still it isn't fixed

So I would caution anyone who is interested in purchasing a Leaf Filter system to press the sales person about what happens if service is needed after the bill has been paid. I didn't think I needed to when I talked with my salesman, but I was clearly wrong. 5 months after the install it's still not fixed.

It is because of the service experience described above that I would not recommend this product.

Chris Hamersly came out the day after I called. He inspected our current gutters, took measurements and explained LeafFilter advantages over other systems. By the following Tuesday we had LeafFilter installed. The installers were polite, efficient and cleaned up the yard thoroughly when they finished. I would definitely recommend calling Chris and having him come out!

I'm very happy with the work Ryan and Kenzie did installing my new gutters. They were not only friendly but also incredibly meticulous and efficient. They paid excellent attention to detail and handled the clean-up perfectly. A fantastic job from start to finish!

Met with Christopher Hamersley, who measured our house, inspected current gutters, and helped us decide what was best. He offered a price with new gutters, but said we didn't need them, and gave us a better price that worked with our gutters, and fit in our budget. No high pressure to sign anything, offered many options, and showed us what the competition offers. Felt comfortable having him in our home. Gave a great discount for cash payment, too.
The installer was very courteous, went above and beyond working with our old porch, and finished faster than expected. High quality parts and work.
Would recommend to anyone.

They were friendly, no pressure. Did a great job with clean up also.

Our Installer Cris Stemen (CMFS GUTTER SOLUTIONS) was very professional and did everything he could to make sure everything was right and we were happy with his work.

Ken was our salesman, and he helped us through the whole process. very helpful and informative, and being older we can use all the help we can get! We felt very comfortable with him and he was easy to talk to.

Waste of $7,000 dollars for this gutter system. They originally wanted to charge us over 5 figures to install these gutter guards, but we refused to pay that much. They "came down" to $7,000. The sale's rep said he was going to make very little due to the "reduced" price.

Despite all the salesman's boasting of great reviews an American product, veteran workers, etc., etc., the final product and install was terrible.

The first install was done sloppily. A couple weeks latter they did come to fix the improper install. Which consisted of throwing globs of caulk on the gaps.

When more work was requested they simply decided not to show up for the next two appointments.

I've waited a long time for them to make this right before leaving this review, but they simply don't care. They don't bother showing up for set appointments. We have called, multiple times so there's no point in speaking or writing them again.

We would recommend NOT using this company. We feel taken for a lot of money.

My experience was great he did a perfect job

Installer showed up on time and equipped to do the work required. He was very professional and explained all the portions of the work he did. There was no mess left behind. I would recommend the product and Tim Wermuth highly.
