Jonathon Douglass came to our house he was very detailed examining our gutter system. Showed us everything that needed repair. Even told us about things not related to the gutters. We had a person from Leafguard come to our home June 17th. We were interested in the product and also their promotion of $100 gift card if you had an estimate done. We felt like we were at a timeshare the entire time he was here. Even down to the part where they call their boss to get the cost lowered. He did that a couple times in order for us to think he was doing us a favor and lowering the price. They even asked us to give them a review of 5 star while he was here and they would go even lower. I cannot remember the boss' name but our assigned person was Jonathan Douglass. Please beware of this company and their promotion. And, oh, gift card to date has not been received.
A representative from leaf guard came to our house today to provide an estimate for replacing our 24 year old gutters. The representative arrived on time and was polite and knowledgeable, and patiently answered all my questions. Our current gutters are from leaf guard, and if not for damage from a few large limbs I would not need to replace them. I have been very happy with the leaf guard gutters.
We were delighted to learn that Leafguard of Richmond would provide service to our vacation home at Wintergreen. We have used these gutters before and they are wonderful--really keep the leaves out of the gutters. Our vacation home is surrounded by forest so we knew that regular gutters would never work. I called, was given an appointment promptly and Matthew Reid arrived exactly on-time. He answered all of our questions and offered an easy payment plan so we could enjoy the gutters immediately. We are very happy with our purchase because these gutters really live up to their advertising.
Nevin came and presented Leaf Guard to me. He took his time and explained everything thoroughly. He was willing to discuss prices and get discounts for me as well. Here's hoping the next steps of installing go well.

In the spring of 2025, I started the hunt to look at a gutter replacement. The ones that I had on were starting to sag and disconnecting to the house. Water was coming out on both sides of those old gutters, so that's why it was time to look at another solution.
I had looked at both LeafGuard and Leaf Filter as options. Looking at reviews on things such as maintenance, selling tactics, and such, I decided to drop Leaf Filter from the list of options. A friend of my mom had LeafGuard gutters installed earlier in 2025 at the time, and they said they had a great experience with them.
After hearing about that, I contacted LeafGuard through their website. Although they are LeafGuard of Richmond, they also cover the Hampton Roads area as well since there isn't one located here yet. Later the same day I sent the message, I got a call back from them to set up an appointment for them to come out. This appointment was scheduled for July 12, 2025.
On July 12, 2025, Samuel Wynn came to the house to go over what LeafGuard had to offer, including the materials that I could touch and feel to get an idea of what it would be. He was very open and transparent about the costs and no clog warranty. The warranty is lifetime and is transferrable, and if there are any clog issues, they will come out and take care of that at no charge. We went outside to look at measurements and such to ensure the quote was correct in the end. He also pointed out a few issues with the roof, including some holes in the shingles. I will note that after getting that info, I looked into getting a roof inspection, and that was completed by Revamp Exteriors (local company), and they confirmed the same issues Samuel told me about, leading to a roof replacement in the end too.
After going through the presentation and looking at what was needed, I decided to go ahead with this project, but I also asked about discounts that could bring this cost down. I was able to get down by about 10%, so that helped for sure. I went through the financing they offered, which is through Greensky. One big positive was that there wasn't any high-pressure sales tactics used, that so many other contractors tend to do. The project was scheduled for July 23, 2025, though I did push the date back by a week as I ended up needing a roof replacement completed.
The day before the install, a truck came out and dropped off the gutters and such on the yard for the install the following day. The following morning, the installers came out to take off the old gutters and get the new, wider ones on. This process took a few hours, so it wasn't too long for all intents and purposes. About a month or so later, we had an extremely heavy rainstorm causing the water to flow off. I notified LeafGuard and they sent someone out to get a deflector put up to so that it wouldn't do that any longer. I haven't had any issues with that since.
Overall, this was an excellent experience from LeafGuard. I waited a while to get this review together as I wanted to see how it would hold out through a few seasons. I haven't had any issues at this point. This is after we've had snow and ice this winter. The gutters held out very well. As of the time of this review, everything is still attached as it should be with no sagging and such. All in all, if you are looking for gutter solutions for your home, be sure to check them out.

I saw an advertisement about leaf guard on social media and was looking for a solution to my home drainage/gutter problems to protect my foundation. I worked with Dan G. to come up with a solution that worked for my home as well as my budget.
