Leaf guard has always been my go to company whenever I wanted to fix my gutter and they always respond accurately

Salesman saw a naive 25 year old and suckered him right in. Over 15k in expenses to have icicles from my roof more than halfway to the ground. The only explanation given is that “it’s part of the contract” and “clearly you have heat loss issues.” Terribly dissatisfied with how the system looks when you drive by my home in the winter. Please reconsider before you sign on. I urge you to thoroughly review your contract as I quickly read through it while signing and the sales team is not forthcoming with information unless directly asked.

15k estimate for a small footprint home. Pushy sales tactics. You can just feel how outrageous the estimate cost is going to be from the start. After the display case of gutter samples came out I knew I was cooked. I’m surprised the guy didn’t bust out a portable projector to give a full blown presentation and hand out some time share pamphlets while at it. Nonstop down your throat, but wait, there’s more! follow up emails and texts. Such a rip off it’s comical.

Cameron came to our home for an estimate on installation of the
Leadguard gutters. He was thorough in his explanation, knowledgeable and professional. Will update after completion of work.

2nd Update: I’m changing my rating from 1 to 4 stars. After being in contact with manager, Derek, I’m much more happy about the product. We had to have the gutters removed to replace our roof and since being put back up, the gutters are working well. We were able to get a refund for a portion of unnecessary downspout. Communication is still a HUGE issue this company suffers from; including no shows and no calls to confirm teams will be arriving. While trying to work with the customer support can be a bit aggravating, the product works well enough. Be wary if you “have a difficult roof shape” though.
UPDATE: I’d give zero stars if I could. When we purchased the gutters we had the contingency that we needed to have the roof replaced very soon and were rushed into buying this product because we had the reassurance that they would drop and reinstall the gutters as part of their FREE service. TODAY we were told that it would cost us money to do the thing we were guaranteed would be included. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM PLEASE SAVE YOURSELVES THE TIME AND MONEY AND LOOK FOR SOMEONE REPUTABLE.
The product is fine I guess? The service is abysmal. I have no idea which location my service came out of (I will be reviewing all the closest locations for this reason) but the team is awful. First team that came to install had an altercation with my neighbor where the team was being rude. I was able to capture video evidence of the worker being rude to an elderly woman. This happened on May 7th. This team left without doing a final walkthrough. The following day we had heavy rain and the gutters leaked in 9 different locations. I had to call 4 times to speak to someone about coming out the next business day to fix the mistakes that shouldn’t have happened at all. The manager then forgot about this appointment and I had to call to ask when the team would arrive. They tankful came out same day they said they would. This would be 4 days after install. Since then we’ve had more rain and the gutters are still leaking in some places and not draining in others. We have called and messaged over 15 times to get a team out. We were “scheduled” once this Tuesday without being given a time. They were a no show. We’ve been jerked around countless times. After paying $21,000 for gutters, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND because of the service alone. Part of my “contract” was leaving an honest review of the Pittsfield location. Well here it is

Receive initial estimate from Cameron, a customer representative. He was very thorough, precise and provided a clear understanding of their product and service. I was very pleased with his professional. I'm looking forward to the finished product.

I just had an installation(7/25) by LeafGuard out of Albany, N.Y. They have a quality product but it is expensive. 66 dollars a linear foot. 145 ft cost $9000. (76 ft Second story, and 69 ft Single story).Plus $400 Surcharge for 2hr travel time from Albany.
Installation was very good, taking about 6 hours. Raymond, Ezra and Carlos are great guys and serious workers.
LeafGuard is not the outfit you want if cost is your concern. A local contractor would save you thousands.

We opted to invest in their leafguard gutter protection as our aged clogged gutters needed a maintenance free system and their comprehensive approach included new fascia boards, a unique system that prevents water from going over and behind clogged gutters and thus eliminating water damage. Install team was excellent, hard working, experienced employees who communicated well with us. You get what you pay for.

Do not allow yourself to fall for this scam. We should have known better, but fell for their shady salesman tactics, only to get subcontractors at my house who had no real association with the company, and did a horrific install (including leaving holes in my roof, not spaced correctly and not aligned, color mismatched screws, etc.) that will take me thousands of dollars to fix. Very aggressive company when I called to complain. Total scam. Do not do it.

Every local gutter and roofing company I’ve contacted to fix their work is already familiar with the poor quality Leaf Filter is known for — as they regularly hear from frustrated former customers like me.

I am writing this review so speak on the immaculate experiment I had with this company. From start to finish they did and amazing job and everything that was promised was delivered. From the sales rep the first day to the install team 2 days later and even after the job was finished everything has been amazing. I would highly recommend this company and product to anyone in the market!
