Momentum Solar

A few months ago someone came over to explain the service and prices, we had already been doing our own research and identified that they were 22% over price from other companies, so we decided not to go with them unless they would give us a more competitive price. I kept receiving phone calls from the company and explained we are not interested. They've been calling me for MONTHS non stop, from different phone numbers, different cities. I'm SO done with them. This is HARASSMENT at it's fullest. If we were not interested in the first place, this will not convince us at all.

After 2 years of having solar through momentum I can honestly say it's the BIGGEST MISTAKE I'VE EVER MADE!! My yearly electricity costs have doubled since having these fraudsters install solar. Now I have to pay their ever increasing solar charges, plus my electricity bill from pseg which hardly reflects any savings most months of the year. Solar lease is a scam, pure and simple. While they did install the system quickly and hassle free, it has already had some technical issues and customer service was not easy, it took a month to resolve, with many calls need to get things moving. What a nightmare. Now im stuck overpaying for electricity for the next 25 years, and at the end of it all I won't even have a solar system because it gets taken after the lease. What a scam.
Also, don't believe their responses to the bad reviews, they offer no support or solutions, their response to me was literally, "oh we underestimated your energy needs, but good news, we can SELL you more!" I'm sure the positive reviews of the company are from people impressed with the speed and ease of installation, it was quick and easy. But once the bills start coming, and you add the monthly solar charges (which increase every year) to the monthly pseg charges, it becomes clear that this is NOT A GOOD DEAL!!!
Signing up with momentum solar has been the biggest mistake I've made as a homeowner, I wish to God there was some way out of this. Please heed my warning and if you really want solar, buy it outright, stay faaaaaar away from momentum solar and any other solar leasing companies!!!! You have been warned!!

I am very disappointed with this company, the seller very kind before to say "yes", but after that, everything has been a nightmare, they just came to my house, installed the panels and one month after, the panels are disconnected and nobody answer the calls, the seller dessapeared, the website is only a good screem and I dont know what I have to do. Don´t believe them.

If I could give this company a 0-star rating, I would. My experience has been an absolute nightmare. Over a four ago, they installed solar panels on my home, and they have never worked. To make matters worse, the installation has created new problems, causing my circuit breakers to constantly trip.

I've been trying to get this issue resolved for the past four years, but the company seems completely stumped. They were quick to send a salesperson to get the deal done, but now that there's a problem, no one wants to take responsibility. All of a sudden, they're "too busy" and appointments are backed up for a month. It's a shocking display of incompetence and a complete lack of customer service.

I deeply regret not doing my research before hiring them. I'm now stuck with non-functioning panels and higher billing for Con Edison. Take my advice and do your research. Look into other companies and save yourself the time, money, and frustration. They will waste your time, and they clearly don't care about their customers once the sale is made.

It was great experience.Specially people who installed the system.Once again Thank you so much install team. Only part was back and forth building department inspection. Overall it was great.

Had a really great experience with the sales man, Carlos. He was extremely helpful and informative. The agreement meeting went smoothly and we felt really confident and comfortable with everything.

While the initial installation service seemed competent, the experience that followed needs improvement.

Your Negligence Is Costing Me Money. I had solar panels installed over TWO YEARS AGO. Your team failed to install the legally required guardrails, a critical oversight I only discovered myself while filing my taxes. As a direct result of YOUR MISTAKE, I am now unable to claim my NYC tax abatement. I have called your support team MORE THAN TEN TIMES over the past three months, and every single time I am fed the same empty promise that someone will get back to me. NO ONE EVER CALLS BACK. Your company took my money and left me with an incomplete project that is actively costing me thousands of dollars.

A family member requested information and a sales rep came by that gave us the hard sell, wouldn't stop pitching us despite our protestations, and was very hard to get out of my house. Even if this was the best product available, which, based on the awful reviews I read below is clearly not the case, I would NEVER work with this outfit based on their sleazy snake oil approach.

If I could give this place a 0 star review, I would. Seriously. Firstly, they have installed my panels and it’s not working. It has been over more than a year now since it’s been installed, and it has never worked. If ANYTHING, the install has caused more issues than good. My circuit breakers keep chipping because of this issue. I have been trying to communicate this same issue with this company for the past year now as well , and it seems like THEY'RE not even sure how to go about fixing this issue. They were so quick to bring a salesperson over to install the panel, but since they’ve installed it nobody wants to come and check on it. All of a sudden they’re super busy and everything is backed up a month. (I wonder why)
Please be careful about working with this company and don’t make the same mistake as me, I did not do my research about this company and now I am dealing with the consequences. Do your research and look into other companies before engaging your business here. They will waste your time, and they are in no rush to provide bare minimum customer service.

Scammers!!! They will give you a good presentation install very quickly. They will not put the necessary panels on your house for the electrician that you use. And the turn around and try to charge you extra for panels. Left a leaking roof and have no one come to fix it.
Don't let yourself get fooled by the false information of getting governor credit and whatever other lies they tell.
