Today Nelson came over to inspect our boiler and give it a winter tune up. It’s hard to find quality individuals with high quality skill sets. Luckily, Nelson possesses them both. I’ve been using Astar for several years now and am always very satisfied with their service. They have installed an entire HVAC system, changed all my plumbing valves, perform yearly inspections for heating, A/C, and plumbing under my Comfort Care contract, and most recently installed a new toilet. That technician was Albert Kehoe. As are all their employees, he was thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. He went above and beyond to insure the job was completed to my satisfaction. I am very happy with this company and I highly recommend them.

Kent did an excellent job fixing our boiler. He was kind, professional, and easygoing throughout the entire process. His knowledge and attention to detail were impressive, and he made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. He’s also very considerate and took the time to explain what he was doing. Update: I met not only Kent but also Jordan and Ryan from Astar. Since Kent did not completely fix the problem the first time, the company sent Jordan and Ryan for follow-up repairs. They were all very kind and honest, but unfortunately, the issue still wasn’t fixed right away. They kept replacing parts on the boiler, and the cost kept increasing — from about $400 to over $2,000. In total, I’ve spent almost $3,000 on this repair, and it took more than a week for them to finally fix it. I really appreciate their staff — they’re great people — but the total cost was quite embarrassing and frustrating. If the problem had been correctly diagnosed the first time, I might have been able to avoid such a high expense.

Joe’s customer service was superb. He was highly knowledgeable, candid about options and courteous throughout the visit. Outstanding work by Joe. Astars pricing is way overpriced for 2.5 hours of snake and drain work. If not for Joe I would never have signed up for your service plan at the prices you charge.

My technician Dalton and his assistant were great (his name wasn’t in the pull down menu).
Astar answered promptly, sent someone right away, and did the work the next day—so far so great! They replaced our well pump motor and water pump (in the rain I might add!).

It was an awful wiring problem from previous service repair with Silverman Mechanical, who would not return my calls for correction after system failed from their botch job. Astar found the problems and corrected them. Although they are very expensive.
