Stay away!!! Sales process was easy and was excited to have solar installed. I was turned over to Plug PV to manage my project with October install. With tax credit expiring made very clear my intention for staying on timeline and install in 2025. Had my roof redone in preparation only to be fully ghosted by my manager for weeks at a time. Over 10 emails and multiple calls ignored. Finally get an update to find out my project plans had been approved with changes I did not want without my approval! At this point we have wasted a month. Finally get correct plans approved after months of wasted time to be ghosted again by project manager. Another month wasted and after constantly chasing we were able to secure a late December install date. Date of install, some snow during the morning and no one shows up to my house. Have to chase PM again for an update to find out they pulled the install and were not able to install in 2025. costing me additional $15k to proceed with the install. Save your time and money and go somewhere else!

Update: After this mess I very disappointingly cancelled the project and install. Two weeks into January I get a knock on my door 8am no notice, it’s the third party installer here to put my system on. I sent them home immediately. Fully ghosted again by company and customer service!

I was always skeptical about people coming to my house pushing solar. However I decided to listen to the latest person and with all the incentives I decided to get it. The company kept me informed at every step and the rep was available for questions. Since October I am fully pleased with the professionalism and the apps that track and give suggestions as well as test my knowledge about energy.

Solar panels were installed on my home in April 2025. In September 2025, my roof began leaking—an issue that did not exist prior to the solar installation. Since then, I have been stuck in a prolonged and frustrating warranty process involving Palmetto and Omnidian.

My Omnidian warranty case (WO-00290311) has been ongoing for months with no resolution. Below is a summary of the communication timeline to demonstrate the lack of urgency and accountability:
• September 30, 2025 – Initial email sent to Omnidian reporting the roof leak
• November 7, 2025 – Email communications with Palmetto
• November 10, 12, and 14, 2025 – Follow-up emails with Omnidian
• November 30, 2025 – Additional follow-up with no meaningful progress
• December 10, 2025 – Escalation email sent expressing concerns about unacceptable service, incomplete inspection, and missing reports; Palmetto project manager CC’d
• December 30, 2025 – Yet another follow-up as the issue remains unresolved

Despite multiple inspections, the service has been unacceptable. Inspections were incomplete, reports were not provided, and I was told a return visit was required—causing further delays while my home continues to experience water intrusion.

We are now heading into 2026, and this situation has gone on far too long. I have formally requested that the solar panels be completely uninstalled at no charge so that I can move forward with installing a new roof. I have also stated that I am discontinuing my service with Palmetto and will not use or recommend this solar company in the future.

I have requested that this matter be escalated to senior management to review the case in its entirety, including all communications, and to contact me directly. To date, the lack of urgency, transparency, and accountability has been extremely disappointing.

Solar is a major investment. Homeowners should not be left dealing with months of delays, repeated follow-ups, and unresolved roof damage. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company or its warranty partner.

I paid half of the funds ($29,000) as requested in August and am still waiting for an installation date. I get prevarication from Palmetto and GOOD pwr. they say they are waiting for approval from APG&E but APG&E says they have nothing from GOODpwr nor Palmetto. So I am beginning to think that I am being scammed. As we all know if the installation and final approval is not done before December 31 then I will not receive a tax rebate. so am I being scammed?
An update on my previous review. Finally my panels and batteries were installed in late November. The sub contracted crew were quite efficient and installed in about 1.5 days. the panels are working extremely well generating as many as 50-60 KW of energy depending on the weather. The only caveat now is that the installation failed local inspection and the team has to return to address the issues. They are to return finally on Dec 22 with another inspection to follow. So finally I have what I paid for (I paid the other half) and am looking forward to a greatly reduced electricity bill.

I thought this deal was too good to be true, no upfront cost and a reasonable monthly charge for electricity. I was averaging $192 per month prior to install the solar panels. I'm now getting bills under $170 total. It's great to see the daily activity of the panels generating more electricity than I use. This was perfect timing for me as grid electricity keeps going higher. Thanks

Palmetto Solar is a company I highly recommend for excellent customer service. Recently our home was equipped with solar panels. After we waited some time for the power company to approve all its required paperwork needed for our solar system to be connected to the power network, Palmetto intervened with an inquiry or two, which expedited the process with the power company. We were able to start enjoying a much lower power bill (down to the power company's irreducible minimum charge after the first full month of solar panel use). We are delighted to have this option and look forward to continued lower costs for electric power as power company charges very likely continue to rise.

Dawn stopped by to discuss solar and after her explanation I knew I needed to come onboard and did. She did an excellent job of explaining everything about solar energy. She was very patient with me and answered all my questions admirably. She even stopped by after Instalation to check on everything.! Wanted to make sure I was happy. Very pleasant experience from start to finish. I am enjoying my savings every month. Thank you

I am incredibly happy with my new solar system! Every step of the process has been great. The sales person was extremely knowledgeable & helpful. The installation crew was on time & professional. The solar app has been a very useful tool. I am able to see how much energy my panels are producing each day. The system has been saving me hundreds of dollars every month. I wish I would have gone solar years ago!
