Smart Energy Solutions

I purchased all new windows for my home in Oakland. SES was great. They gave me a reasonable price and installed very quickly. The windows look great and the sales person and the team that came to install were all very friendly. I thought something had been damaged during install and they were very responsive and had the owner come out the next day. It turned out everything was fine, but they were ready to take care of it. I would definitely use them again.

They installed the incorrect product and refused to provide a solution to remedy their own error. I authorized 26” windows in bronze and what they installed were 18” windows in white. The manger refused to hear me out and simply said that is what I ordered. But that is not what I ordered. My contract clearly states bronze in 2 different places. The word “white” is nowhere to be found in the entire contract. And the contract clearly states 26” wide but they installed 18” wide windows and filled in the gaps with extraneous amounts of trim. The end result looks completely ridiculous. I did not receive the products or services I authorized and I was met with nothing but hostility when I pointed out their error by both their contractor and their manager. Zero customer service skills. Zero accountability.

Finally decided to replace my original slider door (from 1985). Met with several companies and got multiple quotes but decided to go with Smart Energy Solutions not only for their price, but for their customer service--which I personally prioritize over cost.

Dimitri, Ramona and Serg were outstanding. Great business and work ethic, attention to detail and you can tell they truly care about their work. They were respectful of my home and always took their shoes off or covered the carpet/flooring which I appreciated.

Unbelievable service!! You would have to be a fool to look beyond hiring this company for your window needs!! I met them at a home show while looking at window products for my son's new home. The representative was very friendly and they had a show special going on. I had them and a couple of other companies specializing in the same window product come by my son's house to give us an estimate. They easily won the bidding war. When they arrived to install the windows at my son's house, they were on time and their work was very clean and professional. I was very impressed by their total service, so much that I had them install new windows in my house without ever getting another estimate! They completed the window install on my house and once again I was impressed with their on time performance, quality of work, and professionalism! Ramona was so awesome, efficient, and helpful!! Mike the estimator was great. Andre and his crew worked almost 11 hours straight and without a real break! I am also a licensed contractor and it would have been stupid for me to buy the windows and do the install myself!!

We wanted to replace most of our old, single pane windows and patio doors. We didn't want retrofit windows; they have a thick frame and don't look good. We wanted new construction windows. New construction windows require the removal of the old frames so are much more difficult to install. Three window companies refused to consider new construction windows, but gave us a bid for retrofit. We were lucky to find Valde at Smart Energy Solutions. Because of his vast experience with window replacement, he was able to use new construction windows, and his price was much lower than the others. His crew of four came early in the morning and finished the same day. They did a wonderful job. Thanks Smart Energy Solutions.
