Homeowner Reviews
To go into detail, we signed in November 2024 with an install time period of February-March 2025. We started to follow up in January with our sales rep after hearing nothing. We were told it had been submitted and the HOA was delaying it. This was the response through March. **Lie #1 they never submitted the paperwork until March.
April we were told the windows were there **Lie #2 they weren’t ordered until May.
In May I had enough and reached out to my HOA. They provided me with the email chain from storm tight sent in March and my property manager emailing back the signed paperwork one week later. He was also kind enough to forward me the attachments which to my surprised had my name and signature on them even though no one had ever called me to discuss or sign anything.
***They forged my signature - which tip if you’re going to be dumb enough to do that make sure to SPELL the name correct and put the CORRECT address.
Completely idiocy.
After discovering this I asked for a supervisor. I didn’t get a call from a supervisor but instead an employee who told me he was my account manager who has been trying to reach me unsuccessfully **Lie #3 my contact information was correct the whole time and my sales rep was supposedly reaching out to him for updates the whole time.
He then went on to say that the HOA didn’t approve until the end of April ** Lie #4 i already have the paperwork from the HOA dating March.
When I had asked about all the discrepancies
- the forged signature,
-being told the windows were already there,
-why there was a 4 month delay submitting the paperwork to our HOA
-why they were claiming it was approved in April even though the paperwork dates March
All he had to say was he’d look into it. I asked to speak with a supervisor which he said he would give my information to him to give me a call (never received a call from a supervisor)
In June we finally had our windows installed, 7 months after signing our contract.
That weekend we went to bed and
discovered one of the windows cracked. We called he ordered a new one it got installed in July. That same night the new one got installed a different window cracked. We called he ordered a new one and it got installed 2 months later in September. I did not receive any calls for over 2 weeks after this to schedule the city inspection so I called him. He said he no longer worked there and gave me contact information for someone else. The woman I ended up speaking with was short and unpleasant and I guarantee if it wasn’t for my call no one would have reached out to me to schedule the city inspection.
Do not go with this company unless you want to be frustrated, worried, ripped off and lied to. I truly believe we were taken advantage off and yet I could not get in touch with anyone at the company to express my concerns in hopes of improving their process for the future.
The installation seemed ok originally, 2 months later my front window in the kitchen developed a stress crack? Impact Windows to boot! What does that tell you? Probably would not hold up in a wind storm nonetheless the installation.
The manager of the service department is a very angry woman who decides whether or not she will send her team out. She repeats that it can’t be done for free, even though I’ve said I will pay. But still, we cannot get anyone to come out and quote or service our windows/doors.
I am now aware that lifetime at Stormtight only means lifetime of the company’s current owner, not the lifetime of your home.
Go elsewhere, you will be annoyed at the constant begging to a company that charged $47k for doors/windows they will not service.
Sadly I referred a few friends who all got their windows from Stormtight.
Another competitor gave me a quote without studs locked tight included studs in their invoice even though I didn’t need it and they did not install it, when I disputed it in was told the price is the price and I have to pay it, now I have a open permit on my property and the installation is not completed 2 years later.
I received a email asking me to sign a undated document removing them from them from the permit, these people are horrible business people stay away from them. If I could give them below 1 star I would.
I will be reporting them to BBB and going to help me Howard.
We continue to call and now it goes straight to voicemail when we call and nobody returns our call.
I went with this company for doors because I had my windows in my house done by them and it was phenomenal now I’m terrified that if anything happens to my windows that I’m I’m just out of luck I’ve sunk almost $60,000 worth of money into this company. I can’t even get into my backyard haven’t been able to use my backyard, my grandchildren who live in the home can’t go in the backyard my mother who is a paraplegic cannot even get into the backyard. That’s why we have the French door back there so she could go back there. She can’t even go out there and enjoy anything out there.
I have summarized the on going issues I have experienced with this company.
If you are ok with broken/ defective merchandise and terrible customer service this is the company for you.
Update: I have called and was told by Paige that my French door was received and that I would receive a call by Friday. That was 2 weeks ago. I have not been called. I just called 7/3/25 and was told they would send a message to local office and tell them to call me. I was also told that because it’s almost the end of the work day and they are off tomorrow that the call may come Monday.
This is not acceptable!!!
We had an outstanding experience with Project Manager Juan C. Rodriguez. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and polite. Juan indeed took the time to understand our interests regarding impact of Hurricane 5 Windows and helped us achieve our goal with great care.
Thanks to his guidance, we were able to install impact windows throughout our entire home. Since our house has an open floor plan, the sun rays were damaging our fabrics, but now they are fully protected!
We highly recommend Juan and his installation team. The installers were very organized, clean, and efficient. It was truly impressive to watch them handle such a massive job with such skill and coordination.
The biggest issue was the lack of professionalism and communication. There were multiple instances where the company didn’t show up as scheduled, and getting in touch with them was extremely difficult. Calls and messages often went unanswered, making the entire process stressful and not worth the price we paid.
While the actual window installation was done well, the final touches and inspection process were poorly handled. Our two front windows already have visible scraping on the trim, which is disappointing given the cost. With a lifetime warranty, I worry about how long it would take them to fix any future issues if it already took over a month to finish this job.
Overall, I would not recommend this company. For the price, I expected much better service and quality. I’d advise looking elsewhere for a more reliable and professional experience.
