Sun Solar

I’ve been trying to get Sun Solar to respond to warranty service on a down inverter since 9/15/25. Today marks 1 month with basically no plan to address the issue. I’ve sent multiple emails, called a half a dozen times and even mailed them certified mail today with my complaint. My system originally cost $236,000 and it’s only 2 years old. I haven’t had real time tracking since it went down over a month ago and nobody seems to care about the warranty they sold me when I call or email them asking for help.

Beware. They will happily take your money and when there is an issue they will ghost you.

Great Company to get started with! Cody was an awesome guy to work with, walked us through the whole process and was very thorough and polite. He helped explain the process from start to finish and was able to answer any questions we had. Set up was done in a day. Even the guys setting up were very knowledgeable and helpful. My Husband and I have been talking about going solar for the past several years. A few months ago when our electric bill doubled we decided it was time to get serious about it. My husband called sun solar and we started working with Morgan Windsor, Morgan has been great to work with. Morgan is always on top of any questions or concerns we have, him and his team members have been good about staying in contact with us and keeping us in the loop. So far we have been very happy with our sun solar experience our unit is 30 panels and we choose to get the battery as well.

We're really happy with our Sun Solar install at our home in Kansas City. Sun Solar is a great small business with high quality people. The installers were very professional, and I've had a good experience with customer service and sales. The system took a bit longer than expected to become operational, but that was mostly due to my electric company, which I believe dragged their feet in approving us to operate. I love the look of the panels on the house, which are barely noticeable from the street. Most people who come to our home say they didn't notice the panels at all. The system works great, even in the winter. I highly recommend this company if you are looking for a reliable Solar Company in the greater KC area.

I’ve been tossing around the idea of solar energy after I bought my home and received a very high electric bill that the electric company couldn’t explain ! So I contacted several different solar companies ! Sun Solar stood out to me because of their outstanding customer service for starters ! Then when I set a time and date for apt they showed up on time ! Then the sales rep Samuel (Sam) that came to my house to explain it all was over the top ! From how it all works right down to the money aspect of it ! He explained everything ! Very easy to get approved ! Thank you sun solar ! You guys are the best !

Very happy with the sales rep and install crew. They did a great job and great communication. Very honest with what options to get and not to get. Update: First thing you need to know is you agree to give them a five star Google review and I did. And I stand by what I said about the sales and install crew. The nearly complete failure of customer service after word is a shame. The techs that come do the work are great, unfortunately they could not fix the problem and I was told by them another one would be there the next day. Here it is three days later and just got an email that one will be there in 6 more days. In short sales and install 5 stars, after that support -10 stars.

Had a great meeting with Brad Butts! Our situation was a bit different due to some other matters with our home and Brad, Aaron, and the rest of the Sun Solar crew understood and was able to adjusted their processes to accommodate our needs. Definitely recommending them to all my friends!

New customer. So far I feel well informed and the process implementation was easy. Will update as installation is completed and we see the outcome of using solar on our electric bill.
