I called and spoke with Shannon, who was friendly and set me up with an appointment to look at my plumbing issue. I was impressed that they were able to come out next day.
Leah sent me a text message asking if I was available earlier than my appointment window (a welcomed surprise) for the tech to come out.
Cameron came to my house and quickly assessed that I had a leaking pipe. He was able to provide a quote on site and get the repair completed quickly and (most importantly) correctly. I no longer have a leak and I can sleep at night again.
The cost of the repair was reasonable and I am thankful that Tipping Hat was able to come out so quickly.

Tipping Hat delivered outstanding service from start to finish. Our sales rep took the time to walk us through every option and recommended a system that fit our home and our budget. The installation team was excellent. They respected our home, explained each step, kept us updated throughout the day, tested everything thoroughly, and left the space spotless.
Everyone we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. They worked around our schedule, answered every question quickly, kept us informed about arrival times, and even matched competing quotes without hesitation.
Highly recommend Tipping Hat for anyone needing a new HVAC system.

I called Tipping Hat because they had a $49 come out special and I needed to know what was going on with my furnace. Joe was sent out with his assistant to check the furnace and to tell me what was wrong with the furnace and what needed to be done plus the cost. He stated to give them a call back and they would get it done. I called them back to let them know that I wanted the work done. They came at the time at the time that the appointment was set for. They were very professional and polite. They tested the furnace to make sure that it worked correctly. I would gladly call Tipping Hat back for any furnace problems that may occur in the future. Great company to work with.🙂

The Tipping Hat team did a great job with diagnosing problems with our current furnace in a standard pre-winter furnace inspection and we were really impressed with how quickly they moved a team in to completely remove our old furnace and a/c and replaced it with a heat pump/furnace combination. Completed the work the next day, kept us well informed as work progressed and did a very professional job. Also did a great job explaining how everything is supposed to work. We had them install a whole house water softener during this project as well.
There are only 3 reasons why we couldn't give them a 5-star rating:
1) Although it appeared to be working when the team left, the heat pump had issues immediately that prevented it from working and needed to be addressed. I didn't like that we had to make another service appointment based on their availability for correcting this issue, I felt that they should come out immediately and get it working, especially for the price we paid. However, they were able to come back out within 48 hours - fortunately, it was fairly warm in October so there weren't any issues.
2) Price - expensive, but they do quality work and would still recommend Tipping Hat.
3) Final City Inspection Closure - I feel a little like they've moved on since in their mind the installation is complete, their fee has been paid. However, my understanding was that a City Inspector still needs to come out and sign off on the final installation. We have contacted them as they requested to coordinate this final part of the process with no response. If our timing assumption is incorrect or there is another issue preventing us from wrapping this up I would understand, but after reaching out to them numerous times, we have had no response to indicate what, if any, issues are causing this delay. It's been over a month since the completed installation.

Outstanding experience! Tom P., Jillian D., and Katrina H. from Tipping Hat Plumbing, Heating & Electric were truly fantastic. The service performed was to flush out and do routine maintenance for my hot water tank, including checking for wear and tear. Lucky for me, nothing major was discovered, but it was absolutely worth having the service done. It gives me peace of mind that the tank will last a good long time. They maintained excellent communication throughout, and the work was performed professionally, right on time, and with impeccable quality. The value for the price is incredible.

I used Tipping Hat last year to replace my water heater and received excellent service. This year I wanted to take a closer look at my very old furnace in a very old home. After talking through the process with Joe and his supervisor Dan, I decided to have the furnace replaced. Dan got me scheduled quickly and the process went very smoothly. Steve and Cole were my installers. Being an old house, my thermostat needed relocated as well as a vent. These changes were done extremely well and if you have an old house, you know this is no easy job. They walked me through the details of my new furnace and thermostat. A call out to Elizabeth for all her help. This was a very professional team and I highly recommend.

I had Tipping Hat out to my place for help with an attic fan switch and wiring some floodlights. At that time I had some issues with the tech. Well my attic fan had stopped working and so I hesitantly called them back for warranty work. Justin B was my tech this time and I couldn't be more pleased! He was respectful and non-condescending. He let me watch his work and explained what he was doing and why. He even took a look at some of my other projects and issues and was more than willing to give me some helpful tips! So Justin saved the reputation of Tipping Hat, in my eyes. Well done!

I can’t say enough good things about Vasile who put in my furnace and heat pump. From start to finish, he worked nonstop with incredible focus and professionalism. The attention to detail really stood out—he made sure everything was done right, cleaned up thoroughly, and didn’t leave a single piece of trash behind. It’s rare to see that level of dedication and pride in work these days. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for top-quality service!

Tipping Hat has been absolutely wonderful. We were looking to move our old junction box from outside the house to inside the garage. They explained the process to us, went over several different options, describing them fully. No pressure sales. They kept us in the loop every step of the way. Tipping Hat was also very helpful in pointing out the best place to place the few electrical outlets we needed added. As we make more updates to our home, we will for sure be calling on Tipping Hat for future projects.

Buyer Beware! I have used Tipping hat several times over the years and was initially impressed by their prompt service albeit not cheap. Unfortunately, from my most recent experience with Seth C. has driven me to not be using them again. With several contractors waiting to put in drywall and paint I called Tipping Hat to fix a leaking washer hose line. To replace the two fittings cost $1350 and it took less than 1 hour. (pictured below). The next day a sink that was installed incorrectly (by another contractor) was leaking underneath and I called again to fix this. I was told that there was a mandatory "leak finding fee" of $500. Evidently me pointing to the very visible leak was insufficient. I was then quoted $6000 to rearrange my pipes in that area and replace with pvc, the cheaper option was $3500 to cut off a section around it. The cheapest solution, that I had to suggest, was what is shown it the picture and still cost $2500 (which he also refused to warranty). All told, maybe 1.5 hrs of work. I have since called another plumber out and they suggested this was maybe a 300 dollar effort.
