We have selected Vivint because the technology was already installed in the home we purchased. The sales guy (Ryan) was great, and got us in contract late in the business day - kudos for extra effort.
Beyond that, I was very disappointed in my overall customer support experience post sales. Service calls were cancelled for no reason by the company, and I spent many hours over two days, several “transfers,” and a couple disconnects before finally connecting with someone with experience and authority to address my service issues.
Everyone I spoke with was courteous. But the Vivint customer service organization suffers from an obvious virtual and global offshore staffing model. My issue ( a cancelled service call which cost me time and travel expenses to meet the tech at my new home 200 miles away) did not follow a “script.” I was transferred and talked with 9 different people before getting to someone that could help. In addition, many people I spoke with were offshore from the US, were difficult to understand because the “English” was a second language for them, meaning that I had to repeat my problem many different times and ask for clearer responses.
Holistically, MY CX POST SALE WAS CATASTROPHIC, thanks for asking. I did have a separate activation call before this appointment which was an ok experience for me.
Even more frustrating was the last support agent I worked with who tried to upsell me on equipment before we even discussed resolving my issue! Aside from that, I think his name was Edward, located in the Philippines, was able to resolve my tech appointment issue.
So far, my experience with Vivint Customer Service is in the D+ / C- range.
