the WORST windows l have ever had. the hand cranks break off the first time you use them the weather stripping is peeling off in the first 6 months trim is wrapping nails sticking through trim. Gapps under windows screens don't fit and let bugs in when windows are open.only half screens on windows. casements with holes in them that let bugs in.i have never had so much road noise with the old windows my family has been in this house for 101 years. i have had other window company's out to look at them and they all said these are the cheapest made windows they ever had seen. I would not let this company put a window in a dog house let alone any other home. I give them no STARS

This company is VERY DISHONEST and I would NEVER recommend this mess of a company!! The sales man (Kelley) came to the house to do an estimate on the basement bathroom remodel. He stayed for hours trying to make the sale. We decided just to focus on the shower (main issue) because the full bathroom remodel was about $30k and we would get everything else done later. He knew we were still looking to get other quotes that week so he offered to see if he could get the price lowered so we would sign with this company that day. We agreed and signed with the company because of the great price they offered to sign that day. We even waited 2months because we trusted this company to provide this installation (as you see in the picture that was one of the key factors we wanted in this company “HONESTY”). Part of the shower design was to have a door installed since the previous one taken out had one. Also, there are foster kids who use this shower and a door is wanted to help them not get the floor wet!!! Now finally get the shower done and NO DOOR. Then the salesman and supervisor says the lower price was because no door. WHAT MANIPULATION AND DECEPTION!! As I can see this is a trend with this company by looking at the reviews. DISHONESTY AND DECEPTIVE !! Thank God we did not get the entire bathroom done with them. So now we will be paying another company to install the door and complete the bathroom and the other bathroom. As a college professor in business these are the companies talked about that are not for the customer but look for ways to profit of dishonesty and manipulative tactics!!

Wouldn’t recommend anyone to use this company. There was horrible communication, terrible timelines and they weren’t honest about the work that would be done.
After waiting months for them to start the renovation, they tore my (only) bathroom out and realized that some of the parts ordered were incorrect and we had to choose new finishes and I was left with a half finished (ONLY) bathroom for another 8-10 weeks.
At one point the sales rep showed up to my house with no prior communication at 8pm to ask for additional fees regarding the mistakes they made.
Essentially my experience was issue after issue and we had to go out of our way on multiple occasions to even get the work done. Unfortunately there were no positives to working with this company.

This is a follow up to my husband Brandon Brown's previous review as we hit a word/character limit. We noticed that our shower had failed and was leaking into the basement about 16 months after it was installed by YHIC. Considering the degree of rot in the subfloor and joists, it’s likely that the shower was leaking for a few months prior. Over the course of a week, we called the phone numbers on the original documents, their customer support, their warranty department, our local office, and even put in an electronic request through their website. We didn’t hear back from anyone until the end of day Friday (5 days after initial contact) saying they could maybe come out the following week to look at it but if it was a plumbing issue then they’d have to find a plumber. We never expected immediate service, but at least hoped they would have been in contact sooner than 1 week. After all, we're paying customers and they gave their word on a warranty contract. At this point, YHIC’s communication proved to be just as unreliable as when we worked with them over a year ago. We were frustrated that we couldn’t use our VERY expensive shower for almost a week at this point, so we called in our own plumber to address the issue. The plumbers had to make two trips out because there were actually TWO leaks in the shower. They found out that the neck to the shower head wasn’t fixed to the plumbing correctly and that there was no Teflon tape used on the threads, thus causing it to leak down the backside of the wall. The second leak came from the caulking failing. If you read the first review, you may remember that we complained about the poor caulk application and that it separated from the shower walls within 1 week. Well, it separated once again in several places, and some of them were not apparent just by eyeballing it. One vertical corner seam had an 8-inch run where the caulking separated but you couldn’t tell immediately. It wasn’t until we poked it with our hand that we realized we could stick our whole pinky in between the panels and into the void behind the shower. It had been 1 ½ weeks at this point without the shower working and we didn’t want to waste more time waiting on YHIC to possibly come out to re-caulk the tub, plus they’d probably use the same material that doesn’t stick to the shower, so we just bought some caulk and re-did the entire lower half of the shower. Once those two changes were made, the leaking stopped, and we knew that was the issue. While the plumbers were helping us, YHIC followed up and we informed them of all these steps to which they offered to give us some additional caulking, confirmed this wouldn’t void the warranty, and to let them know what else we found out as they were willing to come out and inspect the shower. We called them back once the leaks were fixed and didn’t receive an answer, so we left a polite message recapping everything that I have here and asked if the warranty covers damages from the shower failing. I don’t believe in being rude or aggressive when receiving poor service because it doesn’t make things better and makes people less likely to want to work with you and help you. Despite our professionalism over a leak that should have never happened and repairs that should have been covered for free, YHIC seems to have shut off communication with us after mentioning the damage as a result of their work. So, now I guess I’m stuck with a soft spot in my sub floor, vinyl floor planks that no longer stick in that spot, and an unknown degree of wood rot that has allowed white mold to grow on the underside in the basement. If you stuck around this long to read all of this, do not choose YHIC for any of your projects. This is a big city with dozens of other contractors that will do a better job and treat you better in the process. Just don’t take the chance on them, it’s not worth it. We’ll update this review if anything of note happens in the future.

UPDATE: the company replied to this review and said they would reach out to me. They have not. Do not trust this company.
The lack of experience in home renovations and product knowledge as well as the failure of the company to train their employees caused this project to be delayed significantly. This company does not provide realistic expectations for customers or subcontractors and there are communication problems from YHIC to subcontractors and YHIC to customers. This company cannot hold employees. Your best bet is to find a different company or find your own subcontractors and manage it yourself.
In September 2024 we had a consultation with Mark from YHIC to redo our bathroom. During this consultation we addressed a concern about bubbling in the lathe and plaster wall. Mark assured us that it was a non issue. I was told the renovation would take two days to complete.
Subcontractors started the demolition of the bathroom on January 6, 2025 and let me know that they ran into issues with the bubbled wall and would make phone calls to find out how to proceed, suggesting that the easiest way to proceed would be to remove the wall and drywall it. They were approved to drywall the area by Nate, a higher up from YHIC. Mark came by at 1:30PM while I was at work and told them they could not put up drywall.
At 7:20PM Mark came to my house, unscheduled, and uninvited. He demanded more money ($650) to drywall the area and said either I can pay him or find someone else to drywall the space. Mark attempted to shake me down for money due to his error, and what I would assume to be a loss of commission for him because of his negligence. He called the manager to see what he should do. I received no apology from him or the manager
January 8, 2025 - Subcontractors went out of their way to provide a new back panel as the one that was sold to us was too short for the area, and the manufacturer does not make any larger. I now have to wait six more weeks for a new item and my bathroom to be finished. This project went through three people from the company and nobody caught this oversight.
-Mark was fired
March 10, 2025 - received a text message from Kody, our project manager letting us know our new panels came in and that the project would be sent for the team to schedule.
March 27, 2025 - no word from the company on scheduling, texted Kody back, no response
March 31, 2025 - texted Kody back, still no response.
-Called the scheduling department for an appointment, the majority of lines from that department were disconnected from service. Kody no longer works at the company and nobody had oversight on our project
-Had to take time out of my day to go into the warehouse to schedule someone to come out and finish my project.

We got our windows replaced They did a great job getting it done. Williams Lockhart was really good with explaining the process and how much it would help, especially since we have windows that face the west. It made our house quieter as well being close to the interstate.

Installers did a great job, they cleaned up well, put tarps down. They came early and worked hard for 1.5 days- bathroom looks amazing after 55 years of dealing with the outdated unit, we are extatic to use the new facility. Matt stopped out and double check the work, gave me his card. I would Higley recommend them for your next project! We worked with with Bill Lockhart and he did a great job. He was very professional and we really appreciated his suggestions. He was a pleasure to work with.

Mark was amazingly helpful from start to finish, and the windows are amazing too!
Take it from a man who's work on homes his whole life, give them a call.

Wanted to give them a chance based on all the reviews. Cancelled on me twice in the same day, then demanded my spouse and I both be present for a reschedule. Maybe ascertain if the other person even wants to be involved before making those kind of demands. In the end the up front communications from this company was terrible. There's plenty of other options so time to move on.
