COVID-19 news and updates change quickly and frequently. Some of the information in this article may soon be out of date. We will do our best to keep details updated during this challenging time. The article below reflects information as of March 25, 2020.
At Modernize, we continue to monitor the fast-changing COVID-19/Coronavirus outbreak and our country’s response on a national, state, and local level. We understand Modernize has an important role in keeping contractors and homeowners connected during these challenging times.
Modernize continues to be seen as a trusted online resource for homeowners. Homeowners are seeking to feel sheltered and comfortable within their homes, now more than ever.
Homeowner Demand Continues Despite COVID-19
During the week of March 18, while many major cities had social distancing and working from home measures in place, we saw more than 290K visits on our main Modernize website. Within those visits, more than 59,000 homeowners submitted a form— requesting to be paired with local and national contractors. The demand from homeowners has remained strong, even in the face of national Coronavirus concerns.
To increase homeowner insight for contractors, we survey our homeowners on a weekly basis to learn more about their home improvement preferences and pain points. We are currently asking homeowner’s about their project plans during COVID-19.
Our most recent survey shows more than 40 percent of homeowners would be willing to schedule a virtual consultation for their project with contractors. For homeowners unable to meet virtually, we are following up to learn more.
Meet With Homeowners Virtually
If your business is able to offer virtual appointments, we want to help you connect with homeowners as quickly as possible. During this time of social distancing, you can now highlight your virtual capabilities on your Modernize Contractor Profile, to be displayed within Modernize’s Homeowner Resource Center. We direct all homeowners to this online resource center to help them request appointments with contractors and prepare for their project. To add and display your virtual availability, connect with your account manager today.
We will continue to help you evolve with the precautions and recommendations around COVID-19. We remain committed to supporting your business and our homeowners. Thank you for your partnership.
