I know this will be long but hope it will help with your roofing desicion. Our household is different. My husband is a former Marine Vietnam era Vet. He is no longer able to make maintenance decisions so it fell to me and I knew nothing about roof replacement but that was now the case. To complicate matters our daughter lives with us, and is also a disabled vet (10 years Navy, medically discharged) and will inherit once we are gone. I did extensive research on line, at local library, and as luck would have it Erie was the 4th roofing contractor I met with in working my way through this project. Tim Mcgrew, their salesperson was knowledgeable and patient and my first contact with Erie. His explanations and patience with my two zillion questions was remarkable. He also walked me through their financing options allowing me to end with a comfortable monthly payment (we live like so many retirees are on a fixed income) and also allowed me to determine a down payment I was comfortable with without having to exhaust our savings. Our old roof was a 30 yr roof that had only lasted about 12 yrs. but at that time no one was giving “written guarantees”. Erie not only guaranteed the roof, it’s transferable, if at some point we sell. The value of our home increased by the amount spent of the project. The crew was polite worked hard finished in one day left the property perfectly cleaned and I had a beautiful roof. They were not the lowest bid but had no hidden clauses. If when they removed the old roof there were issues, the cost would go up accordingly, under the competing others. Not Erie! The final price was “the” price. As the old saying goes “ you get what you pay for “. But you know peace of mind doesn’t have a price tag! From the beginning with Tim McGrew to standing and looking at a wonderfully finished project the whole experience left me sure I had made the right decision. Making a major home choice alone for the first time was scary. They never pressured me. Gave me good information. Throughly inspected the roof, attic area, which the other three contractors did not do as carefully and answered all my questions, even some dumb ones, with patience. Thank you Erie. You made this scary task easier than I could have imagined. I would give you 10 stars if I could and am sleeping well knowing I made not only the right choice but the best!

Sales team is quick to respond and eager to work with your needs, goals and resources. The scheduler works with financing and pulling the resources needed for your project, the Installation manager works with you to schedule everything, goes over the contract to ensure that all the work is done to your stated desires. The installation team is quite efficient and respectful of your premises. Afterwards the Installation manager will inspect and go over things with you to make sure the work was done to your satisfaction. I am quite pleased with this experience. This roof is expected to last a LONG time.

Process easy to understand. Everyone was polite and respectful. The old roof was removed, new one installed and cleanup was finished all in around 8hrs.

Our initial consultation with Erie Home was very professional, including a complete digital scan of our roof which we were able to review to agree on pricing. The install team arrived early on the agreed day and was able to finish the entire tear-off and install of 4000 sq ft of roof by mid-afternoon. They did an excellent job with cleanup as well. Only issue I had was that when the install team arrived, I could not speak with any of them, as none spoke English, and they started tearing off the roof before I was able to reach the install supervisor to ensure someone bilingual would eventually be there if any problems arose. Luckily no problems and the new roof looks great.

Erie Home Roofing has an exceptional team. They are very polite and understanding. The roof was scheduled to be done in two days, and it only took one day. The cleanup crew was fantastic. We are very happy with our new investment.
THANKS ERIE FOR A JOB WELL DONE!!!

The process was top notch from start to finish. The materials used were high quality, being reinforced where lesser shingles are not. The layer under the shingles was excellent quality also, being rated to withstand hurricane conditions. The warranty was another great selling point: 10 years any issue repaired at NO COST, the next 20 years any issue repaired at small OOP cost. After being presented with all the information my conclusion was, "Why wouldn't a person go with Erie?"
The crew did a great job starting at 8 AM and finishing the WHOLE HOUSE at around 7:30 PM. Everything was done well with attention paid to problem spots to make them right. They left the property looking better than when they arrived. I would not hesitate to recommend Erie to anyone needing roofing work done.

Material quality was excellent.
Workmanship was very good.
The price was high.
They did not ensure that I had all the documents I had to review before the 3-day review period had expired.
I should have had ALL documents within hours of signing the contract.
There was far too much debris thrown off the roof without regard for the damage and danger below.
They should collect debris on the rooftop in plastic tubs and empty the tubs directly into the dumpster.
They made a lot of noise and potential damage to the inside of the house by repeatedly dropping double bundles of shingles, presumably from shoulder height, directly onto the roof. The noise was horrendous, and everything shook.
They should take greater care and lay the heavy bundles down onto the roof instead of just dropping them.
They should do a better job of cleanup.
I am still finding many pieces of shingle, underlayment, celophane strips, and nails around the house and on the neighbor's property.
After they left, I found more than 1 dozen nails on and near the driveway. VERY VERY BAD !!
I was surprised, a few days after completion, that I received an unexpected letter from the city about a building inspection that was required and had to be scheduled to check for code compliance.
I should have been advised that this would occur.
The project should not be considered complete until after the city inspection and resolution of any issues.
